1061  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic effects of bitcoins on: June 16, 2017, 05:45:06 AM
first of all not all the 20 million coins are on exchange, also they are not on a single exchange anyway, so what you are talking about it's an impossible scenario

this ginius at best can stole 20k-100k like happened on some exchange in the past, and the price hardly crashed back then
1062  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reason for Bitcoin price fall on: June 16, 2017, 05:27:36 AM

i don't think so, i think it has more to do with bitmain and their news about mining a new fork of bitcoin, or simply the market was not ready for the last value

people want that the price keep increase forever, and they are clearly asking for an impossibility

still this crash is no where near the one that happened and put the value under $2k, i see we are already recovering, probably just someone dumping fro profit
1063  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Is Complete Garbage!!! on: June 16, 2017, 05:24:20 AM
it sounds like one of those angry early adopter that lost his coin and now he is angry against bitcoin because of his fault, the article is garbage not bitcoin, nothing to see here

now there is also this trend of competition from ETH bagholder, which will fight against bitcoin, to make you believe ETH is better, and trick you to buy their scam
1064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best way to store my cryptocurrenices on: June 16, 2017, 05:20:43 AM
the best and the fastest for me is to simply store the wallet.dat in a usb stick, and put it in a safe place, then buy many of those usb just in case one of them will broke you never know

and store your bitcoin in multiple part of 0.1 maybe with multiple wallet, you can them load safely on any machine, at worst only 0.1 will be lost
1065  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitmain announces plan to create altcoin if BIP148 succeeds on: June 15, 2017, 09:46:44 AM
i've been also wondering why bitmain is pro segwit with litecoin, but they are against segwit with bitcoin

i think the answer is clear now, with litecoin they have not all the fee because there is no delay in transactions due to the block being already 4 x before segwit

with bitcoin yes, so they are just greedy miners  that want more money and nothing more
If you think that is the answer, then you're just as uninformed. The main reason is covert ASICBOOST.

mmh could be apparently the exploit is not possible on other algo for now, but nothing say that it could not be possible in the future, behind the asic of litecoin, there is always bitmain

so in the future they might regret choosing segwit on litecoin, if they will able to find a similar exploit, still the fee ar enot negligeable, they provide an income which is on par or at least very near with asicboost of 20%
1066  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Is mining the right solution for me? on: June 15, 2017, 08:26:29 AM
You can use the "Lending" function of exchanges, and get about 20%/year of interest. It's easier than mining and probably more profitable, but there is the risk of
insolvency of the exchange.

not with poloniex, really hard to have insolvency with their monstrous volume, they are the first lending platform also for bitcoin, but the percentage you are talking about are no where near the reality, where do you get high % like that with the volatility of bitcoin?

mining right now has the less risk among of all investment, it's really a safe bet, dunno why people can't see this...
1067  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why do people create more than one BTC wallet ? on: June 15, 2017, 05:47:26 AM
i see two benefit, or maybe 3, the first oen is that with a new wallet you are without a doubt more anonymous, than running with the same wallet with multiple address

because two wallet are not linked with between other, hidden address are still linked, but not all of them are showed on blockchain info

second one is that the transaction size may be smaller for the beginning, because there is less imput and output

third point is that for cold storage having many wallet holding few bitcoin is safer, when you need to load them to use those bitcoin, your risk is lower, in case of infection

1069  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitmain announces plan to create altcoin if BIP148 succeeds on: June 14, 2017, 05:24:40 PM
oh i knew this would happen, what is this new coin that they would mine a fork of the original chian or an enterely new one, or maybe a coin already on the market?

It'll be a new fork of Bitcoin sort of in the vein of how XT/BU/Classic would've worked, but apparently he plans a little extra premine of 5400 "BTC" for himself.

so this prove that miner are untrustworthy, i bet they just want to do this to have that premine, and hard fork are perfect for that i would not be surprised if they do it in the future for another reason

or they could do another one int he future, as a fork, and make that shitty "swap scam trend" with their BU fork, 1:1
1070  Economy / Economics / Re: What don't you like about Banks and Banks controlling your money on: June 14, 2017, 09:21:07 AM
because i can't move my money where i want without stupid limit or money laundering and stuff like that, because removing money abroad cost much more than bitcoin

and because with some bank you are paying too much in fee for deposit withdrawal and monthly fee, now with deutesche bank, but still bitcoin allow me to do shopping with better privacy
1071  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Moving to China for the gir... I mean mining on: June 14, 2017, 08:26:17 AM
Electricity in China is similar to other developed countries. The price varies based on location and how the power was generated. It is not 3-4 cents all in across the whole country, if you live in an area with coal (which is still Chinas primary energy source) you wont pay less than 6-7 cents. Do your research if you are serious about moving there.

