1281  Economy / Economics / Re: What was your lowest point financially? How did you go through it ? on: January 11, 2023, 12:45:09 PM
My lowest point was back to study overseas in XXX country decades ago. At the time, my moeny was robbed and the school kicked me of dormitory due to the overdue fees. I was reluctant to ask money from my parents and I was collecting garbage food for nearly two months to survive.
Everyone has a bitter story about the life they live in, the money we earn is no longer balanced between income and expenses, while the necessities of life are increasing, the price of goods is rising and inflation continues to affect the economy. This incident affected almost all regions and the financial sector played a significant role. Jobs are becoming harder to find and layoff rates are higher across the region, not to mention that fiat currency continues to lose value in the ongoing recession.

The solution we can do is by changing lifestyles, spending what is needed and rebuilding small businesses according to the skills we have and most importantly focus on developing the business we are running.

I have also helped some of the people you sent, although not many and hopefully others will take the same opportunity.

Edit: Done! Except for Phoenix Anka, he only posted at the local board with a language I don't understand.
I am not a source of merit and do not have abundant merit, so I can only provide some of the advantages that I have, and hope that there will be other people who are willing to help according to their abilities.

Thank you very much for keeping the Merit system running as it should, because hoarding sMerit will benefit no one.

1283  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is hodling top 10 Marketcap coins a good tactic? on: January 11, 2023, 09:24:19 AM
Well, of the top highest marketcap coins btc, eth, usdt, bnb, usdc, xrp, busd, ada, doge, and matic, I can say I am a holder of 7 of them. The only ones I do not have are usdc, busd, and matic.
The tendency of people to choose gems
in an investment is very limited to the few that are available, because representatives of some others cannot survive under certain conditions, even if they are in the top 10 of coinmarketcap. I prefer bitcoin as a long-term storage asset, as it has proven to be able to retain investment value, whereas Ethereum and BNB are only used under certain conditions to make a profit.

Quote
So yes I think it is a good tactic to have as many top 10 of them as you can. I think most people will invest in those coins with highest marketcap since other people have invested more then 710 billion dollars in them already!
Everyone has their own pattern in choosing coins with large market capitalization, the goal is to get the maximum return when investment power is at the planned stage, the selection of certain coins can also vary and according to individual beliefs and tastes, but already it's becoming a habit for people to take references based on coinmarketcap's top 10 and I think that's a good tactic to use, as long as we've done a small analysis of the coins we want to invest in.

Bitcoin is one of the best coins ever, so investing 70% in bitcoin is the best way to maximize it, while the other 30% can be chosen according to individual tastes with various considerations of previous analysis.
1284  Economy / Economics / Re: Americans are once again quitting their jobs at a growing rate on: January 11, 2023, 08:10:37 AM
>Snip
That seems like the complete opposite of the logical thing to do, because even the shittiest-paying job is better than whatever you could get from government assistance programs.  That said, I don't have a clue why people are quitting their jobs or what the real state of the economy is.  Usually when there's an economic downturn, unemployment is high and people hold onto their jobs for dear life.
Stop working and accept PMTH assistance programs, Both look stupid and very unreasonable, I'm starting to realize why PMTH provides assistance programs for its people?

  • To be seen they care
  • Make the people dependence
  • Security when they are in power.

What they do actually makes people more lazy and stupid, when people expect PMTH to be present to provide free and instant employment and remain comfortable with existing assistance programs, then therein lies a country's setback in preparing existing human resources.

>Snip
What?  None of that makes any sense, especially that crap I bolded.  Sure, some people quit jobs without having anything else lined up, but that's a stupid move and not one most people make.  It'd be nice if the data released broke down the types of positions being quit.  McDonald's never seems to have a shortage of employees, by the way.  That's a transient job for most, so I doubt that's what this news is all about.
And did you know "That those who work in parliament look like joking, but the salary is quite serious"

In our area many factory and small compans with home industry scale, they have never lacked workers like mcdonald's that you mention, there is no other choice but to survive in existing work. Because when employees chosen to go out, the number of unemployment available, much smaller the number of compans that are going to accept new employees, then each choice is in each individual.
1285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Create wealth first before the use of bitcoin on: January 11, 2023, 06:54:53 AM
You are really true about this, usually when people hear about crypto is between this a great opportunity and can make a lot money of it, or scammer place.
Knowledge is required before one starts entering the market and it is true what is said “that bitcoin is a way of making money” but it is not crypto which is still common. I honestly haven't heard of anyone losing money investing in bitcoin, but those who do understand the concept of the bitcoin journey, except for those who don't know bitcoin and then invest at the wrong time and cut their losses when the market corrects

Sometimes panic only makes things worse, when they can still wait for recovery before cutting losses in the event of a correction. If invested properly, I believe that bitcoin will never make people lose.

