Does anybody from Iceland know this coin?
yea join the auroracoin groups on facebook
Our friend adam failed to mention that there are some official resources for users, including the official forum, with a predominantly Icelandic user base. There is also an official Facebook page, and a twitter accounts that has a majority of the followers originating from Iceland. The twitter link is not listed in the OP, but it can be found at https://twitter.com/OfficialAUR. -Fuse

AURORACOIN Just a quick update from the development team. You might have noticed we are a bit behind on our schedule. This is mainly due to the holidays and new insights in our plans to approve the blockchain. This does hoverer not mean we are not making progress! Sometimes you just have to take a little more time to get things right. And boy,.... Are we getting it right! - the Auroracoin dev team -

Funny, according to this rich list https://bitinfocharts.com/top-100-richest-bitcoin-addresses.html there are less than 500 000 people who own 1 or more bitcoin. that means that the network of people who hold any meaningful amount of bitcoin is only slightly bigger than the population of Iceland. What is Auroracoin going to look like when it is the default currency of Iceland?

With all these altcoin exchange closing, I suspect a lot of alt will die. How to survive when there is nowhere to trade/use. It these circonstance, Aur will somewhat be in a special spot with the ISX national exchange.
There is alteady a gap between ISX and ''rest-of-the-world'' AUR trading. I personnaly enjoy to see a market without BTC as intermediary.

Give it some time. I still think arbitrage will do its magic at some point.
