Might want to update the OP. It appears the only exchange that has SPR now is Bittrex. Not a good thing IMO.

good point.  If decentralization is our aim, the entirety of acquirable spr should not exist on a single exchange.  I dig bittrex and all, but what happens to the state of the coin if the site gets compromised?

perhaps we should actively work to get it listed on cryptsy?

If you want other exchanges to get interested in spreadcoin, you need to spread the word about spreadcoin. (create blogs, videos, services, tools, extend spreadcoin in whatever way you can)

Voting to get listed is pointless, this is not how it works.

Cryptsy will list us anyway (even without votes) when they see much more activity about spreadcoin in the general social media and the internet.
That's what they do. They monitor the net for interesting coins.

When the roadmap is out and discussed / updated, we can do some PR and get interest levels up to warrant extra volume on another exchange - to tie with service node testing.

i dont entirely agree ...

they CAN ( whether its probable or not is of no consequence ) list spr on the exchange ...

whether they WILL is not an assured thing - like you make it out to be georgem ...

everyone was CERTAIN that mr spread will take this coin in leaps and bounds ahead of everyone else ... look what happened ...

never assume ...

a listing on cryptsy is a step ... small though it may be - its a STEP ...

the more in the spr arsenal - the stronger the coin ...

on the flipside ... once spr IS a valuable coin ( not just financially - but servicewise also ) - then we how many exchanges are really necessary? ...

hehehe ...

beta and hddvd thought so too ...

yet vhs and bluray won out in the end ...

were the technologies better? ... NUP! ...

if we have our heads up our backsides and dont think spr shit doesnt stink - then we are ALREADY in trouble ...

stay grounded guys - stay focussed - by all means stay positive ... but most of all - stay REAL ...

small steps means we can wear bigger shoes in the end ...

I heard Cryptsy list coins for a 2BTC donation but that could just be nonsense.  Sling managed it at the moment of their launch somehow though...

if that was the case - then the top few coins would already be in the exchange ...

they have more than 2btc just in votes ...

the guess is - that if there is enough money - and you know the right people - one could get in via the 'back route' ...

but either way - its wont make an iota of difference if we do nothing about contacting them to get in ... with the let them come to 'us' mentality ...

Yeah, I would only want to be on Cryptsy by merit.  Besides, there are other exchanges out there.  Poloniex has been a good servant to SDC recently but I don't know whether it has a clean reputation.  Its new to me.

merit ( votes and donation votes by the community ) is the only way to go ...

thats my belief also ...

spr is good - and the community behind it is strong ...

the reputation at the hands of georgem and 'the gang' will be a good one ...

ive watched spr ... since it started ... its on a good path right now ...

Nothing 100% agreed yet.

Proposals are around 100 SPR, at the moment, but that just gets you started.

GH is being cantankerous, the web GUI won't create a fork; apparently I already have a fork of bitcoin via my fork of ppcoin, sigh.

The working repos might be better off located in the main Spreadcoin org section, a port to SpreadCoin Core is a big enough job that the issue tracker is likely to play a useful role.

Cheers

Graham

ok we will try it this way for now https://github.com/FireWalkerX/spreadcoin-core

i will do a proper merge with upstream when im off the ship, its hard with limit internet to do anything else right now

but for now you should be able to clone it

here it gets too hot  Grin

FYI

http://eprints.eemcs.utwente.nl/22349/

my thoughts on Exchange :

Cryptsy its shit and slow (((( but more PR + its fact

Poloniex little shit ))) but nice UI

It is necessary to "cut" a decentralized Exchange and then everything will be ok) This is the way may be the first service that can offer project > The technical side of the project is huge, but we're not where we do not hurry)? or hurry?

Q.

Over the next few years, would it be possible for users to access servicenode services by remote login?

For example - rather than a user downloading an SPR client (which means having to keep it up to date, hard forks, etc) could a user just launch a remote session and by doing so launch an anonymous profile which gets set-up on the SPR network? ~ A thin client.

Spread as a decentralized cloud service?
