1541  Local / Pamilihan / Re: RIGEN MARKETING - Investing on Cryptocurrency is a SCAM! on: June 15, 2019, 05:07:31 PM
Typical ponzi scheme. Walang bago dito.

Sigurado ako na kasunod na ang Rigen sa i-raid ng NBI at the request of SEC after their permits are revoked. Nakakalungkot lang isipin na actually this is not the first time that we have a ponzi scheme here in the Philippines and all of them didn't end well either the program collapsed or the government decided to intervene (two big risks in dealing with a pyramiding program).

Well, to these people, maybe they should get the option of transferring to Mars so they can create their own laws and government in there allowing all types and sizes of ponzi schemes to proliferate.
1542  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Tessline scam. on: June 15, 2019, 04:44:19 PM

I remembered that in 2017 there was also a big and popular ponzi scheme and they utilized Telegram bot -- it was also named a lady so there can be some similarities with Tess. Of course, the program never lasted for a year since the very business structure is not sustainable...it is when old members are paid from the money coming from new members (the simplest way to picture out a ponzi scam).

Tessline is not the first ponzi scam nor will be the last.
1543  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Drug Syndicates using Bitcoin in Philippines on: June 15, 2019, 04:15:33 PM
Yes, kung meron lang tayo maitutulong why not diba? Ipagpalagay natin bitcoin nga ginagamit ng drug syndicates for payment and yes not traceable because it is digital currency and how about the drugs through internet din ba? And why they blame bitcoin on that such crime para masira ang image nito?

Marami ng kaso sa USA na ginamit ang bitcoin sa pagbili ng mga illegal na druga at napatunayan nila doon na ang mga transactions sa bitcoin ay hindi pala totally anonymous as they were able to traced them using the usual technologies they have in hand. I think PDEA should look into that report...which I think the conclusion is that using cryptocurrency like bitcoin even made the whole thing easier to investigate...compared to the use of the fiat money.

We in the cryptocurrency community in the Philippines are hoping that they will not use some cases as the scapegoat to curtail the use and trade of bitcoin here in the Philippines in the same breath that nobody will ever proposed that we restrict the use of the peso all because drug syndicates are accepting peso as payment for their illegal wares. Let's hope that rational minds prevail...
1544  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin, or diversified investment? on: June 15, 2019, 04:03:03 PM

Aside from cryptocurrency, stocks can also be good but the view is that this is for the real long-term (like 10-20 years). As to banks, use them for their services but if you want still to go with them avail of their special money-producing products and not the usual deposit option.

For people who are risk-taker and who are willing to study the ins and outs, go with forex trading. Now, let me add real estate to the list as this is one of the best ways to increase one's wealth. As someone said, never put your eggs in one basket alone. The more the merrier, ika nga.
1545  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-06-11]Philippines’ Central Bank Will Continue to Closely Monitor Crypto, C on: June 15, 2019, 03:37:37 PM
LOL, isn't it too late for the Philippines to get this news though? I mean they have involved themselves in crypto for the longest time and why is it just now that the whole issue of terrorism/drugs comes into place? Coins.ph is very strict as far as their KYC/AML compliant already so I was surprised that BSP just release this statement in 2019. Although I can only surmise that drugs what one of the biggest problem of the Philippines right now, eventhough the government has step up it's "Oplan Tokhang", everyday lots of drug addicts are being busted, indicative that it's really hard to stop it. But kudos to the government though, at least they are very supportive of crypto and I do hope that they will continue to do so as oppose to their neighboring country India who make a U-turn.

