Hi ENRG people,

My first post in more than 1 year.
My friend Brian did a great job for EnergyCoin and from August I can work again on the future of EnergyCoin and do promotion on my twitter.
I was not aware that EnergyCoin was listed on that exchange.
I tried to make an account but I was alraidy registered, I think it was from the very beginning with the voting for exchanges.
How long is EnergyCoin listed there?
Brian shall update the OP soon I think.
I see Brian often in personal he is my best friend.
So I know a lot about the future development and as windjc said the future of EnergyCoin is very prommesing.
There was a large dump and it is good if people sell who made a nice profit but I hope they not regret in a few month.

hi, mac wallet still running, but having an issue with closing at random occasions for no apparent reason.
letting the community know that mac wallet may have a bug, not critical just annoying at this stage

Am trying to import a private key in the windows client version 1.5.1.0 with 5 connected nodes and up to date blockchain (i believe)

I keep receiving this error when I attempt to importprivkey in debug window;

"Error adding key to wallet (code -4)"

When I look at my receiving addresses it is showing up their, but it doesn't reflect a change in my balance.
Not sure why it isn't accepting it.. When I search the public address on the blockchain it shows an accurate balance.. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Is your wallet unlocked?
I never had probleem with importprivkey.

Your wallet must be unlocked in order to import the private key please check that before trying to import your private key.

Replace the wallet.dat with the one containing your private key, and start by energycoin-qt.exe -rescan

I tried, but first I got an error saying"Error initializing database environment /Users/xyz/Library/Application Support/EnergyCoin! To recover, BACKUP THAT DIRECTORY, then remove everything from it except for wallet.dat."
and when I did that, then it says: "wallet.dat corrupt, salvage failed".

I backed up the files and returned to previous state, then I just get the first message.

Problem wih MacOS wallet we shall fix after we have new wallet for the comming fork.
In 4 weeks we hope we have cliënt for Windows, Unix and RaspberryPI.

In the OP you can see who is involved with EnergyCoin.
EnergyCoin Foundation gets website after the fork with profiles of the board.
We are an official non-profit entity registered by the "Kamer van Koophandel" in The Netherlands.

As there is one application for blockchain usefull then that is energy.
But EnergyCoin has a broader scope and that makes it so special.
I believe value of ENRG is fair and once the first application on basis of EnergyPatrty is launced higher value is probably.

I hope on a stable MacOS wallet after the fork.
That shall attract more people to EnergyCoin.

Well, I hold a small amount of ENRG, and definitely I don't expect to see an immediate boom here, however, on a long run
this is a true hidden gem.There is a huge potential in renewable energy industry, and as I can see you guys are pretty enthusiastic about all this.
Given that this project is in really early stage of development, there's a lot of hard work in front of the dev team.Hope it will follow the great story and enthusiasm
behind the coin.
So, thank you for the info on the Mac wallet, keep up the good work and I'll make sure to buy as much as I can while it's still cheap

files on a regular basis for public download.



Blockchain files are compressed with 7z format.
You may need to install 7-Zip first if you do not have it.
7-Zip is open-source and free software: http://www.7-zip.org/download.html



Special Notice: EnergyCoin blockchain is recorded in different pages in the database files.
These pages are, however, being stored in random order.
Depending on how random they are and how fast your hardware is,
accessing these random pages would still be an issue especially
on some slower machines as the blockchain size grows.



To effectively address this root cause and make it more energy-efficient,
starting from v1.4.0, we deliver a blockchain index* (blkindex.dat)
with pages that already sorted in order.
It is now compressed as 'EnergyCoinBlkChain.7z in this Bootstrap Server for your download.


Then you should get a faster database access speed in general.

That is a nice milestone!
We are now 3 year so next year we can also celibrate and make it a great happening!
Now we are working hard for our first application in Groningen.
There is a call for blockchain application in Dutch
We work on that with a team and we have only a few days left.
When we can start it boost the development of EnergyCoin.
We have platform for P2P energy trading in testnet but it comes right in time available for production!

It is a RasberryPI with several wallets preinstalled. You can run Bitcoin node and EnergyCoin on that platform.

No probleme.
Check the rokos website: http://rokos-flavors.space/flavors.html
There you see the flavors and all these coins you can run on rokos.
Some people run more than one coin on the rokos platform.
I think that is a bit to heavy for the hardware but I did that also in the past.
