I have the 1.5.1.0 client version working fine on a new machine but wanted to transfer the blockchain from the old machine. Seems not to like the old file, I've checked security permissions, read only flag and space available but not sure why its being fussy over my old copy.
Its not a massive deal, it will update just being connected to the network. I catch up an hour of transactions every 4 seconds but its 3 years behind so not as instant as it would be if allowing my old files. I figured I would use the bootstrap link in the first post of this thread but same error given. It'll download in a bit over a day, just thought I'd mention it in case its something obvious I missed
Hi STT,
I you use bootstrap move all original the files to copy folder and unzip the content to
Folder: "C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\EnergyCoin"
The files you see then are:
blk0001.dat
blkindex.dat
database
EnergyCoin.conf
Do not put your wallet.dat there when you start first time.
After client starts up ok you can quit and delete or rename the new wallet.dat
Move your wallet.dat to the folder and restart client
It takes maybe some more time becouse rescan blockchain.
If your wallet is old you don't see correct saldo in your wallet.
Just goto help -> open debug window -> tab console -> type "repairwallet" <enter>
And everting must be ok.
