I'm not a litecoin hater, I respect all coins the same. However right now there is in my opinion only one reason why litecoin is going up - that is because coinbase has accepted litecoin recently and there is a hype. Soon, the hype will die off, litecoin will either stabilise at a lower rate or crash. If you are a litecoin bagholder, then i respect your decision. But personally I would never do that. Coinbase is not the only reason. There are a lot of good things going on with LiteCoin, like segwit, the ln network and more. Please read up before you make such a blind comment. thank-you. |

So do I, but I don’t know for sure that LiteCoin will be pumped like everyone is saying. However if SegWit and Coinbase do get added then I do see us getting a reasonable pump. Lets hope for the best, because I’ve got a few coins and I’m betting on a decent pump. Yes, me too, and I think that Charlie Lee is wanting to do some things with it, to keep the currency going. He seems like a smart guy. |

as an investor, people should have bought it when it was low. in other words you always buy when everyone is silent about the coin. and if you missed the chance to buy then you should buy as fast as possible then if you missed it again you have to stay away and watch the price go up to $50 and start regretting why did you listen to some FUD and didn't buy.
I bouught at $6.60, wish I would have bought when it was $4.00. I know a lot of people sold off a few days ago, because the signalling was going down, but things have changed in the last few days. I actually, held my breath and held. I am glad I did. Well, I know this coin has been around for a long time and I've never look so deep into its market in the past. What I realized was the price recently at this month, seems fluctuate a bit. I remember it may around $3-$4 within January-March and start to climb up during this month. People may regret didn't buy it last month when it was $4, as litecoin seems promising after Segwit activated I guess. But, maybe it isn't too late for purchase some coins. In my opinion, it's still not too late. I think it will continue to rise in the next month. |

Don't get carried away by over evaluating Litecoin's growth prospect. Litecoin was always fast, had low fees and there is no need for any form of scaling upgrade.
Adding SegWit is not mandatory, it is additional feature not necessary upgrade needed for Litecoin to evolve. Let say it now: Bitcoin needs SegWit. Litecoin would be fine without it.
This. There was never an issue so this whole segwit situation is really irrelevant. I mean sure it shows the devs are staying in front of the issues (unlike bitcoins) but it's not fundamentally going to change anything like fees or wait times. It's all hyped and speculation and in the end the bubble will pop because really there's no real benefit to anyone. Segwit offers more than larger blocks, it offers new technologies, that can be incorporated into the coin. So it's not about higher fees, faster transactions at all, at least not with LTC. Read up on what SegWit will bring to Litecoin and you will see what I am talking about. |

There is this thing that people call "FOMO" that's it, Fear Of Missing Out, I'd love to see people profiting in a healthy community without scamming, pump & dump and manipulation to take away from poor and add to the wealth of the already rich but I think the only winners in this scenario are the ones mined LTC years back and now have hundreds of thousands even millions of LTCs.
I believe us the average fucks(Joe)lol if buy in on any crypto we're already buying the hype filling the pockets of riches to make them even richer, for EG, ETH was under $7 but all of a sudden skyrocketed way above $40.
i think there are some staggeringly deep ltc bags out there who'll be primed to offload. considering how willing the market is pump stuff that is obvious junk, there are certainly legs to go much higher, but ultimately it would be an empty pump that would fall back down short term. long term it's a great buy. i won't be getting caught up in the current hype. I don't believe ltc is "obvious junk". It has a lot of good things going on, and if BTC doesn't get their shit together, who knows what could happen, so we shall see. |

Chikun will do as DASH has done. It happens when nobody believes it's possible. Note that there are 4x as many LTC as BTC....a ratio of 0.25. Therefore 0.1 BTC per LTC is not out of the question....if BTC hardforks more than 0.1 is possible IMHO  I would be happy with LTC at $120.00, however, it could go much higher, if those in charge play their cards right. We shall see. |

I am so happy for you that you are able to amass such amount of LTC and you can now brag about it. But all the same that will not make those who are not interested in it now change their mind because personally, I am yet to see the basis for the appreciation of it price to warrant some one like me to consider even investing in it. Just be smart about it my simplest opinion to you. I have been watching the news on ltc closely for the last few days, and I like what has occurred, I have owned my LTC for a while, now, way prior to any of the news. I believe there will be money to be made. |

LTC will never be traders's major coin like BTC is at the moment. As a matter of fact, no coin will replace BTC. Bitcoin had at least 15M$ of daily volume after the Gox. And it is 200-500M$/24h lately. It is the main beast. On the other hand, Litecoin had tiny 2-4M$/24h volume for the most of its lifespan till now and suddenly people found the meaning of life with LTC and drove it to 150m$/24h volume. When the hype is over, it will go back where it was before. If you haven't bought when it was 4$, don't buy now because you may be the last one whos buying before everyone starts selling. I own plenty of BTC, I am a believer. |

The real reason for segwit for litecoin is the new features it will bring, not because of block size. That is why everyone is excited, well, at least us who are invested and paying attention. |

I do not understand why you are so excited about Litecoin, only a 10% increase today. Such things happen daily, nothing to get high about. And shouldn't this topic belong to the altcoin section ?
