1321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin eventually kill Altcoin? on: May 02, 2017, 02:17:11 PM
This is not true, the opposite happens historically - when BTC goes up ALTS follow.
That's also not true. It depends on the alternative coin itself. Most of the altcoins were painted red on most exchanges when bitcoin price got over $1350. The relation between Bitcoin and Altcoins prices is obvious, but not quite proportional.
1322  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Short Term or Long Term on: May 02, 2017, 02:13:03 PM
Bitcoin – long-term investment/trading for sure. Alternative coins – Most of the times, short-term investment. Long-term investments in  altcoins depends on how good that altcoin really is, other than that, none of the altcoins are worth long-term investing, for me.
1323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What happen to coins that are going to delisted from Poloniex? on: May 02, 2017, 01:33:49 PM
You need to withdraw those coins. They get delisted, and the wallets are maintained for a few weeks, and after that you lose the coins. So transfer them to an exchange where you can sell them.

They will be delisted how about the coins in the exchange?

Lets say if i am out of my place for weeks.

But my wallet held 5000 of x coins which are going to delist

After coins is delisted, can i still withdraw it?
No, you can't withdraw those coins after being de-listed – that's why the exchanges give a period of time for holders to withdraw their coins. If you see any of the going-to-be-delisted coins, you will find a message warning about withdrawing them before the time set for the de-listing process.
1324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What happen to coins that are going to delisted from Poloniex? on: May 02, 2017, 01:16:57 PM
They will be de-listed (or maybe disabled for trading), their price would drop on other exchanges (in case they are listed on any other than Poloniex), and to be honest, no one would even care about them because most of them, if not all, don't have any significant role/purpose.
1325  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your best strategy to determine if the coin will be profitable? on: May 02, 2017, 12:15:46 PM
If we are talking about a presale ICO, a good coin would have the following features:
1. A good, unique project that has no similarity with other coins/projects (meaning it's not copy-paste);
2. A great team (doesn't necessarily mean they have to be very known) dedicated enough to the cause of the project, not just for money;
3. Has a relatively good attention from members on this forum;
4. Serious investors investing in the project.

If we are talking about trading coin, just check the coin's market cap, announcement thread, websites (if available), volume, and buy and sell order walls. (i.e., know the coin you are investing in.)

1326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][QAU] QUANTUM PROJECT - Connecting markets on: May 02, 2017, 11:58:38 AM
many people are coming here to post a comment for the sake of their campaign, they did criticize the project without even reading the OP and others are asking some questions that was already answered at the opening page.
That is the difference between people who are really interested in this currency and who try to perfect their work. I am a participant in the campaign, and our duty is to be here, writing about the subject of the OP. However, they are actually wrong to make unfounded comments, they need to read carefully what the OP says. It is these comments that show their lack of professionalism, and the quality of their posts is not guaranteed.
Funny. 'Professionalism,' you say eh? Your duty is not to write about the subject, it's about keeping this announcement thread alive, which, in my opinion, is a very bad idea as it brings trolls and Signature spammers to the thread, and not people who would even care.

Hey, everyone saying that they 'have read the project,' illustrate to me what Quantum project is about (consider me an ignorant who doesn't know about it). As three words being repeated, '450BTC raised in the presale ICO,' '13 days left,' and 'great and successful project' don't indicate that you have read the project; it seems you just opened the website, took a quick look at the first page, and came here to post for the "sake of the signature."
1327  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Japan is one of the leaders in the world in number of suicides. on: May 01, 2017, 09:37:29 PM
Asian parents need help to overcome their psychological (maybe even mental) issues, literally. I know an 18-year old Japanese guy who got a grade of 'A' while the whole class got 'A+,' and he stayed 4 days away from his home because he didn't know how to face his parents....

Japan is far from being the leader in suicide rate according to Wiki https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_suicide_rate

Sri Lanka has twice as many suicides (34.6/100 000 inhabitants vs 15.4).
Even among developed countries, South Korea and Belgium are ahead.

This is a 2015 list which could be older than that depending on the information/studies taken.
1328  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which Exchange (Question) on: May 01, 2017, 09:13:46 PM
I advise you to use Bittrex – it's easy to use, beginner-friendly, lots of coins to trade (it even has a market for ETH/Altcoins pairs, it's still small, though), quite good volume (not much, but still good enough), less scam/shit coins, secure withdrawals, and many other features you would find while trading.
1329  Economy / Speculation / Re: what is happening. on: May 01, 2017, 05:39:12 PM
I think a correction is coming on our way soon. Once SEC rejects ETF, we will see a little dip in price (or maybe a hard dump to like $1000-$1100). Personally I wish Bitcoin to rise normally instead of jumping day-to-day.
1330  Economy / Lending / Re: Need .032 BTC instantly on: May 01, 2017, 11:20:06 AM
The most important thing is Collateral but I think my trust is enough Collateral for this small amount
Did you say your trust ? I don't see any ? You're still on the default trust level bud, educate yourself how trust works on the forum. Now that you already have the loan funded,it is irrelevant.
Yes, trust. If you visited his trading thread, you would understand what 'trust' he is talking about. Being tagged green doesn't necessarily mean that the account is trusted. And I don't think COINMAN1 would ruin his trading/exchanging reputation for a small amount such as 0.03BTC. I have dealt with him previously, and he is a good guy.
1331  Economy / Services / Re: [$$$] LEARN HOW TO MAKE MONEY ONLINE <<Works Worldwide>> on: May 01, 2017, 12:39:59 AM
I have received the e-book from OP, and here is my review:
The package has 11 methods to make money, all of them are white hat, however, there are few methods that are immoral, for me at least. I am sure that the methods provided are going to work, as I have seen quite few people do them, but they need time (at least one hour), effort and investments (could be as small as $1-$10). Some are unique, some are known (but OP is providing all that is necessary for you to start).

