3502  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Holds Above $9k on: November 12, 2019, 12:35:50 PM
The world’s most profitable company, today announced that it is going public, in what could be the biggest ever IPO. The oil giant, Saudi Aramco, posted an H1 profit of $46.9bn in 2019, compared to Apple’s $21.6bn in the same period. But one imagines that return on investment will still pale into insignificance compared to Bitcoin.

https://bitcoinist.com/sunday-digest-bitcoin-price-holds-usd-9k-other-headlines/

So Saudi Aramco posted a huge profit despite an attack on its oil installations from Iran? This leads mo to believe as what Iran said a fake attack on Saudi and put the blame on Iran in order to spark an oil price increase.

If Saudi Aramco considers an IPO, it will be worth hundreds of billions or even in trillion in dollars. It will be hard to push that value. While Bitcoin only has a marketcap of $166 billion. With that simple figures alone, it is easy to identify which one have the best potential to profit.

the attack was more like a political thing rather than a real attack and it was from Syrian or maybe even from US trying to increase the tension in the region. in any case the only reason why this company is releasing this unrealistic profit is because they are trying to keep their damage to a minimum by trying to show the investors they are "OK" even after the losses they sustained. and also to try and prevent the IPO from failing and make some money from it.
I don't believe that Aramco is losing. And a small increase in oil price is already worth a lot that can cover all its losses and damages (if true). I also think that their IPO will become a big success. The Saud family is making sure its powerful western allies can help them with it. In return, Saudi will guarantees them with billions of contracts from purchases and services. This IPO is fitted to rich people and companies only. Ordinary people cannot gain big on this compared to the potential of bitcoin.

3507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: November 12, 2019, 05:16:20 AM
What a big lost by Dortmund.Sad Now Bayern is catching up in the rankings. I never thought Dortmund to lost that bad. They should have more confidence leading into that match after beating Inter Milan. And Bayern is under pressure after that shameful lost to Eintracht. So I guess the players are feeling better with Kovac gone. Lewandowski is a beast, never fails to impress as always.

Well, the players absolutely look like they´ve played against Kovac (in the end), it was a totally different mentality this last week.

Anyway, the league-history for Dortmund in Allianz-Arena is remarkable:

09.11.2019 Bayern - Dortmund 4:0
06.04.2019 Bayern - Dortmund 5:0
31.03.2018 Bayern - Dortmund 6:0
08.04.2017 Bayern - Dortmund 4:1
04.10.2015 Bayern - Dortmund 5:1

Let´s keep this in mind for next season Wink

I think that this game is the best one to bet for Over 3.5 goals in the game.
Especially, when Levandowski is on the squad.

Interesting. I'll take note on this. So it seems Dortmund is cursed in Allianz Arena ever since Lewandowski left them and joined Bayern. Lewandowski will turn 32 (still young) next season. So I guess that streak will continue that if he remains in Bayern. Rumors of Bayern already scouting for a younger star like Timo as possible replacement. If Bayern takes the title again then it will be harder to let go of Lewandowski.

3509  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to start trading with 2 BTC? What is the first step? on: November 11, 2019, 05:55:39 PM
The first step is to arm yourself with basic trading. Any basic trading books will do. You can even study all basic trading thru the internet for free. There are too many videos available in youtube. Reading materials are also ample online.

I find it boring when studying on videos and reading materials so it is also good that at the same time you already have an account in any reliable exchanges like Binance. Deposit a small amount like $10 to make it more exciting. You base your gains thru percentage.

Earning regularly in trading is never an easy task. It takes experience to mold a strategy that fits to you. Some people learned fast because they spent more time daily with some sleepless nights.

So after my support level was broken. I'll go YOLO!

2. San Antonio Spurs
3. Boston Celtics
4. Houston Rockets
5. Toronto Raptors
6. Golden State Warriors

3511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: 3000+ Cryptocurrency on Coinmarketcap on: November 11, 2019, 09:16:18 AM
I think we have over 3,000 crypto currencies but many of them are not listed in Coinmarketcap as they cannot pass the standard the coin tracker is asking. Having many altcoins has its positive and negative side. Many altcoins being launched means that the industry is highly in demand and on trend. The negative side is there are coins that not necessarily important. We don't need to have many coins because we are not supposed to pay different kind of coins in every merchandise.

Day 8 Ranking

Another tough day for most participants although none was eliminated. Cabalism13 is still at rank 1 and is starting to create a decent lead over rank number 2 players. EastSound at rank 2 is now joined by Sadlife and yazher. The race at the top is getting more exciting, the same situation at the bottom where many are holding to avoid elimination.

Eliminated participants:
1. Sanitough(6) - eliminated in day 5
2. able1337(5) - eliminated in day 5
3. mirakal(6) - eliminated in day 7
4. TGD(5) - eliminated in day 7

3514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Saving for a House! on: November 11, 2019, 04:32:28 AM
We are saving for a house down payment of 40K.  I don't want to leave it in the bank as there is a old judgement they can take any time so i want to store it in crypto as we grow it over the next 6 months.  Is a stable coin the best option?  Thoughts?

I don't think this is a good idea. Stay away from risky investments when it comes to money allocated to anything of importance. The safest thing you can do is investing it on secured bonds, deposits and other sort of investments. These investments won't generate big income but it is safe and secured.

I also fucked up when in 2018 I poured thousands of dollars in crypto believing I could earn profit so I can buy a more expensive property. The money in the end cannot even afford the cheapest property on my list of choices.
3515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have You Counted Or Estimate All Your Losses And.... on: November 10, 2019, 05:19:14 PM
There was a time when I started to record all my daily gambling results. I stopped when I made a break after I lost all my previous winnings, including my capital. After few weeks I started gambling again in another casino. I also tried hopping from casino to casino. If I have to think back my total losses and winnings, I think I still have a positive but small net income.

What is important in gambling is to bet an amount you can afford to lose and enjoy.

My day 8 picks.
1. Denver Nuggets
2. Cleveland Cavaliers
3. Atlanta Hawks

According to TA, 0 is my support level and it looks strong. Now that I have 3 picks, my score should either move up or it break the support level. I guess it is time for me to bounce back. This time it will be slowly but surely, to make it looked organic. Cheesy

3518  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Have you not relented in viewing your account wallet? on: November 10, 2019, 06:16:06 AM
During 2017, I think in every hour I am checking my bitcoin and altcoins except when I am sleeping or very busy. I am always excited seeing the updates of my precious coins. It changed a lot during 2018. I started to stay away from my wallets to avoid stress and depression. Later on, I started to slowly sell it little by little. Now I only have few altcoins and lesser bitcoins than 2017. 2017 and 2018 were a big learning experience for all of us. There is no problem holding them long term but we should exclude money that are to be used short term.

Interesting to see that there are many players already in this casino. It's a good feeling playing dice again. I see Roobet supporting the KSI vs Logan fight on twitter. How about creating a weekly betting or maybe monthly event specials? For the KSI vs Logan, interested players can bet with their money, and the winners will be sharing the losing bets pool.
