Hi so I have done the updates as suggested but still cant send the coins?

Hello platinumjsi,

What error you get this time?

As I said, the command:

Code:
sendsplit eXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX '{"count":10,"amount":9888}'

is just an example. You need to adjust the numbers on your own to suit for your own wallet.

Say if you still get "transaction creation failed" error, please reduce the count number until it can be sent out.

If you still can't send even count=1, i.e.:

Code:
sendsplit eXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX '{"count":1,"amount":9888}'

Then you should reduce the amount until it works.

Peter

Hi I have done this on the old wallet and I get sucsess but I still cant send all my coins as I get transaction creation failed, cant do it on the new wallet as its got no coins.

How do I get the coins out of this wallet?

Hello platinumjsi,

Please read this carefully again:

If you still can't send even count=1, i.e.:

Code:
sendsplit eXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX '{"count":1,"amount":9888}'

Then you should reduce the amount until it works.

The amount 9888 was only an suggestion. When you use count=1, you should slowly reduce the amount value until you can clear all coins out this wallet.

Peter

Hi ENRG folks,
I have a little issue with the EnergyCoin wallet. I was staking on Windows until today where I had an issue with the OK. After a fresh restart I am not able to run the wallet anymore. When I start the wallet I get the message in the wallet status bar at the top saying "no response". I tried to delete the appdata/roaming/enrg folder, replacing the wallet.dat backup, downloading a fresh version of energy wallet. Nothing helps...
Any idea what the issue could be?
Thanks!

Search for a small windows registry mod called 'take ownership'.   Its possible your security is preventing access to the files you need to rebuild.  When you examining all the energy files, right click and take ownership on all directories and it'll be clear to proceed.    Similar to not having admin access if you recognise that situation.   I dont know that'll correct it but its simple to try

Thank you for your suggestion. I deleted the whole appdata/roaming/enrg folder and started the wallet from a different folder. Still the same behaviour. Not sure if this is a security thing since it created everything from scratch.  Huh

Maybe try with another username and see what happens.
It must be something with your system.
Maybe Peter has some other suggestions?

Success.

Hello galixxx,

If the EnergyCoin Core ever tried to load, it should show something in the debug.log. Go check there first.

If not, as Brian said, it should be something about your system. Check your system log or antivirus log etc.

Peter

P.S. next time when you run with new folder again, you can download the EnergyCoin blockchain from our bootstrap server first, instead of downloading the whole blockchain from scratch.

Thanks for your reply. I am now having a look at the debug.log. On what exactly shall I give a focus in that file?
I see the following issues:

dbenv.open LogDir=C:\Users\$$$\AppData\Roaming\EnergyCoin\database ErrorFile=C:\Users\$$$\AppData\Roaming\EnergyCoin\db.log --> db.log has 0kb
ERROR: GetMyExternalIP() : connection to 91.198.22.70:80 failed

debug.log is getting bigger where the wallet gui is still just a white blank page saying no response.
The two BLK*.dat files are also increasing in file size. Assuming the wallet is downloading the blockchain...

made some research and saw this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=450381.17680 describing the same behaviour. Unfortunately the solution was in that case to install a similar wallet.
Just remarked that DMD has the same issues on my machine... Other wallets are running well.

regarding DMD use newest build 2.1.0.4 and remove all files from %appdata%/diamond beside ur wallet.dat (and backup ur wallet.dat

if wallet startup still into a white frozen screen get in touch with me via email cloud@bit.diamonds

Both wallets are working now again. I booted the computer several times, installed the latest windows10 updates and suddenly with the recent restart both wallet GUI's are accessible.
Not sure what I did to get this work again. Anyway thank you all for your support! Much appreciated.

The bootstrap idea is good and Ive done that in the past but last I tried it gave me an error, energycoin-qt was closing immediately after.   I neglected to record that error exactly but it was working fine from scratch, just removing the .blk large files.
Not sure what I was doing wrong, I'll have a look at that debug.log as mentioned but I'll also try out the linux version with boot strap.   I'll edit in if thats working ok for me, I would hope so

Hello galixxx,

Glad to hear that you get your wallets working again. Smiley

Just want to answer your previous question so that you can know where to look at your debug.log next time you may run into another problem.

Normally you only need to give a focus on the last few lines of your debug.log.

The lines you quoted were about connection issue at the early stage of launch, and so they should be irrelevant.

Hello STT,

Thanks for the heads up.

But I cannot repeat your problem on my machines.

As a side note, if you find the energycoin-qt quit quickly on linux, it is usually you are running out of memory.

It is because the process gets killed automatically by linux kernel when it runs out of memory.

Hi people,
Our main investor and funder for development has withdrawal ENRG form Bittrex

The #1, 2 and 3 in de Bittrex list known investors and never sell for cheap.
There is a solid wall of 9 BTC, that is equal or more than some bigger currencies like Counterparty.
If you want profit from your investment just be patient and put your sell orders on level you satisfied.
With dumping you lose opportunity buy cheaper back because the majority of ENRG is in strong hands.
We want a steady grow of value and before the and of this year we have big news for what we have developed behind the scenes.
It gives ENRG the power to facilitation sharing energy between households in a community.
It is done before with etherium but we have zero costs for participants and we have Prove of Envirioment that means no wasted energy for mining.

Edit:
The ENRG network looks also more healty then before with 23 nodes!
We have now a marketcap of $ 275k and that is just the beginning!

Have a nice day,
Brian

Yes Check this tweet: https://twitter.com/europecoinEUORG/status/793064327880278017/photo/1
It takes some time to make it concrete so we continue our collaboration.
More news soon and holding your ENRG is the best strategy for profit.

Yes, after a quick check today, now I can see more than 30 connections in my main node.

Our EnergyCoin network has been getting more and more healthy now. Smiley
