Yesterday there were like 54 masternodes, today I see only 22. Also, I haven't received any stakes since Sep 3rd 04:35. Did something happen to the network?

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

The DEV might have taken his coins off the masternodes, in preparation for his next update or "soft fork".

This is just a guess.

The file is constantly growing in size and nothing happens. Who can advise how to defeat this?

Same thing here...I downloaded the most recent chain files from Sept 1, using cryptoptia nodes IPs, etc.
It has been very slowly creeping whole night but not much progress..... while consuming lots of CPU and Memory at the same time.

Lots of these in the log
ERROR: ProcessBlock() : already have block 1037804 7682f6e94f51374e7f1b5d672c40ca90960e624b70750ee8c0bd5910b013ca52

Latest block- 1041191...So I am 3383 behind. Around Sept 2.

can someone upload the blockchain data? its impossible to sync the wallet in windows  Cry Cry

tanx in advance

https://www.dropbox.com/s/f323dkzyrktn2wb/8bit_1036940.7z?dl=0

A few nodes on the same chain as Cryptopia and explorer.8bit.trade:
Code:
addnode=144.76.115.195:10011
addnode=94.181.95.237:18888
addnode=142.54.170.74:9001
addnode=45.32.207.94:9999
addnode=76.8.60.204:18888

i managed to sync my wallet (windows) with the above, however it managed to stay synced less than a day....its the third time i manage to sync it and then the orphan blocks (like the one people mentioned above) occurs.

i guess the win wallet is broken and need a fix...and i wanna start my masternodes Cry

Can someone upload the latest blockchain data ?? i'm stuck in 34 Hours

tanx in advance !!!

Its not just the Windows wallet, it is the 8bitd.

my current status........around the 1039000 block it started syncing much faster with more success on new blocks.
I could only speculate something weird was in the blockchain. The orphan messages do appear still.

Make sure you got lots of CPU and enough Memory until it fully syncs.
What I ended doing was , move the whole chain+8bitd from my VPS to my Quad Core PC. Once it syncs (I hope), I can move it back to the VPS.

8BIT BLOCK EXPLORER HAS RESYNCED
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/8bit/

so there was a problem with the chain after all Huh

why there 3 dif version of nodes 2.0, 2.1, 2.2 ?? is this normal ?? Win wallet is in 2.1 right ??

EDIT: OK i tried every possible way to make win wallet to sync. It worked for about a day using the instructions and block data from 2xjO9M3P post. The block that stuck everything in my case is 1039199.

Every time it stucks at block 1039199 and then orphan etc......so i dunno anymore.

If someone uploads the latest blockchain snapshot i ll give it a try again.

The links at the websites are.....lets say old.

I told this many times, but will tell once again:

forget about using Windows wallet for now. Unless the developer finds a fix, Windows wallet is useless (it was working years ago, though always was a resource hog, but it looks like it just cannot handle the current big bloated chain). I would really like to listen if anyone was actually able to run it successfully for more than a week... Anyone?

Use Linux. Consider this coin as Linux-only one for now.

... this space is not for rent ...

I use Linux Debian 9.1 / Mint 18.1 / Raspbian jessie on three different machines, but I do not experience any problems.

Let me assume that Linux does not have enough resources to compile.
Lack of a swap, may be the reason.
Show, please, the output of the command
Code:
free -h

Have a look at

rpcrawtransaction.cpp
and search for this line

const CScriptID& hash = boost::get<const CScriptID&>(address);

It should work after changed to

const CScriptID& hash = boost::get<CScriptID>(address);

Maybe this post will help you.
