1121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thread for little known altcoins with potential on: June 15, 2017, 11:18:31 PM
Many of the coins listed in top 100 to 200 have added little of value to the community and don't seem to have much potential.  Would like to list lesser known coins that might not have as much money behind them, but have a good team, and potential to do something useful.
Although that might sound true (especially now with all these new, useless alternative coins showing up), I think you would rarely find a coin with low marketcap that is worth it, or even has a development team. Heck, even in those top 100 coins, there is a lot of coins with no recent development.
1122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much do you earn per month from WAVES LPOS (Leased Proof of Stake) on: June 15, 2017, 11:13:49 PM
According to their site's calculator, you would only generate 0.00503657 Waves if you leased your coins with them for 7 days. Also, you will get 0.37 MRT (Miners Rewards). In my opinion, it doesn't worth it.
1123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Transaction Stuck on: June 15, 2017, 11:05:50 PM
Your fees are low, that's why it's stuck. The proper fees for your transaction are 0.0009BTC at the moment calculated by bitcoinfees21.com. I have accelerated it using ViaBTC, hoping it gets confirmed in the next hour or so.
1124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 20 XRP as barrier to entry? on: June 15, 2017, 11:02:20 PM
If ~5 USD or so are already keeping you from creating an account, it probably is a good thing that this is in place.

Anyways, Gatehub I think still gives you free XRP once you do KYC with them.

What is a KYC?
KYC and AML are: Know Your Customer/Client, and Anti-Money Laundering respectively. They are requirements most exchanges/companies/payment processors/etc. ask for to know your identity, and to hold you responsible for any illegal/illicit activity done on your end (like money laundry or terrorism funding).
1125  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you Find Cats annoying? (Almost killed mine) on: June 15, 2017, 10:51:28 PM
People who are blaming cats for being aggressive, come on, cats are descended from Felids, just like Lions, Tigers, Cougars, etc. They shouldn't be domesticated, they are hunters. And people who keep praising dogs for being much better, at least cats are less noisy, not like some all-day all-night barking dogs.
1126  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Wallet with lowest buying fees for europeans? on: June 15, 2017, 10:24:23 PM
There are a lot of exchanges where you can buy bitcoin with EUR:
GDAX: https://www.gdax.com/
Bitstamp: https://www.bitstamp.net/
itBit: https://www.itbit.com/
Coinsbank: https://coinsbank.com/

But none of them acts like Coinbase (online wallet), and I don't know how much they charge on BTC/EUR trading.
1127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sonm hacked on slack !!!!!!!!!!!!! on: June 15, 2017, 10:13:21 PM
That's what happens when a bunch of kids make a project, and give an ICO to collect money, forgetting securities that should be taken to protect investors' funds. It is all about money. The same shit happened to NVO Crowdsale – they had technical problems with the site due to hackers, and their Slack was full of scammers, but the difference is that NVO paused their crowdsale, they had released the addresses before, put the funds under escrows, and cleared their Slack properly (Thanks to Lauda).
1128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about SONM on: June 15, 2017, 06:46:46 PM
Too bad that it's an ICO.
I am not sure if it's an ICO or a crowdsale, nor do they even know. Here, it's an ICO, on their website, it's a Crowdsale and an ICO, it's like they don't know what they want.

I'm saying it is fucked. 1 minute into the ICO and the website is down.

 Huh Huh Huh Huh

definetly fucked for me their slack was hacked a fake wallet was posted up and i lost thousabds some fuck is away woth alot of peoples $$$
I am not so sure to take that information from a newbie. And they have already sold half of the tokens.

1129  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Withdrawal still "Awaiting Approval" in poloniex on: June 15, 2017, 06:37:13 PM
OK. This is very weird. All these Poloniex withdrawal issue threads. I have just withdrawn 0.05BTC from Poloniex two hours ago, and the transaction has been confirmed in like 15 minutes, so I really don't know what this issue is, or why people are experiencing it.
1130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: let's go there!! Time to buy all coins at cheap price. all in red. on: June 15, 2017, 06:30:46 PM
That's probably it for a year or two. Bancor was the peak imo. $150 million is nuts, although it's no longer worth that now and falling quickly. That's what happens when people are greedy...
Bancor wasn't the peak, IOTA was — $1.5 billion in matter of seconds on Bitfinex, which is utterly ridiculous. Now, it fell to $1 billion Marketcap.

the most ridiculous thing that I have just bought every coins when they were green and now I have to hold them for a long long term. Hope that they will soon increase after this big dump. Bitcoin will soon recover and so do altcoin

Props for being honest man! To many people around here just spamming "yeah, made some nice profit, sold at top and bought back at bottom", which is just not true. This mostly happens. I am sure it will go back to where you bought it and then even more.

