It's great to see healthy skepticism around here. I really feel bad for everyone who gave their time and money to this project and georgem. For what seems to be a pay per view chatroom for interesting discussion, i doubt newcomers give a frig about stimulating conversation (that's all they will get here). This is an expensive hobby for some SPR investors and I can only ask you guys to "Spread" out you're Spreadcoin to other coins... Especially coins with masternodes and have a relative low marketcap compared with DASH. DNET and Crown look very promising coins, however DNET are probably less interested in hosting bitcoin nodes via masternodes than Crown (seeing though half the SPR investors went there).

This coin (Under Georgem) is rotting away... It almost smells.

Don't worry, I will answer everything and everybody.
...snip...

Hey Georgem,

I may have got my wires crossed, so please also clarify:

Code:
And what's worse with SPR is that we are talking about servicenodes who will be supervising other coins full nodes.  ???
So WOW, I can't imagine a bigger clusterfuck from a (de)centralization standpoint.
http://spreadcointalk.org/index.php?topic=762.msg4157#msg4157

I understand this to mean the Bitcoin node idea and whatever form it would eventually take.

I would like to see this idea through into production. If I've got my wires crossed, then that's cool.

However, if I haven't got my wires crossed, then I would probably look at other options to pursue the idea which would obviously need to be outside of SPR.

The latter being the case, if you did want to work on the project as a private contractor, I'd be more than happy to see if we could work something out. It would probably take me a while to regroup, but you would be pretty high on the list of people to contact, if you were open to the idea and available that is.
The Force (finally) Awakens.

Hmm, he could also be from a country that was colonized by you Brits (save the US).

Ahhh.. Now it seems Georgem is opposed to Masternodes/Serivcenodes... Because of centralization issues.
The issue being that a small amount of investors own around 66% of SPR's current supply.
That's quite a change in attitude since the early days of gerogems takeover of SPR  Huh
Let me get this right... georgem claims to have been working on servicenodes for over a year, but now is opposed to implementing them, so all that work was bullshit, right? And you admit the delivery of servicenodes will not be delivered until the currency becomes more distributed? So option 1 = Hold SPR for release of SN's (You'll be waiting forever) or option 2 = Sell large amounts of your holdings in SPR and MAYBE see the release of SN's? Each options points to major, MAJOR dumpage.
He complains about people complaining... "lmao"
What, do you think your lack of progress doesn't warrant criticism? Your delusional.

I hereby declare the Internet and Internet Money officially, drum roll, British

If you do, I think it should be a very brief, single paragraph article like 100 words or less that simply identifies what Bitcoin is.

I wish rather than deleting the article, they put a length restriction.  If something is not famous enough, there could at least be a stub article identifying what it is.  I often come across annoying red links of things that Wiki ought to at least have heard of.

The article could be as simple as something like:
"Bitcoin is a peer-to-peer decentralised /link/electronic currency/link/."

The more standard Wiki thing to do is that we should have a paragraph in one of the more general categories that we are an instance of, like Electronic Currency or Electronic Cash.  We can probably establish a paragraph there.  Again, keep it short.  Just identifying what it is.

God Save The Queen.

Whats ur point? Now diseased Dave Kleimen was the guys who bitcoin media outlets describe as satoshi, he was assassinated by craig wright over the private keys that allowed to spend satoshi coins from the addresses that first appeared on the network in january 2009.

Hey everyone.

Allow me to invite you all on a stroll through Georgem's field of happy lies.

Stay tuned."

"Testing will start in about a month (hopefully earlier).

What we are in need right now are full spreadcoin nodes.

If you can run a full spreadcoin node (with open port 41678) for the next few months, then PM me your IP."

Hey the price jumped up a little. Good. Lets hope it keeps increasing.
If there was a progress bar for servicenodes what percentage would it be at? 10%?

If I were forced to estimate I would say approximately 35%

"I'm currently occupied with servicenode development, and I was going to look into mining optimization only after that."

Seems that got turned around!

I am currently working on my own implementation of Servicenodes, that I will release in the next days. (I am dead set to release it before end of year!)"

FEBRUARY 29th, 2016 -- FIRST MENTION OF "DEV PODCASTS"

"I understand that what people are most waiting to see is some sort of update about the work I've been doing. And not just once, but in a regular manner, maybe once a week?
It will take me a few days to put all the experiments I have done (and their results) in a digestible form that can be publicly presented.
I do have a promising format in mind that I can use to present updates, possibly in the form of a youtube podcast.

Please bare with me for a few more days, to get everything in order."

ANOTHER MENTION OF WEEKLY DEV UPDATES (MARCH 2nd)

Now that we've made it to the end of our tour, tell me, what do you see on the horizon?

Look! There! A glimmer on the horizon! Could it be?

NODES? no, definitely not nodes.

WAIT WAIT... IT'S A WALLET! Oh, nope, no wallet.

IT MUST BE WEEKLY DEV UPDATES...!

Oh, no that's not it.

There you have it Spreasants! Not even weekly dev updates after months of waiting.

SOON! Cool

The best laid plans don't always get implemented.