Some media usually talk about negative side even we are still learning this till day right.
The function of the media is to make news and broadcasts, even they adjust the need for something that is being discussed, negative personalities are the editorial part they are trying to influence, there are still many media that speak positively about the journey of bitcoin, they are not contaminated with the government and adjust the needs.

And never worry, people will realize the best side that has been produced by bitcoin. That awareness will grow, when many people start to see the important aspects of investing in bitcoin that are able to maintain investment value in the long term.
1286  Local / Trading dan Spekulasi / Re: [Untuk Newbie] Alasan Untuk Tidak Trading Uang Pinjam on: January 10, 2023, 10:35:48 AM

1287  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bottom of the Bear Market...let's accumulate!! on: January 10, 2023, 09:26:01 AM
Alright folks, unless there is another major crypto company/protocol collapse, the bottom is almost certainly in and there is a good chance Bitcoin will start rising out of this bottom range in a few months.

So now is the time to accumulate if you haven't started yet!
There are concerns that inflation and recession will affect the course of the world economy, giving rise to several assumptions from observers that this will affect bitcoin, but if you look at Covid-19 and the economic impact in 2019 to 2021, bitcoin is not completely affected by that situation and even in 2021 bitcoin hit the highest ATH. We think now is the right move to collect bitcoin, before resistance sets in this year, so that we can take advantage of maximum return opportunities.

Therefore, it seems that this year bitcoin will experience a gradual recovery, although it is not certain in which month. If following the four-year scheme, it should be this year that bitcoin starts showing a gradual recovery before hitting the next ATH.

even though arsenal has a great chance of winning, from the H2H of the two teams that I heard, Arsenal has only won 1 and 4 ended in a draw. arteta cannot ignore this match because even a small mistake can make Oxford UTD beat them (see what happened to Aston Villa, they lost to the lower caste team).
Arsenal finally managed to record satisfying results in that match, away to Oxford United headquarters, Arsenal had difficulty developing the game in the first 15 minutes, because the Oxford United players performed well. However, entering the 20th minute, Arsenal began to find a rhythm in the game and began to put pressure on Oxford United, despite having trouble scoring in the first half.

Edward Nketiah and Fabio Vieira became field stars who appeared impressive, while successfully scoring two goals and two assists. Thanks to the 3-0 victory, Arsenal managed to qualify for the fourth round and will then face Manchester City who was the first to confirm the ticket.
1290  Economy / Economics / Re: Avoid running into financial ruin this Christmas! on: January 10, 2023, 04:37:31 AM
That is correct -we can have fun by having a barbecue at home having a one dish party at home and what not.
Spending so much and getting a moment of happiness is not what we all look for.
So I think we must save some money even after christmas and that is really important to come up with the inflation
Trying to live a simple life is better and also not neglecting small parties with friends and family is an effort to maintain harmony and I think it's important to do this even though not only in the new year. That's why we need to tackle the problem of inflation by taking a simplistic approach to the minutiae associated with unnecessary levels of wastage.

While small parties we can do simply, enjoy nature while camping, grilling fish and lighting a bonfire with family and friends, isn't this much more fun and not a financial burden.

I would say there are times in a persons life when you should ignore the financial consequences of your actions. I understand that as our nature in bitcointalk, people here like money more than living the life, or at least think that they should become very rich first and then start living life.

But, I am not one of those people, I rather have a happy life with low financial stability than a life where I postpone everything and not live it properly with hopes that I may get rich one day. This Christmas and new years has been quite expensive for me, and I mean a lot, so it's really just a normal thing that I am facing the troubles with it, but had a good week.
Some people may live different lives from each other, that is a common thing to happen, liking money instead of living a normal life or thinking of being richer is an effort that is not really necessary in my opinion, let alone having to live a life that limits itself to loans and monthly bills, precisely this pattern of life will only get someone in trouble.