Still good time to buy. Although i am past the time of buying, history has taught me, it is best just to hold on to the coins you have  Grin
A moment of honesty, I think I was very lucky. I sold all my altcoins just before the day all altcoins started to dip, and settled all my balances on exchanges to Bitcoin.
1131  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTB] 19.5$ Worth doge, LTC or BTC with paypal on: June 15, 2017, 04:45:11 PM
No need for an escrow for such a small amount, and you look good, so I send first.
1132  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTB] 19.5$ Worth doge, LTC or BTC with paypal on: June 15, 2017, 04:38:01 PM
I am willing to send 7,200 Doge coin. But I won't post my PayPal here.
1133  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTB] 19.5$ Worth doge, LTC or BTC with paypal on: June 15, 2017, 04:31:14 PM
I am ready to fulfill this deal. Please send your Doge address in PM.
1134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BIG price correction on Bitcoin and Ethereum, what happened? on: June 15, 2017, 04:18:48 PM
I guess there is a lot of news that could be correlated with the drop of Bitcoin and Ethereum, but I believe the most important one (not mentioned here) is the launch of IOTA. IOTA has reached $1.5 billion marketcap being in the top 10 crypto currency, and it threats all altcoins by its non-blockchain technology known as tangle. I believe that's the reason for the FUD and red markets today.

Your image is of today. What I meant by $1.5 billion was on its launch day between June 13th and 14th. All altcoins as well as Bitcoin have been dropping in price since yesterday. Everyone should be afraid from IOTA, if he/she holds Blockchain-dependable altcoins (which is pretty much all of them).
1135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin ending up like Yahoo in the future? on: June 15, 2017, 04:04:53 PM
Bitcoin will always be considered as store of value while ETH will be platform for dapps (decentralized applications).

What determines the value of Bitcoin?  I mean what justify for the high value?  I would like to see it to reach $xxx, xxx in the near future before I go to Heaven.
We would be talking about bitcoin going to 5-6 figures in USD, if it got scaled. Sigh.
What determines the value of Bitcoin is (just like everything else) demand and supply. Bitcoin is limited to 21 million coins only with a mining difficulty that is cut in half every (nearly) 4 years, and its demand is getting slowly bigger every day. Mass adoption (like Japan) is what justifies the high price.
1136  Economy / Speculation / Re: ITT: We laugh at idiot HODLers [OFFICIAL THREAD] on: June 15, 2017, 03:54:11 PM
Other than the 'hodlers' mistake, I don't think they are idiots. They are just going the safe route. They hold their funds (in cryptocurrencies) as long-term investments for the future, and forgetting about the whole thing, instead of buying and selling which require guts, have risks, and emotions. At the very least, they won't panic about every drop in price.

1138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Creditbit Gets Listed on Bittrex; Price Through the Roof on: June 14, 2017, 07:14:04 PM
We all have been there, mate. Buying some coins, selling them after a while due to stability in price, and on the very next day, it pumps. That is why I am holding my XBY, waiting for it to get listed on Poloniex or Bittrex (or a bigger pump).
1139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Name your favorite cryptocurrency on: June 14, 2017, 07:03:28 PM
Let's see. Bitcoin, Bitcoin, aaaaand Bitcoin. There is a place in my heart for one currency only, and that is Bitcoin. I don't love alternative coins, I can't stand having them nor would I ever use them (for me, they are a means to an end). Nothing but Bitcoin for me!
1140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Just one damned question on: June 14, 2017, 06:58:32 PM
Why the heck do people pay low fees for their transactions, then after waiting a long time, they come here, and start crying about it all over the place. They, then, are ready to do the impossible; they are ready to pay more than $100 to get their transaction confirmed. Simple question: why don't you just pay the damned normal fees of 0.002BTC, so you don't cry later (either about being unconfirmed or being stuck with a double spend)?!

P.S.: I know there are people who are forced to pay such low fees due to withdrawing from an exchange (or just any bitcoin service site). I also know that Blockchain.info fees estimation tool is responsible for the fees being fucked up.