This new statement was released under the new governorship of the Central Bank of the Philippines but I am sure this just a word of caution and that they are just doing their monitoring job religiously. Now, this can mean that crypto-related companies doing business in the country should make sure that they are above board and they should be strict in complying with all the regulations required by the government. The most popular exchange in the country has been strict with its KYC requirement and it is constantly banning accounts suspected of illegal activities to the consternation of those affected. I guess this strict implementation will continue and can even escalate...the most important thing for us is that we are generally free to conduct the business here. We could not actually blame for the government to be concerned on possible terrorism linkage and abuse (though this is far from reality for now) all because the country had been hit before by this gruesome and cowardly act of victimizing innocent people.
1546  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Adoption In Your Country on: June 15, 2019, 03:06:22 PM
There is no Bitcoin adoption in our country. Because Cryptocurrency is illegal now in our country! Though the government didn't ban crypto like India but dealing cryptocurrency in a public place is prohibited! After so much restriction, lots of people still using cryptocurrency by using VPN or proxy sites! Even many people leave the country only to use cryptocurrency safely! I wish one day our government will accept cryptocurrency and people will use it openly!

I always symphatize with people who understand the value of bitcoin and the whole cryptocurrency market and yet they find the government to be not open to this innovation as politicians are afraid that they gonna lose the financial control they held since time immemorial (a wrong mindset, to say the least). In your case, there is no official ban but development on the cryptocurrency adoption is almost on the halt as people could not easily move their coins into real cash...not unless one will go outside of the county maybe. In other words, the difficulties involved can make anybody into bitcoin slowly discouraged. Now, I am suggesting that those with bitcoin or cryptocurrency find ways to have their voices be heard by the government as I am sure there will be some leaders open to this new technology.
1547  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN BUBBLE on: June 15, 2019, 02:55:20 PM
I am sure that you are not the first to think of this "excellent" idea to "bring Bitcoin down to Zero so that every body can buy." Now, the problem is that it may not be coming true...and why is that, you may ask? Because when everybody will be buying bitcoin the price will shoot through the roof. Of course, I really doubt you and your group's capacity to effectively do it because if there is a possibility to do it now or maybe in the near future, I don't think anybody will be announcing it here in this forum in the first place. Either you are just dreaming or just joking...whichever you preferred you all have the right in this world to do so. I am looking forward to the time when bitcoin can become zero so that I can buy a million of bitcoin too. Good luck on your project.
1548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: IEO Launchpad BOUNTY on: June 15, 2019, 08:01:45 AM
IEO now has so many good bounty campaigns and you can earn from them
IEO have no guarantee of success. Some teams participate in the IEO after the failed ICO 2017-2018. The only plus is the authority of the exchange, they have to choose the project themselves for publication and it's reputation at stake.

You said that their reputation is at risk but you also said that ieo have no guarantee ?  What the ?  Are you confuse ?  Ieo is more guaranteed actually because the exchange reputation is at risk , binance for example but its still risky if you will invest on unkown exchanges that do ieo  .  so what if the ico teams have failed and migrated on ieo ?  There is no problem with that  .  maybe they the reason why they failed is because they lack of investors and not the other way around .

There is actually no guarantee expressed when we are supporting a project. However, we know that IEO compared to the usual ICO means that it is safer (or less risky) all because we are dealing with the exchange here directly and that we are assuming that the exchange is doing its vetting process well so that they don't deal with any scam project...but as to what will happen along the way maybe the exchange will not anymore make any hint on that as those can be depending on how good is the team behind the project.

Can someone please clarify if #WEEK 6 : 28 MAY TO 3 JUNE is the last week of the bounty campaign?
1550  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would happen if US government made Bitcoin illegal? on: June 15, 2019, 06:38:56 AM
Casual investors will immediately drop BTC, same with institutional investors, most Bitcoin businesses would close. The only people left on the network in the US would be cypherpunks, criminals, and buyers of illegal services. On a global scale Bitcoin will suffer from a huge crash, easily 90-95%, because if the US would ban BTC, many other countries would follow. If the EU would also ban, it would effectively be a worldwide ban, because most of Bitcoin traffic comes from the West, and the West is very influential, plus eastern countries already don't like BTC and are talking about banning it. Without enough hashpower Bitcoin would be easier to attack, which puts yet another instance of selling pressure on it.
In the end, Bitcoin will not die, because it''s decentralized and it can't be killed, but for most people it would be as good as dead, law-abiding citizens wouldn't want risk dealing with BTC.

