I have some token and let them at Bittrex for some period. I also have feeling that a big spike in market is on the way. There is already nice rise since I bought at slightly above 2k satoshi. I am not in hurry and will be seeing what come out in few weeks because looks good at this moment.

If I run the wallet on Ubuntu desktop, where is it going to reference the energycoin.conf (I used the boot strap just not 100% on directory to leave it on non windows) . I was hoping it was the same directory at the wallet itself or is the program looking elsewhere because I cant find it exactly. Ideally when the program is executed it should be in a position to contact the network, it sits at zero clients currently which is where alot of beginners experience may end unfortunately. Right now I've not got any further on that install though I'm persistent enough to hopefully figure it out, I think alot of the general population just need it to be one click and go ideally
If anyone records their desktop with whatever system they are using when doing a normal install, that'd probably help alot for the average person. Of course some are ESL and video is helpful there too for clues

Hello STT, The EnergyCoin.conf (not energycoin.conf, please note the difference in the file name) should be located at the same directory of the wallet.dat. For Ubuntu, the default location should be: /home/YourUserName/.EnergyCoin You don't need to remember it. If you know where to read the debug.log in the Qt client console, you can always find the actual used data directory, which is recorded within the first few lines of the debug.log. Peter

Thx for sharing! Indeed time will tell. We choice to make it broader than just energy and give each community/application their own tokens on EnergyParty. Good news there are 36 nodes on version v1.6.0! Only 3 on v1.5.1 so the hard fork shall be successful! Then we can bring EnergyParty to mainnet! Tomorrow we have meeting with a design studio helping us to design a new website! Our new branding is on track and that is an important baby step in our roadmap besides launch of EnergyParty. Have a nice day, Jan

Are we waiting for the rest, or will we launch in the coming days? We hope to have this month EnergyParty online. After that we get special webwallet on top of EnergyParty. In Q4 we work on user applications BicycleBits with www.ring-ring.nu and smart-meter connection. Happy staking, Brian

That is possible, but better download the bootstrap and you are in sync in just a few hours. In the start post you find the link for boodstrap. A total resync will take days! Happy staking, Brian

Did you extract in the correct folder? Check Help -> debug window -> then you see : Current number of blocks If that is 0 you have extracted to the wrong folder. Then Check if you have EnergyCoin.conf in your EnergyCoin blockchain folder. If no than create that file and add: splitblkfiles=1 disabledebuglog=1 rpcport=22715 rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcuser=user9 rpcpassword=pass9 and all the nodes from: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/enrg/#!networkaddnode=122.57.236.122 addnode=137.56.136.165 addnode=145.53.94.98 addnode=154.69.16.75 addnode=154.69.38.96 addnode=177.139.79.122 addnode=178.220.204.24 addnode=178.220.245.47 addnode=178.84.193.186 addnode=213.127.128.246 addnode=217.100.120.10 addnode=217.175.119.125 addnode=223.134.228.169 addnode=24.201.205.221 addnode=40.112.185.197 addnode=49.180.163.176 addnode=51.254.45.117 addnode=51.254.68.179 addnode=73.52.0.237 addnode=77.119.249.127 addnode=77.171.189.3 addnode=77.172.140.65 addnode=77.172.185.125 addnode=80.101.29.96 addnode=80.114.20.156 addnode=80.218.184.244 addnode=82.169.246.82 addnode=84.83.89.16 addnode=85.150.45.20 addnode=86.84.172.169 addnode=86.92.182.137 addnode=92.110.174.51 addnode=94.142.212.242 addnode=94.189.241.91 addnode=95.146.70.118 addnode=95.146.70.14 addnode=95.97.89.210 addnode=96.246.242.21 addnode=96.246.48.110 Succes, Brian

Just a thought, is there any plan in the future where in ENRG can be used as payment to install energy saving features to the home such as Solar panels etc. That would truly boost this coin. All you would need is one vendor who agrees to accept ENRG as payment.
Something to think about.

This sounds a lot like Greencoin; it pays solar power producers. I wonder if the two coins could work together somehow?

This sounds a lot like Greencoin; it pays solar power producers. I wonder if the two coins could work together somehow? Yes that is possible in the future. The first application is EnergyParty with assets and these assets need some ENRG as fee the send to other users. The other feature of EnergyCoin is that it is a kind of a share in the total ecosystem and value today is about $ 15M. Then we want users of the ecosystem hold some EnergyCoin and offer them ways to collect them and hope they see ENRG as investment and get stake rewards supporting the network. Finaly I think an environmental marketplace is the ultimate goal where people can bid on solar panels, Tesla and other energy saving gadgets. When the price of ENRG rices on exchanges they can get the goods and services in this way speculation is tempered. Working together with other environmental coins is also possible, I think we can eat the other coins and offer them a little share based on marketcap.

I would imagine all this would take us to 2018 Q4 or even 2019. Given how this coin has been trending that is definitely in the realm of possibility.
