yes you are right bitcoin will easily reach $3000 USD in this year  after one or two  months because it has attracted many people and the number of their users are also increased daily and I hope at the end of this year the price of bitcoin will be going to 3500$ or 4000$ in case of investors are increased day by day.

For me I think $5000 is not possible to cross at the end of the year  because the bitcoin price will never be  high soon I think at the end of this year bitcoin cross $3500 ,and 5000$ bitcoin wil hit at the end of the year 2018 because many countries will accept bitcoin it in own state .

yes you are right that cash is better than bitcoin because we can use cash in everywhere and can buy every things in every time suppose you can go in store and buying some things cash or ATM cards is put in your pocket just go shopping and pay cash hand by hand as compare to btc . in case of bitcoin first you will need to convert bitcoin into cash which will take very much time and after that you can use it for shopping.
