gmax one month ago realised his 'going soft' approach was not as compatible with the network as he thought. but instead of re-coding segwit to fit around the network he wants his flock to point fingers at the pools and blame them for why segwit will have issues being accepted.
funny part is, gmax and his flock actually proposed to 'go soft' purely to avoid users consensus. as a way to escape anyone sayin no.. but now gmax has found the code for going soft is his own downfall
if only gmax actually done a proper 1merkle full node+pool consensus and using that oppertunity to include dynamics aswell.. alot of time, delay and debate could have been avoided

There is plenty of proof, including jhan wu's patent on a technology similar to AsicBoost, that accomplishes the same thing, that he is using covertly, and as a result, causing damage to the Bitcoin Network. There is a reason why good miners don't want AsicBoost, or anything like it.

Myself, on the other hand, want a bitcoin network that will send payments instantly, so that businesses can embrace Bitcoin, and the userbase can grow, hence, bitcoin as an asset.

The best thing that can happen is for miners to start pulling out of the antpool and going elsewhere. Also, I highly recommend you pull all your assets out of Hashnest which is a scam anyhow. I think the biggest issue isn't that he used AsicBoost in order to gain an unfair advantage against other miners as this is something that any business owner would do in order to further the amount of revenue and then profit at the end of the day. I think the completely horrid part about all of this is that he isn't showing his support for Segwit on the simple stance that he cares more about his bottom lines and his profits then he'd be caring about Bitcoin as a whole. As we know in order to survive and thrive, we're going to need Segwit to help us. Jihan, support Segwit or you're head is going to be delivered on a silver platter!  ^THIS! The point is, that Jihan Wu is opposing segwit, to be able to continue to line his pockets, instead of doing what is best for bitcoin as a whole. Looks like it is not going to make Segwit  Why do you say that??? It's currently at 82% Because YOU do not understand the activation process. There must be 75% of an activation period of 8064 blocks. We are in period 5. There is no way it will activate in period 5 because there are not enough blocks left to achieve the required 75% activation. Period 6 is where it CAN happen, if things stay the way they are. Do you think that is going to happen? Depends, I heard somewhere that Jihan Wu is purposefully signaling SegWit and will pull the signal at the last minute, in order to create a pump and dump. I am not sure if it will happen or not. I would like for it to happen. |

I know I do. It looks like it is now confirmed that he has been covertly using AsicBoost and not passing on the profits to the miners. If Segwit goes through, it could bankrupt him, and render his mining equipment useless. He has a similar plan for LiteCoin since he controls a high percentage of the mining for LTC.
What do you guys think of Jihan Wu?

BEWARE: FOUND WHAT'S BELOW ON ANOTHER BLOG.
currently Jihan Wu, or Jihad Wu as I like to call him, through his mines controls 27% percent of the hash power of Litecoin. He is currently voting for segwit, then when it gets close to all time high support, he is changing his signal, to pump and dump the price. He is also at the same time accused of secretly using ASICBOOST to cheat us all in the bitcoin sphere. He will fight to the end against segwit as it blocks his abilty to cheat us, and it renders alot of his hardware useless, which could bankrupt him.
Unless we can get 3% of the miners in pools for Lite coin to switch from pools in the control of Satan, and then hol for two weeks (bear in mind Jihad makes the machines and may have more standing by) the only possible way to get segwit is to use UASF, which is highly risky and never attempted.

So BU is on 34.7% and SegWit on 30% in this moment,but this it's not over yet in my opinion.Instead they together made something good for Bitcoin they behave like little children.I say let them just play,they did some damage fearing people with hard fork but as we can see BTC price is pretty stable and very close to 1200$. Hopefully a good solution will come regarding block size increase and some other countries may follow example of Japan which is recognized Bitcoin as currency Yes, few weeks ago. It appears that Russia may follow in Japan's footsteps. That's a great sign. |
