Blocksafe consortium is November 28-29th in Alexanderia , VA Space Summit November

TRIG GONNA MOON!!!

Couldn't agree more. This is real world application of blockchain tech in a 50B industry in the USA alone. The uses for personal, corporate security, and government are massive and game-changing.
Think about next time a cop shoots an innocent person, self-defence firearm discharge, military combat, etc: having immutable data on ballistics, GPS etc.

884  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is BCH not King? on: November 22, 2017, 01:36:38 PM
Why do you guys think we didn't move to BCH from BTC? Even though the segwitx2 was cancelled, BCH still seems to be Bitcoin 2.0

BCH is faster and cheaper now because it doesn't have anywhere near the same amount of traffic BTC has to cope with. Bitcoin core are 100% on the right track, they have Segwit so it can scale and still keep the network secure. Bigger blocks are not the answer right now. Once Segwit adoption improves Bitcoin will be ready for the future. BCH is Bitcoin 2010. BTC is Bitcoin 2017.

886  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can be hacked on: November 22, 2017, 06:30:33 AM
Many say that Bitcoin is the safest way to hold value because Bitcoin cannot be hacked. But for many users that is not true.

It depends on how you look at it. Think about this first:

I sell you a door with a lock that genuinely cannot be opened by a thief. I now say that no-one can rob your house.

Of course it is true that no-one can open your door, but it is not true that the house cannot be robbed. The thief can smash the window, pick your pocket when you are on the street, trick his way into your house and so on and so on.

In Bitcoin many believe that because the Bitcoin ledger itself cannot be hacked, their money is safe. That is why they say Bitcoin cannot be hacked.

But it is actually quite easy to steal people's Bitcoin by hacking their wallets, stealing their passwords, hacking into exchanges and so on and so forth. We see it every day.

When you hear "Bitcoin cannot be hacked", many take this to mean that their Bitcoin cannot be stolen.

They are not technically knowledgeable so when they hear the words "cannot be hacked" they believe it menas their money is safe. For them "Bitcoin" is the whole collection of the ledger, the wallet, the exchange, their own computer

Many have their Bitcoin stolen, and therefore for many people they have to stop believeing that Bitcoin cannot be hacked.

For most non-technically knowledable people, the true phrasing is that Bitcoin can be hacked, and is being hacked on a daily basis.

The Bitcoin actually can't be hacked, it's too hard and difficult; what hackers do is put a trojan in some junk mail which the user open, steal all the info about the wallet (address, password, etc) and transfer to 2 or 4 accounts in order to lose tracks.

This is something very common and usually, the targets are people who have a big amount of BTC in one account.
887  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin versus other offline currencies on: November 21, 2017, 06:00:51 PM
As a NEWBIE, how would you explain bitcoin as against other offline currencies?
Which one has more market value and why do you think so ?

There are no coins that can compete with Bitcoin in any matter. The whole market of other cryptocurrencies is totally dependent on Bitcoin and its price. Their rise and fall, their adoption and all, it starts and finishes with Bitcoin. So obviously bitcoin will have and has the highest market value and it will always be the same. I don't think there will be a coin which can stand still against Bitcoin, unless Bitcoin surprisingly disappears and some other coin takes its place.

Yes, right bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrencies very rightly but OP was mentioning offline currencies which I guess he meant USD EURO etc.
so returning to the query of OP at the moment bitcoin is in starting phase of global adoption. Cryptocurrency is the future we are moving towards a whole digital world and in the coming years, it will definitely worth a lot more than the offline currencies(maybe they will no more have their existence in future ).
888  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what is the right time to cash out? on: November 21, 2017, 05:29:46 PM
I was so nervous that when bitcoin price dropped to 6000$ I was scared to loose more and withdrew my coins only to regret later that it became 8000$.
Please help me with your advice /opinion.

That is quite normal for a newbie (new to trading ) to panic and sell the coin. but I would like to suggest never sell your coin in panic specially BITCOIN. If it is altcoin I can understand selling at a meagre loss of 10-15% but never sell your bitcoin. do your research and at least try to stay in your trade for mid to long-term period. otherwise, you will lose money in future too.
889  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you still buy Bitcoin? on: November 21, 2017, 04:26:30 PM
Hey guys. I was asking my self "Should I buy Bitcoin now? What if it's gonna go down after I buy?". What do you think? Should I buy or wait?

