4101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: OKCASH making a huge come back now! on: October 18, 2017, 07:53:37 AM
OKCash is really coming back.
Current price: 0.00003652 BTC (10.77%)
So what do you think about this coins future? Hold or sell?

This will still move higher in the charts. Continue to hold. OKCASH is one highly dependable project. I can still remember during the previous month when everything turns red. Blood was all over the altcoins list but then I saw OKCASH making large strides upward. That was the first time this coin got my attention.
4102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Stellar Lumens a good investment for long term? on: October 17, 2017, 07:24:55 AM
Obviously it's jumped 100%+ today because of the IBM partnership announcement.

I'm considering moving out of Litecoin and into Stellar.  Do you guys think there's a chance it'll head much higher this year?  Or should I just HODL my litecoin?  I'm so torn.

If I were you I would shift my investments to Stellar. This IBM partnership announcement is of course just the beginning. The deal has just been sealed. That is simply an assurance that there is something big to happen in the future. Is there anything like this with respect to Litecoin? I think there is none.
4103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Your list of interesting coins. on: October 17, 2017, 06:38:07 AM
I will still promote the same coin I have been following for a while. I will hold Bitcoin of course. The altcoins will be made up of Ethereum, Monaco, Ethereum Classic, Stratis, and Ripple. I will also include Waves, Verge, and Digibyte. Watch out specifically for Ripple because it has tied up with Microsoft.
4104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think ??? on: October 16, 2017, 04:11:59 AM
What do you think about the possibility to buy tokens directly via one marketplace ?

How is that different from bittrex or polo? You can buy almost all tokens in these places.

But you cannot buy tokens from these sites using fiat. These are exchange platforms. You will have some token to start with before having the ability to have some other coins. Most of the time, it's either you already have some Bitcoin or Ethereum. And then you can convert them to another coin from there.
4105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid ICO scam on: October 16, 2017, 03:12:27 AM
I mean, is there an exact list of rules that could guarantee that someone who follows them will surely not become a victim of another ICO scam. Of course there are obvious rules like event participation, reputation of team members among ather prifessionals, approve by well-known advisors. But potential scammers also know all these criteria and know what to fake exactly.

Is there a 'blockchain way' to create an algorithm, scheme or set of conditions allowing to recognise and ban scammers? Not government laws way which also good for the market in my opinion.

Would be appreciate a link to an old thread, perhaps I just didn't find it.

UPD Best Advices:
  • learn about previous ICO projects, select viable ones and participate similar ICOs

If you want an app or an invention that would simply answers yes or no, or scam or legit, when you input a specific ICO, the answer is none. There are sites though that present their own assessments of ongoing and future ICOs. There are also sites that publish their rankings of top ICOs.
4106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin. 2017 will be $ 1 in December. on: October 14, 2017, 01:35:15 PM
The supply of Doge is very big. Can you imagine what will happen if every Doge will reach $1? That is very unlikely. The volume will suddenly jump too big with that speculation, which is simply impossible to happen. Doge is not performing very good in terms of value appreciation.
4107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] EventChain -ICO LIVE- Stopping excessive ticketing fees on: October 14, 2017, 11:38:56 AM
wooow!!!Somebody just bought for 90eth.
We have just 0.45% 8eth to finnish the ICO!!!!

GO GO HUUUGGEE EVENTCHAIN

congratulations!!!! Cheesy
congratulations evc.....we are waiting for your new ann

Congratulations to all! We will continue until October 31 to coordinate the work with the opening of exchanges. We reached a soft cap of 2000 ETH and rose above 2100 + ETH including presale! The project will continue, and we are close to listing in the core cryptocurrency exchanges! We have completed a partnership with EtherDelta as an exchange and will be listed in early November. We are working on other exchanges and do not want to go to crap exchanges to destroy liquidity. Our team is working hard on this, and thanks to everyone contributing as a community we will make this project a success.

It is not the ICO that will determine the future of the project. It does not have any basis. What determines success is the hardwork and perseverance of the team. I know that EventChain is determined enough to make the project successful despite the ICO outcome. Rest assured that the support behind EventChain remains solid.
4108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] EventChain -ICO LIVE- Stopping excessive ticketing fees on: October 13, 2017, 12:55:58 AM
I don't know why these GUTS guys are barking and barking here. Why don't you just promote your project properly elsewhere and not try to bring down some good project similar to yours? GUTS is also good so try to keep up with the image of your promoted project. The bad thing here is that you all think you can go higher by pulling others down. EventChain came here much earlier than you.
4109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin price worth $5000 on: October 12, 2017, 11:57:47 PM
Will Bitcoin Price worth $5000, What’s To Come for Altcoins???

Most of the altcoins right now are really bleeding. This is the direct effect of Bitcoin very bullish. Finally, bitcoin successfully broke the $5000 resistance. But on the other hand, the altcoins are receiving the negative effect. My portfolio has red all over it but my entire portfolio's value is increasing because of Bitcoin's aggressive increase in price.
4110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: sell or no?? on: October 12, 2017, 01:18:33 AM
if the coin you buy suddenly goes down, what do you do?
panic sell or hold ??

