Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

if you look at the numbers, there are quite interesting news!

on 7-12 the POS difficulty went down ( 15000 -> 5000 )
on 8-12 the masternode count went down ( 500 -> 62 )

i dont know if that is a bug on my client ( or as some would say "i abuse the network" lol ), or real numbers..
nevermind, my freshly minted coins arrive at Bittrex and i can trade them...
still 0.6 BTC available there to dump this coin!

lolz...what if.  He's been in this a long time though... so who knows.

I've run a permanent node for 8 bit for like 4-5 months now...  thought I was ready to give up a while ago, but I just couldn't.

This is still a cool coin, and the community is obviously still here, just in hiding.

What do you guys want to do at this point?  Should we stay here in waiting, continue to maintain the volume on trex (I know one of you is doing it, thank you), and hope for the best?  (the level i've fallen too)

Do we pool our btc and hire someone?  Do we hire someone with a HUGE bag of 8bit?

Is 8-bit-party going to intervene?  Mastertrader is getting hammered over at BST right now(well deserved)...this should be a life defining moment for you man...  or at least you got some lolz...

Shouldn't you be in a good mood?  Can we all move past this beef shit?

I'll be here, running my node, until the end...

Does anyone have a plan?  Thoughts?

This is how you were abusing the network (lol), your client saw only one (or two, I don't remember) masternode while there were dozens other active. Now it's better, your client sees 62 when there are hundreds other active. It's not a joke, it's a glitch.
Unfortunately I have also observed this case (althought not yesterday) so big decisions have to be made regarding 8BIT codebase. More TBA, although it has been already suggested here as necessary step.

What I have observed yesterday was a orphan storm just after I got my client responsible.
Masternodes are not connected directly to each node (that would be crazy), list of them is shared across clients. When network (of regular nodes) is quite small and "important" (accepting incoming connections, lot of connections) nodes disconnect, broken/partial list might be shared in part of network for a while  Also masternode payments are not enforced therefore such problem is not detected immediately by masternode operators.

In case of PoS we need more staking power from other users, why do you people keep your coins on the exchange? A price will not explode tommorow.

However, unlike many other coins' issues, things I've just discussed are not serious threat for a network (real problem is elsewhere), so it's all about improving network strenght not a matter of life and death.

BTW ATM network diff is 11600 and everything looks fine, are you sure there was 15000?

Hello 8Bit Community,
We would like to present you with one possible solution for all those
who have or had Nodes and supported the coin and tech.
There are a few projects we are working on and one in particular would fit this situation.
We read through the thread, see what has gone on here and wish you no harm.
What I speak is the truth and hope you could consider our offer to work together.
To be honest, we need an aggressive network of Nodes to support some unique tech we have,
and if done right could be suited for more than one project and purpose.
We believe you will be very pleased with the end result.

We are ready to colaborate with current devs and community, but also to run it "solo".
We may also need to do testing and present changes in the Code.
If there are any here that have done any work on any Node coding PM me direct.

We have setup a tiered structure that will reward those who support this endeavor.
When we meet this criteria of the substantial robust Node Service and Active Community
it will be adopted and we will include You and this Community in our projects.
We encourage all possible reasonable increases in storage/cpu capacity.
If you are a Coder of any type please stick around and check in from time to time.
There will be a real unique opportunity whereby you will be owners of your work.

We are aware of some issues of the existing code being faulty and working on solutions.
Inputs on these or any others would be helpful.
We may either combine all the Nodes into one project or have a few separate ones.
Keep your nodes up and running while trying to rebuild their numbers and the Community.
This is essential.

We also want your ideas and aspirations of where you wanted to see the tech go
with or without you personally contributing to the building.

Feel free to offer incentives to others to setup more nodes.
For those who would like to collaborate and work with us we have an incentive structure
in testing and will include you in this testing of better things to come.
Make it known your interest in working with us.

Take some time thinking and discussing, and let us know.
Happy Masternoding!

This would be one for 8 bit party. As long as it stays with the name 8 bit I'm Ok with it. At least something similar. I like the nostalgia of 8 bit and 8 bit gaming, but willing to listen.

I have so coins zavisli.Problemy network of 8Bit.

Sounds like partial Google translate from one of slavonic languages (most probably Russian) Smiley

decoded message (best guess): "why the 8BIT transactions are not going through? I have TX hanging without confirmations. 8bit network have problems"

possible answer: it happens with 8BIT sometimes. you have to re-sync and repeat the transaction and it will (may) go through.

Does the transaction appear on the blockchain at all?

Ultimately, I'd wait for a response from 8-bit-party.  He's the resident blockchain expert.

Stuck in limbo / orphaned. It will not go. Wait up to 5 days so it will be wiped out from mempool and tell cryptopia to resend it. As long as we will not fix code such case might happen occasionally.