If you are putting your money for long-term then you can buy bitcoin any time because it is gonna move upwards in long-term. with all the news of upcoming forks and many global adoptions BTC is surely going to rise(there will be some corrections from time to time though).

891  Economy / Economics / Re: When is the right time to buy bitcoin ? on: November 21, 2017, 01:31:27 PM
After the recent news re. BTC China and regulators crackdown on cryptocurrency trading, we all know which direction bitcoin and alt coins are currently heading. I wish to buy Bitcoin and Altcoin when they hit the floor, but i am unsure of when the right time is to enter?

You can buy anytime. Though Bitcoin is highly volatile and its price fluctuates a lot on every news which comes out and is related to it.
But I'm still very bullish on it. But please make a rule of thumb for investment in cryptocurrencies. Invest the money which you are ready to lose and don’t invest the money which you need in short time.
892  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tether Claims $30 Million in US Dollar Token Stolen By Attacker on: November 21, 2017, 09:45:45 AM
I think There's no money lost. Tether is not real money. It's an IOU of money. The actual backing fiat asset was not affected. By imposing a hard fork on the omni network, those 30mil USDT becomes effectively unusable and since Tether is not going to redeem it effectively nothing of value has been lost.

894  Economy / Economics / Re: Alt coin price manipulation is much easier than with BTC on: November 20, 2017, 06:17:20 PM
Something that became more evident this last week is that Alt coin price pumping/manipulation is MUCH easier than Bitcoin BTC. It only took Roger Ver and his shills a few days to super pump Bitcoin Cash with more than 100%. To have the same effect with BTC, you will have to get most of the BTC whales to act together and this is no easy task.

There are also more BTC exchanges to manipulate than Bitcoin Cash or Altcoin exchanges, so these Altcoin whales can concentrate their efforts for better results on only 1 or 2 exchanges where these coins are traded.

This is going to happen a lot more now since this was such a huge success for these Pumpers, so be wary.  Roll Eyes

Harsh truth but you are right. altcoins pump is fairly easy as they don't already have much volume and when they get the huge volume they pump highly and easily. In the case of bitcoin cash it was a huge pump lasting more than a day and mostly it was Korean money which was flowing in from bithumb exchange.

And as you mentioned yes it was a great success for the pumpers and this is not good at all for the crypto market. At one point it was like it will go past BTC at the pace which it was moving upward. thankfully that did not happen and we hope that does not happen in near future too.
895  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you deal with loss? on: November 20, 2017, 05:16:45 PM
So in trading how do you deal with loss? For example you've invested in an alt and now it has fallen quite hard and you're on the brink of losing all your bitcoin you invested in it.
How do you actually deal with it? Do you wait and keep on waiting in hope that it will bounce back up and return your investment or you sell and get whatever left of your investment?

Dealing with loss depends on which type of trader you are. If you are a day trader then you will probably look to take a loss of 10-20% and get out of that trade.
On the other hand, if you are more of an investor and you believe in the project of the coin you invested then you should hold and if possible buy the dips on the way (I personally do that ).

Lastly, i would say I have seen some coins going down deeply and never came back, so doing the research and sometimes taking some loss and getting out of the trade is a good thing to do.

897  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The Palm Beach Confidential For November on: November 20, 2017, 03:01:31 PM
PBC next pick is speculated by some forums to be POWER LEDGER coin but seeing the current pump in the coin I don't think they will pick POWER. some channels are pointing it to be CIVIC. let's see which one it is we will come to know about it today.
898  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Roger Ver declares Bitcoin Cash to be the “True Bitcoin” on: November 20, 2017, 02:19:02 PM
Bitcoin is a store of value for cryptocurrency, Bitcoin is like a brand like if you say someone dude cryptocurrencies are cool you should look at them that guy most likely will not be interested but if you say someone about Bitcoin that guy probably will be interested in it.

The thing here is people trust, like, love Bitcoin its the 1st cryptocurrency and I don't think the time has yet come to replace Bitcoin with some other coin due to its present scalability problems.

Bitcoin cash is good but Robert ver declaring it as a true bitcoin that is his personal opinion and of course his own greed behind it.