Inflation and recession have so affected human life today, many basic needs cannot be met, instead we are forced to live in luxury by borrowing money only for New Year's parties. For me this is too forced, because there are many ways to celebrate togetherness with a simple pattern and I know it's not your type, we are only discussing the discussion that OP conveyed in this post.
1291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: At What Age You Got into Bitcoin and also Trading? on: January 10, 2023, 03:07:40 AM
There are two direct approaches one gets to know bitcoin?

  • Introduced by a friend

I saw my friend displaying photos of profits and green candles on social media. It attracted me a lot, so it was originally an advantage. And that's money.  It was the first time I heard of Bitcoin. So I've known Bitcoin for almost 8 years and have gone through two halvings. So I feel very lucky to know Bitcoin because with this I can help improve my economy. To be precise, I got to know Bitcoin in 2015, it was after I finished my final college assignment. Although I am familiar with trading, it turns out that Bitcoin is very broad. There are many factors that influence it.
You know bitcoin is two years faster than me but the way we were introduced and the approach to bitcoin was different, I was introduced by a colleague and if I'm not mistaken through mining on one of the free websites but I don't really remember what the process was like anymore. April 8 2017 to be precise, I got to know this forum and got a lot of knowledge about bitcoin, crypto, exchange, wallet and others.

This is quite an impressive experience for me and it is true that there are many factors that influence people to get to know bitcoin, until today we have been so thick and adapted to the decentralized investment model.

OP...!!!
It doesn't look like this will help those of you and I who have been blocked by The Skeptical Chymist, despite requesting a review in this thread, as he has already explained the criteria for people falling into that category who have a chance for review.

That's not how I'm saying this works.  If a member has requested reviews from me in September, October, and November then I will continue to accept reminders on a monthly basis.

Meaning if we send messages sequentially in September, October and November then we fall into that category, but in December he no longer receives messages for review history and in this post he has explained. At this time we have to get used to earning Merit independently, by increasing the quality of posts, because I'm sure there will be others who are also willing to help.

As long as the red text below has not been edited and there have been no new notifications, the possibility for review is very small.

I am not taking any new requests for post history reviews and until further notice I'm only doing reviews for members who've been consistently PMing me--specifically for the last 3 months (since September).  Any member who doesn't fit into that category and sends me a PM is just going to have it deleted without reply.

From now on we must also get used to respecting his privacy.
1293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏆 The Emirates FA Cup - Season 2022/2023 on: January 09, 2023, 10:30:47 AM
I am curious to see the leaders of the Premier League how will they behave in their game against Oxford United which I think is a couple of leagues below.I believe that Arsenal has the full capacity to win this game easily even with their 2nd starting eleven, not the official formation.Surprises have happened here and I don't also exclude them from this game but I think it will be highly unlikely that Arsenal to screw up like Aston Villa did yesterday night.

I expect of course not a clean sheet for Arsenal if they play with their 2nd formation as they will be playing openly and maybe they will concede a goal,so both teams to score at a great odd is a good option.
Even though Arsenal have a much tighter match schedule compared to Oxford United, I don't think this match is too difficult for Arsenal to win. Oxford United is not a strong team to withstand Arsenal's positive trend, because in League 1 Oxford United is not the seeded team or the leader of the standings and is currently ranked 15th, not to mention the quality of the two teams which are very much different

Arteta will try to rotate several players in my opinion, considering the schedule in the Premier League is too tight and will face Tottenham. Even though they didn't appear with the main strength, I believe Arsenal can beat Oxford United.
1294  Economy / Economics / Re: Avoid running into financial ruin this Christmas! on: January 09, 2023, 09:05:55 AM
I also wish to remind everyone that we should spend money wisely and be very prudent. We should remember that by January of the next year, there would be a lot of bills that would need to be paid. So remember that while shopping for those items that may seem to be relevant and cool to get now but would be definitely irrelevant later on.
By January, a lot of people would probably be heading to the bank after going all out with their funds during Christmas to take loans to settle whatever bills would arise and there would be a lot that would arise!
I think money is always tight for most people in January cause they spent a whole lot of money during the Christmas period.
The biggest mistake people make is taking out a bank loan to pay off other bills, this is the same as "Dig a hole close a hole". Standards that are too forced to meet lifestyles are wrong patterns, the biggest impact they will receive financially will never be balanced to make ends meet. The world is facing recession and inflation, the economic cycle is also experiencing obstacles to recovery.