Bitcoin can't die but what would be its use if most of the people who are into it right now will stop dealing with it? Virtually, it is going to be dead just like any good product that finds no critical size of a market. Now, using the scenario above, can we then conclude that the "life" of bitcoin is at the fingertips of the government? Though, of course, I don't expect the USA government to do what China did in 2017.
1551  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-06-13]Bakkt Names Launch Date for Bitcoin Futures Testing on: June 15, 2019, 06:32:43 AM

I wonder when the next launch date will be. It would be nice if Bakkt posted somewhere all the regulatory hurdles that they are jumping so that the public can see what the government is doing and making companies go through. Could be a use case for future companies looking to do something similar and cut down on the timeframes of these launches.

I am hoping that the team in BAKKT will share the many difficulties and lessons they experienced and learned when dealing with the government to make sure that the platform is fully compliant and that no legal hurdle remains for it to start operating. Anyway, let's hope that the opening of BAKKT can be a catalyst for more growth in the bitcoin market.
1552  Economy / Reputation / Re: Stake.com Signature Campaign - A new kind of future on: June 15, 2019, 03:15:04 AM
Seems like Steve will be more strict in monitoring the participants performance in this campaign.

Yeah... let's make good posts for the good for the forum.

actually, i still don't know what the criteria he made to choose the current member?
because of the active member and the most member receive rewards from HQ POST from the contest still got removed,
can @SteveStake share what the criteria for him to choose the current member? is it because the current member made a less post from the other?

I hope nobody gets angry at my post here. The way I am seeing it is that Steve is just using his own discretion in choosing who remains and who to kick in the campaign. I was kicked too but I am not complaining all because I decided to left even before Steve decided not to pick me...for the reason that I am afraid to be banned here. And I think we have to respect the decision of the campaign manager no matter how unacceptable it maybe.
1553  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ciphertrace Offers Easy AML to Bitcoin ATMs on: June 14, 2019, 09:34:26 AM

While I am happy to see many developments on this front -- the bitcoin ATMs niche of the greater cryptocurrency industry -- many are concern with the same issue again -- the KYC requirement in order to conduct business with the machine. I am not familiar with how these machines are working since I still have to use one but I am just hoping that KYC here is not burdensome and a further intrusion to our privacy. Anyway, since we actually have many options in converting bitcoin to real hard cash then maybe we should avoid this machine beast for the time being. I am particularly interested how the KYC with the machine works...anybody can share any good link for this concern is appreciated.
1554  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Americans need to lobby their legislators on: June 14, 2019, 09:28:04 AM
I posted at least four different threads in the last week about what FATF would do.

Now you see it. Binance is forcing KYC on the globe and kicking americans off. Do you get it yet? Do you understand how this is going down? Do you realize how much financial opportunity is going to be taken from you as you are barred from the global cryptocurrency economy? While the rich are allowed to do series A accreddited investing, institutional swap trading, and foreign trading of the most speculative altcoins. Do you realize this is a tax grab and a corral, this is not about fraud, it is about classism. Don't be deluded.

I agree with what you are hinting here. It seems that the government is making things hard for ordinary guys like you and me to play with the cryptocurrency market. While I do understand why many exchanges are imposing KYC, there should be rational parameters with this...meaning that KYC should not be extended to users who are just transacting small amount of funds (is Binance changing this policy?). Sometimes it is ludicrous that many small exchanges imposing stricter KYC policies when compared to Binance. This is what we get when there is no clear-cut laws regarding cryptocurrency use, possession and trading. Anyway, as the market is expanding, am sure that the time will come when a comprehensive law is passed recognizing and regulating this industry.
1555  Economy / Reputation / Re: Stake.com Signature Campaign - A new kind of future on: June 14, 2019, 08:53:42 AM
Unfortunately, I am not anymore included in the list but that is fine since I already feel that I should go as it has become too toxic for me lately.  Anyway, without any drama further, thanks a lot to Stake and Steve for this wonderful opportunity -- no single payment missed and always on schedule. Despite some shortcomings (especially in the eyes of his many critics), Steve is a good signature manager for me.