Indeed impostercoins, what a deeply insightful post. Fortunately, your plans will come to fruition with me, the real dev.

However, I express my deepest regrets for being away from the forums for so long. I have had many pressing matters to attend to and the mods have still not rid this space of the likes of Georgem (the fake dev).

In this late hour, I come bearing bad news. I was recently rendered without a computer due to my furious bout of coding seen below:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8NJTv5YJ_VU

As you can see, I tried operating it after its collapse to no avail.

I know you have been eagerly awaiting my newest update on the triple vanity gen. Unfortunately, it's not ready yet due to the above complications.  Lips sealed

After my computer fell apart, I was forced to begin rummaging for materials to rebuild and start anew. (What good dev doesn't build his own computer with materials all found and made by him?)

Both stylish and pragmatic, behold the blueprints with which I will build the computer that will sally us forth to the eventual centralized masternode network and quite possibly 10000000000 million dollars per coin.

http://www.interestingfactsfun.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/Chinese-Abacus-and-Influence.jpg

I would say I have about 400 more dev hours until this is done. I am still researching how to operate a pan to mine for gold so I can inlay some beautiful filigree to my new computer.

Stay tuned!  Cool

Hi guys,

The real dev here. I have finally rummaged together the parts for my new computer and have gleefully set it up.

After many long hours of thinking about how best to centralize this coin, i have decided that by fiat declaration I need everyone to send me all of their spread! By doing this i hope to create a centralized mega node and you will be able to watch as I happily profit massive amounts of spread.

if you don't simply send me all your coins i will be forced to only dev 0 to 10 percent of my waking hours. But don't worry though, in sending me all your coins i will give you each a large sum of spread annually. At most one spread per year! But never fear! I expect the incoming market cap to reach upward of 420 million 69 billion trillion dollars.

If you have any suggestions for development ideas please don't post them because this is a centralized project!

However, please do send me all of your money.

P.S. presents coming soon including the long awaited triple vanity gen. (remember they said it couldn't be done?)

Stay tuned!  Cool

georgerm here.... I apologize that I haven't been onlinee as much. I have had to keep my use of technology secret from my tribe. If they knew that I was using technology, I would surely take the L. They don't even know that I have a computer. I must keep the followin g truncated

Been trapped here for a while now. Somehow I was knocked unconscious and when I woke up I was in a giant anarcho primitivist tribe.  the past few months have been trying on my soul.... If any of the members of the tribe found out that I was here typing on my computer, I would surely be stoned, pickled, and fed to the commune......Usually tribes feed people to the dogs, but primitivists think dogs are technology.

Regardless of how the anprims would deal with me, development may be slow from here on out due to this sole, yet very large issue. Please send any penicillin you may have. I have a nasty toe infection and if it doesn't go away I don't know if I'll ever be able to finish the half - address vanity generator.

Stay tuned.  Embarrassed

Greetings,

Quick update. I would like to begin by saying I am completely safe. I know you were all very concerned after I sent the above note. I want to officially thank everyone who sent me nice PMs expressing the desire to aid me in my prior situation. An unusually fortunate situation arose and I am now completely safe and more than pleased.

How did I arrive to this point, you ask? Please, please. Take a seat.

As a philanderer, I could not help but leave my makeshift hovel and confront the an-prims head on! I could not live without any hope of ever touching a woman's flesh again. So I set out that same night and snuck through the forest in hopes of wooing a tribeswoman.

Luck would have it that upon crossing a river I stumbled across the fairest woman I have ever seen. She had short hair, beautiful dark brown eyes, perceptive ears. Irritatingly, though, I could barely make out her features. Weary I was, I mustered the strength to crawl closer. Careful not to rustle any branches or sticks and even more careful not to slip and fall on the slippery river stones, I closed the distance between myself and the fairest creature I had ever seen. Close enough, I proceeded to squat, behind a fern bush and using both my hands to part the leaves ever so slightly I was finally able to feast my eyes upon the carnal display. I blinked, for her beauty was blinding. In disbelief with what I saw, I rubbed my eyes with my now dirty, grubby hands.

What appeared after three more times ensuring I had my eyes open, took my breath away. Bathing in the frothy, effervescent river was nothing less than a large human sized hamster. Perfectly groomed whiskers and rusty fur punctuated with milky white spots provided beautiful contrast to the otherwise green environment.

As sailors in mythology can hardly resist sirens, I couldn't resist this hamster.

To ensure brevity and get to the more important update about the half address vanity generator, I will only say that there was immediate chemistry between me and this large human sized hamster.  Wink She led me back to their camp and made me her king. So long story short, I am now amongst a strange hamster race not anything near what I said earlier. Sometimes when you're making things up reality just comes out of no where and hits you lolol! But let me tell you all... it is heaven on earth! Lmao!

Since you have all been so patient, I will now share with you my work on this coin of ours. I frenetically promised a half wallet vanity generator address before I knew that I would not actually adhere to my word. So I would like to inform you that I will be spending the next days working on a quarter address vanity generator, a far more achievable feat. I do not anticipate it being superseded by the other dev claiming to be able to release a triple vanity gen, so I will work at my own pace.

Stay tuned. Lips sealed
