£80 shipped to the UK.
2023  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 1 MH/s Scrypt Mining Rig on: January 01, 2014, 10:22:32 PM
I approximately the same price for a 3mh/s machine, welded alu frame and delivery.

I'm in the UK.

OS: Ubuntu 13 - free

Mobo: Asrock 970 Extreme4 - £30

GPU: 3x Asus DirectCU II 7850 - £150

RAM: 4gb - £20

PSU: 850w Corsair TX850M - £50

CPU: AMD Sempron 145 - £20

SSD: 32 gb - £30

total: £300. In my book, that's about $500. If you want to remove your head from the clouds / put down the crack pipe, I'll offer you $500 including delivery as your original price is just crazy talk.

They go used on ebay for like £75-90 each. Where are you getting £150 for 3 from? Also that motherboard is going for £50 used and £80 new. The psu is also worth like £90 so probably £65-70 used. I might be able to get those parts that cheap if I start following some of the trucks near my town.

Same here. I've never had any issues whatsoever.
2025  Economy / Scam Accusations / [WARNING] Vortech Labs on: January 01, 2014, 06:36:57 PM
x-post from here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=391134.msg4257292#msg4257292

So I checked out their webpage and here are some of the interesting things I found:

1) Some of the mining machines are simply Mac Pro cases with a badly photshoped logo
2) The image for "Sandra Soto" a " lead sales representative" is a stock image. Here is the url http://vortechlabs.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/japanese_businesswoman_with_arms_crossed_BLD076599-100x182.jpg
3) David Martin is actually Sheldon-Yellen (Chief Operating Officer of Belfor)
3.1) He was on Undercover Boss
4)Tim Friar same situation as Sandra
  4.1)http://vortechlabs.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/F0053880-Businessman_using_tablet_computer-SPL-100x182.jpg
5) Actually most of their "About" page is fake
5.1) The image seen here http://vortechlabs.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/multiple-gpu-password-cracker.jpg is not even a mining machine
    5.1.1) http://arstechnica.com/security/2012/12/25-gpu-cluster-cracks-every-standard-windows-password-in-6-hours/
6) Apparently they are the only place in the world that has stock of the BFL Monarch (Fyi, even BFL doesn't have them)
 6.1)http://vortechlabs.com/products/
7) Also apparently "Danny Brenner" is not actually a Seo Expert (No surprise there)
 7.1) http://vortechlabs.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/hipster-brooklyn-europe-mac-laptop-computer.jpg

There is probably a lot more  stuff with this site that is more than a little bit dodgy but hopefully the above should be enough.

For the record: I was never scammed by Vortech Labs and the above information is only an observation.

2027  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: For Mining Noobs : MemoryCoin Paying $3 a day for your AES-NI CPU on: January 01, 2014, 03:09:02 AM
too late. I am pointing my 7950 and R9 270 to the pool already, while my FX8350 has not arrived. Now what am I going to do with that FX8350, for 200W heater?

Good for you! But CPU miners can still earn $3 a day.

For threads, you've got to use a power of 2 - so either 8 or 16 - you'll need to run it from the command line to set the number. Use 8 for one instance, and 4 for another to get to 12.

I will definitely try that in the morning for now I will give it a test run of 16threads. I have Xeon so the performance should be quite good. I have also decided to make a test run with my 7950. Although that being said I would like to learn more about the currency before I fully commit. Is your homepage the best place to learn about the currency?
2028  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: For Mining Noobs : MemoryCoin Paying $3 a day for your AES-NI CPU on: January 01, 2014, 02:51:24 AM
How do I limit the amount of threads? I only want to use 12 threads.

If you could ship them to the UK (obviously for an extra fee), I would be interested.

This thread has about as much bs in it as some of the BFL threads.  Wink

2034  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Urgent 7950 on: December 26, 2013, 03:39:13 PM
No thanks.

Good luck but I highly doubt that you will get a gpu from anyone considering your offers are so low.

LOL - To be honest... I should have ordered 10 of these - they're out of stock now Cheesy

For anyone interested the deal does check out. Here is the site: http://www.pixmania.co.uk/
and the deal page: http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/cheap-7950-graphics-card-sapphire-169-pixmania-1-day-deal-1768896

Nice work. I really hope they will be back in stock soon so I can purchase two or more . I'm sorry but since that deal is no longer available and probably won't be for a long while I'm not willing to lower my price.
2035  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS]XFX 7950 DD 3GB £200 delivered on: December 26, 2013, 02:05:59 PM
BUMP!!!!!!

Hi I'll offer £100 max. Reason for this is because I just bought a new sapphire 3gb 7950 for £170. I'm not lying. I'll show you the invoice If you want.

Nah sorry that offer is extremely low ball. You must have gotten extremely lucky. I really doubt you could find another one for that much.I can go £195 delivered. If you can find me a legitimate place that will sell me a new sapphire 7950 for £170, I will buy at least 2*.

How many k/hash does yours do?

I have never used it on "high usage" option  so I really don't know but on the "low usage" option in guiminer it does around 425kh/s.

Settings:
    Thread Concurrency: 8192
    Vectors: 1
    GPU threads: 2
    Intensity: 13
    Worksize: 256

You would have to ask around to find out what this card really does.

Hi there. I got one of these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127667

Gimme a price?
Hi, I'll offer 0.38btc for it Inc shipping if it's new Smiley
It's not new, but I only mined on it for a month. The last several months it's been sitting idle.

I'm looking for something closer to 300.

In that case 0.3btc. I just bought a new sapphire 3gb 7950 for £170 on sale.

Where? I highly doubt that considering most websites/stores don't even stock them anymore. The ones that do stock them are asking £250+ .They go for around £220+ used on Ebay. Congratulations if you really did get that deal. I'm willing to sell my XFX 7950 for £195 delivered.