yeah in fact there are place like in washington where the electricity is cheaper than china, i heard about 2 cent electricity there, there is no need to go in chian if you live in the USA

still gpu mining is more profitable, because one 1070 can do $300 a month and cost nothing in electricity only 120 watt, one antminer $400, but consume 1400 watt, and an antminer cost 4 times one 1070...
1072  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitmain announces plan to create altcoin if BIP148 succeeds on: June 14, 2017, 07:32:21 AM
oh i knew this would happen, what is this new coin that they would mine a fork of the original chian or an enterely new one, or maybe a coin already on the market?

price dropping mean that other miners will come and the profit will increase drastically, which is good for new comers

also seems that mienrs forget every time that the exchange is what matter, they will only lose profit by switching to a new coin without volume, and maybe not even listed anywhere...
1073  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Safest way to keep bitcoins? on: June 14, 2017, 07:27:45 AM
you have two option, one is to have a dedicated computer like a laptop to your bitcoin client, and this laptop would only run bitcoin and  nothing else, no browsing no anything

another one is simply to use a trezor or a usb stick and hold there your wallet.dat, in offlien mode, no hacking is possible in this way
1074  Economy / Speculation / Re: Australia accepting bitcoin and SegWit from 1st of August on: June 13, 2017, 07:48:37 AM
australia is not like japan they were not as a big before like ti was for japan, which was prominent in the adoption even before regulating it

if more country begin to adopt like japan did it's clear that the value will increase, this is obvious, by how much no one know

i think segwit activation will play a better role than another country regulating bitcoin
1075  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoins and Bankers on: June 13, 2017, 05:48:36 AM
Exactly mate they are buying off all the Bitcoins by accumulating slowly but price already increasing because of some smart investors and some

Early adopters refuse to sell them cheap, anyone holding the majority of Bitcoins will simply be the one dictating the markets in the future.

In my believe we shouldn't even sell 1 coin what so ever, we shouldn't even trade it like buying items and goods that has to be done via altcoins.

We should use Bitcoin as an investment network transferring only millions not few bucks now that the code is solid and manipulation is hard.

I just realized how important Bitcoin really is and how could governments take the control? by accumulating the supply.

i don't think the government is involved in this pump at all, if the government were to actually try to buy, thevalue would be on 100k range already

also what would be the benefit for this? making all other people in the world rich? stupid...

the only think that make sense for any government is regulating bitcoin and makign it a currency like the local fiat, thus they can have more income in taxes
1076  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: are transaction delays crashing Bitcoin prices? on: June 13, 2017, 05:39:13 AM
transaction delay will make the value shot higher, because people need to pay more which force them to buy more bitcoin, it's a win win for miners and they like the way it is now

so no i think it's the opposite, the limit on the block for the moment will help the value go a bit higher, what you noticed is just a coincidence...

this same thign happened at $2500 when we went again to $2k, the average fee at that time was around the same as now
1077  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All cryptocurrencies vallue dropping fast atm on: June 13, 2017, 05:28:49 AM
uh where? i think you never heard the expression  "price correction", it's a normal thing to have a retreat after there is a pump, it's good for consolidation

besides not all altcoin are dumped, ETH is increasing more than 50% now, and bitcoin lost something like 5%? that is not even a price correction actually, but market fluctuations
1078  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Bitcoin on: June 13, 2017, 05:25:57 AM
the avera seems to be around 0.03 btc a week per signature, i would suggest to mien altcoin, it's more profitable than posting for signature, you can get 0.015 a day with 6 gpu, two months+ for a single bitcoin

Signature campaigns used to pay more bitcoins because the equivalent on USD was low, and that's no longer the case now so It really won't be that easy If that's all you are planning to do. If you however have some skills such as programming, or photoshoping then you could offer your services, and If you are actually good at what you are doing, It won't take you much time until you get your first bitcoin.

not really in all cases, i remember the same earnign as now for some signature, simply some of them were able to give a very high reward in the past because they need, massive advertisement now it's no longer the case they succeeded
1079  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If BTC splits, what happens to my coins in my wallet? on: June 13, 2017, 05:22:24 AM
it's not different than what happened with zclassic and zen, you will own both 1:1, but the value will not be the same, so don't start to think that you will double your money

also exchange will listen it as an altcoin, and will probably have a much lower value
1080  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: June 12, 2017, 03:56:29 PM
A 580 makes more mining mainstream coins then a 1070 mining most niche coins (not mainstream). More then that, it makes 40% more if you mine mainstream coins. Why are there still people buying and continuing to saturate Nvidia hashrate on multiple algos? Do they not know how the game works?

Because AMD has no future with these cards. If you take ethereum away, AMD mines for shit. And the only reason we are in this situation is because nobody cared to adjust genoil's CUDA kernel for daggerhashimoto on latest Pascal cards with WDDM2.1.

do you think with that adjustment a 1070 might do better than 32MH?
