The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

So here is the latest and greatest snapshot I promised: https://mega.nz/#!DxVGybJY!_zhoNugTBwnsbmJtxJCWO3CMfqZ1k1O6mkrSVFbjk9w

It is taken about 8-10 hours ago, and it is the same chain both Bittrex and Cryptopia are using!
I have made test deposit to Cryptopia and it worked out brilliantly.

Looks like finally we have a working exchange again! Smiley

P.S. I would NOT recommend syncing from the scratch. Most probably you will never sync that way, and end up either on a fork, or being stuck on some obscure block. Snapshot is the way to go for now, until these issues are fixed or new codebase is introduced.

Nope. But if deposit worked, withdrawal should work too. It either works both ways, or doesn't work at all Smiley

You can try doing withdrawal that after you sync, and let us know here.

Hi Drays thanks for your help, I comment that I have tried all the ways to synchronize one of the wallets of a masternode, and is always stuck in an hour before and shows as if it was synchronized but it is not true.

What can I do to solve this?

Not sure what could be wrong... I've never experienced such behaviour with 8bit wallet. Do you have correct time set on that machine? Timezone?
There is no other reason why it should be stuck just 1 hour behind...

Did your "masternode.conf" setup work with qt-wallet?

Hello drays,
I downloaded your latest snapshot, and I put those cryptopia nodes on my 8bit.conf
But still not synced, I'm 18 hours behind,
I've been waiting for like 4 hours but still 18 hours behind.

yup, I have the same problem. The win wallet do not sync. Downloaded last clokchain and there it sits for 12 hours. Proccessed 1011120 blocks, 14hour behind. 62 peers.

Hello drays,
I downloaded your latest snapshot, and I put those cryptopia nodes on my 8bit.conf
But still not synced, I'm 18 hours behind,
I've been waiting for like 4 hours but still 18 hours behind.

What does "getpeerinfo" show? Do you have *any* peers now?
here is what i get,

~snip~

That is pretty good. You have quite enough good peers. You should be able to synchronize, unless your wallet tries to stake and gets on a fork of its own...

Its hard to tell whats wrong without looking into your debug.log, but my best guess is - your wallet probably tried to stake without syncing first.
Try to set "staking=0" in your "8bit.conf", then stop your wallet, restore my snapshot, then start it again. Look what happens in debug.log. If your PC is not *very* underpowered, you should be able to sync.

yup, I have the same problem. The win wallet do not sync. Downloaded last clokchain and there it sits for 12 hours. Proccessed 1011120 blocks, 14hour behind. 62 peers.

debug.log contain many of this:

I cannot vouch for Win wallet.. Undecided
I used it long time ago, it caused my PC to freeze, so I tossed it and am using Linux since. I would recommend to run the wallet under Ubuntu.

I'm so happy to see that withdrawals and deposit for 8BIT on Cryptopia finally working, but how can we ensure a stronger and better future for 8BIT especially to avoid unwanted forks and good blockchain stability?
Anyone running Masternodes what is the payout like?

I really like this coin.
I feel drawn to it.

I'm working on a site with info + dedicated forum for you guys. I'm not a dev or anything of the sort. I just want to contribute.

My plan was to build the site, secure it and then introduce it here in the forum and if the majority like it, then we can roll with it; if you think it sucks, no hard feelings. lol I understand the vision of this coin doesn't belong to me, but to everyone in this place. Everyone has a vision so I'd like to hold a vote on here since I feel this is pretty much the stronghold of this coin's community as far as I can tell.

So anyway, I'd like to do this. Its not ready yet. Still working on it as I have 3 jobs currently. But I will slap it together as fast but securely as possible!

Thanks for working on this.  Without active and sharing community any project is worth nothing. The more people try to do something constructive, the better. And your efforts are definitely welcome!