While human life patterns are increasingly directionless, unequal financial capabilities are forced to keep abreast of the times, but do not adapt to the prevailing circumstances, this destruction is getting closer to failure in managing finances at the individual level.

Quote
So while having a good time with friends, family and loved ones during this festive season, please remember that January, with all its bills is around the corner.
Everyone can have fun with friends and family in a simple way, forcing something beyond one's ability is a pattern of decline in thinking, life will look complicated if one cannot control financial expenses and is not adjusted according to income/expenses.
1295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: At What Age You Got into Bitcoin and also Trading? on: January 09, 2023, 07:43:36 AM
According to me mostly people that came in crypto are mostly young aged people that range from 15 to 30 years. And I have seen less old people that first gotten in crypto. Because they think that crypto is not good for them.
Regarding the age of someone who knows bitcoin, it is very relative, because there are many factors that make people familiar with bitcoin, social media and online news that is currently published also quite a lot discusses bitcoin openly. Meanwhile, parents who are not technologically literate will find it difficult to invest in bitcoin and maybe because of this factor, the age of 20-35 years is more dominant in investing in bitcoin at this time.

There are two direct approaches one gets to know bitcoin?

  • Introduced by a friend
  • Bitcoin information is obtained through social media or other online news

However, the important point is not at what age someone knows bitcoin, but how far people are involved in investing at this time, considering that many sources have proven that bitcoin is the best investment ever.
1296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 09, 2023, 06:30:50 AM
I think by now the Chelsea board have realized their mistake in appointing Potter as Chelsea manager. Their hope of sacking Tuchel some time ago was to restore the glory of the Blues in the hands of Potter. However, in fact, the team from North London was even worse off.

Todd Boehly must realize that Chelsea is one of the elite teams in the Premier League and every decision he makes should be carefully thought out and not rushed. Potter could handle Brighton, but he wasn't that experienced. In addition, Chelsea also never developed in the hands of coaches from England. Supposedly if they take Chelsea seriously, then accurate comparative data is needed so as not to be thrown out of the ranks of the elite team. Now is the time for Todd to evaluate Chelsea thoroughly. I think there is no more time to wait for Potter to restore Chelsea's spirits, except to wait for it to sink further.
The decision to sack Graham Potter too soon in my opinion will not make Chelsea rise under a new coach. The Premier League is very different from other leagues, if you watch every game often, how can Brentford beat Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool. Brighton beat Manchester United, Chelsea and Everton, there are several other bottom-of-the-table clubs capable of shocking the Premier League. I mean every coach who comes to the Premier League takes time to fix a club, one and two years is a very short time to see his coaching success. It would take Graham Potter much longer to get Chelsea back on track for a title race, if the management gave him a few years to improve, but I doubt the Chelsea management will do that.

If anyone compares Pep Guardiola's success in the second season it is clearly different, he came to Manchester City in a stable club condition and only continued a few touches and was supported by large capital to bring in the players he wanted. Jose Mourinho and Ancelotti, who have successfully handled other clubs, also experienced difficulties when coaching Premier League clubs and ended with dismissal.
1297  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: January 09, 2023, 05:29:39 AM
Even if your intentions are quite good in this regard, I don't think it's necessary to force it to encourage many people to enter into this matter, especially if the conditions seem to be forced, I don't think it's very good in the end.
It would be great if more people were in bitcoin because of course it could lead to more adoption and conditions would be better than before but I don't think the interest in bitcoin can be forced by anyone. Because in my opinion this condition must be based on self-will so that when it happens they will explore more and find out the ins and outs of this both from the conditions and the consequences they will get later.
All decisions are up to each individual, I do not mean to force people to get involved in investing, but I just want to make it clear that right now bitcoin is the best investment ever. Pushing and forcing have different meanings, I just want to engage in the sense of pushing.