I will try two of the methods (which I am particularly interested in), and post screenshots of profits, if possible.
1332  Other / Off-topic / Re: Should bitcoins be recognized around the world?? on: April 30, 2017, 09:01:20 PM
Not even a single one saying no, OK.

No, it shouldn't, at least, not yet. Bitcoin is good and all that, but it cannot be used by the mass populations because it can't scale. Yet. Hell, Bitcoin's blockchain get stuck with transactions' confirmations when there is a spam attack of only 60,000 transactions, I mean really, only 60,000?! And you want it to be used worldwide?!

Also high fees would keep people away. All these issues would be resolved once Bitcoin scales and settles. Then I would say, "Hell yeah, it should be."

1333  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you trade shitcoins? on: April 30, 2017, 08:29:28 PM
Well, to be honest, Yes, I do. Reason: Shitcoins are made to pump and dump = profit, and a lot of it. Smart traders would find a lot of short-term highly profits out of them, seeking the right coin at the right time. I know this is way, way harder said than done – giving that there are 20:1 shitcoins to good coins rate on YoBit.

Shitcoins are totally worth it – they could pump up to 3000%, which is a ridiculous number (that you will only see on YoBit), but should expect losses as well. You don't have to invest in shitcoins, if you are afraid of the risk, instead, you can jump on board. If you can catch the pumping process at its beginning, you could make hell of a nice profit out of a shitcoin. But it requires timing, foresight, and greed-control.

Shitcoins that are based on politics are the easiest to be manipulated by news (which according to, coins would dump and pump). It surely looks like gambling when choosing one coin over the other, especially presidential coins like TRUMP, MCRN, LEPEN, but at the end it's worth investing.

Trading volume is dependent on how strong I feel about that coin. If it's good enough to make a profit, I would invest around 0.01-0.05BTC in it, if it's going to pump but not good enough, I would invest around 0.001-.005BTC only. Of course, this is also dependent on how many bitcoins you have as a capital.
1334  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Anyone else recently had their account suspended on BTC-E? on: April 30, 2017, 07:58:10 PM
When did you make that deposit, OP? BTC-E has been having deposit issues recently, and you should have checked before sending/depositing your bitcoins. I know this is hard said than done, but checking before doing anything in the cryptocurrency world is a must.

Also, accounts being blocked for no reason is somehow a popular issue on bitcoin exchanges.
1335  Economy / Speculation / Re: Prediction - $1500 in 30 days - What do you think? on: April 30, 2017, 07:24:38 PM
There are news about how bitcoin broke the all-time-high price passing $1300, and news that the price is going to dump/dip after ETF being rejected, and still OP predicts that the price will reach $1500. What kind of news do you have, OP, that we aren't aware of to make such proclamation?
1336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why does the mainstream media ignore altcoins? on: April 30, 2017, 07:19:25 PM

Searching Fox News for the terms "Lisk", "Ardor", "Stratis", or "Monero" reveals nothing. Even "DASH" yields no results.

You really expect those to be even mentioned in mainstream media?  They are just shit coins.

BTC and LTC are the only ones that will make main stream.
And why did you pick LTC among all the others? What kind of advantages/features does Litecoin have to surpass Monero or Dash?
Please don't tell me Litecoin is the oldest/first altcoin to come to existence – that doesn't prove why it should be mentioned.
1337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you know of any "Popular Online Stores Accepting Bitcoin?" on: April 29, 2017, 06:14:33 PM
I know of three places (online stores, I mean) which accept Bitcoin: Steam, Microsoft, and Dell. I have bought a lot of games from Steam using Bitcoin, Also bought Windows 10 license from Microsoft with Bitcoins (Microsoft has a big share in blockchain as well), but Dell has terminated Bitcoin payment method for some reasons I don't know of.
1338  Economy / Economics / Re: what would if you were to destroy every bitcoin mining operation in the world? on: April 29, 2017, 06:04:33 PM
So you want to destroy Bitcoin mining operation for what reason exactly? Destroying mining will stop the circulation of new coins being mined, it will stop the transactions being processed because when mining pools are destroyed, no one will accept the transactions made, rendering bitcoin usage to become useless as no transactions = no payment processes = no Bitcoin. Mining is essential for bitcoin, without it, Bitcoin will be nothing.
1339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Selling TBC to Your BTC on: April 29, 2017, 04:59:29 PM
There are quite a lot of these shitty coins rising on the surface every now and then. Developers of such coins clearly don't understand anything in crypto currencies, promising idiots of being billionaires, sure...

TBC is the same shit. OP, you better forget about that shit, and move on. Developers won't even buy it from investors – they just want money. TBC has a market cap of $0.001208 For Fuck's Sake...
1340  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BOUNTY] Name for new Exchange. on: April 29, 2017, 04:44:07 PM
Is your exchange going to be for Bitcoin only or for other cryptocurrencies as well? Anyway, wish you luck with your project.