This is basically a no-brainer question that everyone in the world of crypto knows. You do not act with panic in whatever situation, whether it is related to crypto or in some other instances of life. In crypto, when the price suddenly goes down, the emotions run very high even competing the works of the brain. It is then the time to suppress it and use reason instead of emotion.
4111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is altcoin airdrop ? on: October 11, 2017, 11:46:46 PM
Hey guys what is it altcoin airdrop? I tried to google it but didnt find anything fulfilling

Do not search for "altcoin airdrop" through Google. If you also type in the word airdrop alone, what comes out is the airdrop that is relation to Apple Mac. So I advice you to input Cryptocurrency Airdrop or simply crypto airdrop. I guess that would be good enough for Google to show you the exact pages.
4112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY][ICO] EventChain ICO Sept 13 BOUNTY THREAD - BONUS WEEK on: October 11, 2017, 05:28:23 AM
Hi CM. I am now a Sr. Member. I am now updating my signature also. Please update the spreadsheet.

Thank you.
4113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 3 kinds of ICOs — Protect yourself on: October 11, 2017, 03:59:15 AM
Thanks for this, Jilp! This is educating the people here in terms of how to classify the so many ICOs that are offering their sets of tokens right now with a price. However, the knowledge to be able to determine which ICO is a scam, just a crap, or legitimate still needs to be learned by the great majority of us here.
4114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you monitor your crypto portfolio? on: October 11, 2017, 12:04:01 AM
I haven't managed to find a crypto portfolio tracker that works better than a spreadsheet I have. I'm curious what other folks use—would love to hear any tips about what is or isn't working for folks.

In the meantime, I'm going to try and make some improvements to my spreadsheet tool at www.cointracker.network for anyone to try (feedback welcome).

My portfolio is manually monitored. Although I am using blockfolio app in my mobile device, I am not relying on it much. I do monitor their threads here, very seldom though. I am following most of the time their twitter account so that updates will be fast. I also go to their website. It is not a hassle since I am owning less than 10 coins.
4115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it right time to Buy Alts? on: October 10, 2017, 02:16:08 AM
Buy low. That is the foremost advice from the old-timers here. I am adopting it as much as I can. I also feel afraid and full of emotions at times but I am trying to be more rational when it comes to investment because a good deal of money is involved. I am fearful when a coin I trust is getting lower and lower in value. But buying it is the wisest decision.
4116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to partecipate an airdrop? on: October 10, 2017, 01:36:30 AM
Im a newbie
I see lot of airdrop here, and I want to partecipate, but I don't understand how to do it.

I have to send my eth adresse, but how can I have the "airdropped Crypto"?

Thanks

It actually depends on the specific project conducting an airdrop. I know you noticed deeponion signature. That is an airdrop but it requires wearing signature and doing posting. Other airdrops will only require you to send your ETH address to them. Others require you to create an account to their site. There are so many specific instructions how to join airdrops. Just look at their instructions carefully.
4117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NEO at $40 within 8th October ███ FEW HOURS LEFT ███ on: October 09, 2017, 01:01:55 AM
Yes I'm calling it!
NEO at $40 within 8th October mostly because of Red Pulse ICO.

You are either wrong or incorrect with your speculation for NEO. You must know that Red Pulse ICO is not a means for NEO to get to fly high. It is not the way I guess. Otherwise, token-generating projects will be soaring every time there is an ICO based on their project. You are almost $10 short because NEO is only a little more than $30 right now.
4118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for insteresting altcoins to invest in- short/medium - ~$10,000-15,000. on: October 09, 2017, 12:34:45 AM
Topic. I'm pretty busy recently so I don't have time to read 100000 of ANN's topic with 90%of scam coins. Any suggestions to take a look at, guys?

Are you referring to altcoins that are already on the exchanges? Or are you referring to altcoins that are offered through ICOs? If you are referring to coins that are already existing on the exchanges then perhaps you will consider TFL tokens because another round of lottery is scheduled soon. About ongoing altcoins offered in ICO, try to check EVT tokens. Almost sold out. The ICO will be until the 14th of this month.
4119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to earn free coins?? on: October 08, 2017, 03:08:57 PM
Hi,

I want to know where can I earn free coins, for promoting that specific coin. For eg one ICO I saw said that they will pay 15 tokens for every unique visit on their link. Something like bounties.
Anyone know such coins that give free coins for helping them promote?

Also how does signatures work here? I heard we can get tokens for wearing sigs and profile pictures too.

Thanks guys

Try to explore in the forum more. I guess you have not yet found it since you are not yet wearing a signature and you are already a member. Here is the link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=238.0. You can find here all the existing projects that offer bounties, mostly signature campaigns and social media campaigns. There are also some others such as translation, blog, and video campaigns.
4120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Leasing coins on for example waves on: October 08, 2017, 02:01:05 PM
If you're already holding Waves then it's a no brainer to lease them out.  It's ZERO risk as the coin never leaves your wallet, and you can cancel the lease at any time if you need them.  The return is minimal, so I wouldn't purchase Waves purely to lease them.  I lease my Waves because I'm a long term holder, so while I wait for the price to climb I lease them to earn a small risk-free return.

There are many sites to lease to, and this may not be the best but I'm leasing the BearWaves: http://www.bearwaves.nl/

Is leasing totally risk-free? I have encountered lending several times before but I have not tried or even understand the complete terms and conditions about leasing. Might check it out one of these days. Or do they have any similarities at all? I am also hodling waves but not all of them are in my waveswallet.io.