If there are a thousand reasons people don't know bitcoin in depth. That is a classic reason and irrelevant to existing technological developments, only three people don't want to be involved in bitcoin investment?

  • Refused to accept bitcoins (hated it)
  • Do not have the capital to run
  • There is no technology as a support where he lives

For the rest, there is no other reason that can be accepted by common sense, because everyone has realized that bitcoin is an investment that is able to maintain value in the long term.
1298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what do you expect from cryptocurrency? on: January 08, 2023, 10:42:12 AM
If they are a long-term investor, yes but for a short-term investor, they can't afford to wait that long but they will only sell after a couple of months. For them, time is important more than the extra profit but I think they still can be able to earn more before those long-term investors sell their coins and make a profit, as long as they will buy back again right after they sell or they can wait first for the price to drop a little.
Ideas like this are usually used for bitcoin investments, for the long and short term bitcoin can always be relied upon. Even though at times in the short term bitcoin is very close to volatility, meaning the tendency to maintain investment value and as many people hope, the best step is to hold bitcoin in the long term.

Because what I understand, only bitcoin can be relied on compared to other existing cryptos, besides being able to maintain the investment value, bitcoin is also the best investment at the moment.

Quote
The halving is for BTC so BTC is the one that is expected to rise. It's important to max out this coin first before anything else. Maybe after the halving, that is the time that we can properly divide our funds to some other cryptos.
The market trend usually always follows bitcoin, when the recovery process is going well for bitcoin and that's when potential crypto will also follow it, maybe people's tastes will vary, but I think Ethereum is a good choice to use in investing.
1299  Economy / Economics / Re: Will central banks ultimately fail in their goal of lowering down inflation? on: January 08, 2023, 09:09:10 AM
I don't understand why this measure adopted by central banks reduce inflation, because what they do is to pay more money to investors through raised interest rates, what will consequently demand governments to print more money to fulfill with their obligations, resulting in more inflation and decreasement in purchasing power. As I see there is solution for the economy on these measures.

Or am I missing anything on this whole process?
Inflation will never be completely suppressed by the central bank, but I think they can reduce inflation using several methods. Central banks do not demand that the government print more money to meet the criteria you mentioned, although they do have authority in this area. Each country has specific laws against the addition of printed money, certain conditions have gone through several basic factors for approval for additions. Money can never be printed according to the tastes of the central bank, because it will affect the exchange rate and cause the exchange rate to go down. The amount of money in circulation affects the exchange rate of foreign money, that's why the state cannot print as much money as possible to pay off debts.

On the other hand, adding to the minimum wage also cannot completely cut deplation or inflation. If the money in circulation cannot be controlled in a balanced way, inflation actually occurs due to continuous increases in the prices of goods and services which are unstable under certain conditions.
1300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: investment in bitcoin should be short term or long term. on: January 08, 2023, 07:44:13 AM
No one can tell you for sure due to the risks involved op. If you are willing to take the risks and if you are ready to invest what you're willing to lose, I suggest investing for the long-term due to higher profit margins.
Basically, almost any investment or business is inseparable from risk, because it is involved in trading that involves money, then that's where the risk will arise. However, if the OP wants to minimize investment risk, long term HOLDing in bitcoin is the right pattern. Every long-term HOLDING will definitely get a large return, for example, setting the current year for investment in accordance with the current four-year cycle.

Just waiting for ATH before releasing bitcoin on a long-term investment, the most important thing is don't panic and stay calm when market conditions experience a severe correction, because if the cycle is close to a halving, then the return we get will be far more optimal.

Quote
You could earn well in the short-term too, but the profit margin would most likely be lower in comparison. Do your research thoroughly!
If using short-term patterns, bitcoin volatility is usually much more pronounced, to get a small income, short-term patterns are usually more successful, but they are also inseparable from market conditions when we enter and buy bitcoins. The best way to avoid risk is to use a long term investment pattern in bitcoin.

Because we can set the selling price from the previous purchase price, moreover the four year cycle relationship can take our investment to the next stage to reach ATH and that is why many people prefer long term investment in bitcoin.
