10/June/2015 : DEV HAS ACHIEVED MASTERNODES ! COIN SWAP STARTS AT CCEX AND ENDS THE 15th JUNE TO UPDATE TO MN WALLET !

11 to 13/June/2015 : Success  Cheesy !

14/June/2015 : Time to tweet ! https://twitter.com/btxcoin/status/608632413640507392

15/June/2015 : Swap is done !

Read it, and THEN POST.

Coin swap is only mentioned once in the OP: on the actual date, with only 5 days to swap.

And again, I'm not complaining, just trying to find out how this screwup happened.

5 days is more than enough. I check this thread every day once. Takes exactly 2min.

The Coinswap was mentioned at least 5 times !

In big letters on the OP at THE VERY TOP

In the thread many times

And in the summary of achievements !

So, shit happens.
It was just 8 BTC worth of BTX (at the price I bought them) that I lost, I'll get over it.

But you could behave a bit less like a complete ass and just say: "ah, 5 days may have a bit short for a swap".

You know, I have a social life too... Crypto is just a hobby for me now and I don't check the forum every day, like many others...

Bitcoin is safe: my first wallet still works and I only start it 4 times a year to let it sync. No fear to lose them...

I didn't expect another blockchain swap so I didn't feel the urge to look at it every week.
I expected masternodes and was waiting for them.

And I asked why there were so many coins and you cleared it up, though you could have been a bit nicer.

I guess MaGNeT has learnt it the hard way why things like coin swaps to the new block chain with a 1 week advance notice should never happen. Money doesn't like surprises. Crypto isn't money, but anyway.

Lucky Stake

If you have more than 50 000 coins you have a chance to win 1000 coins.
If you have more than 100 000 coins you have a chance to win 3000 coins.
If you have more than 300 000 coins you have a chance to win 12000 coins.

Is the amount needed per chunk or per address/wallet ?

The other ANN was locked due to limitations for newbie accounts. Therefore, we are going back to this ANN.

Thank you for your concern.

BREAKING NEWS!!
MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

We have “Inked” a deal with an additional Developer!!!

It took some looking, and then some time to get to the point where I could legitimately approach him, but it’s a deal!!  I have to tell everyone upfront that this guy has impressed the BTX out of me!  During our initial conversations, prior to my making any payment, he had already reviewed the code and came back with 7 improvements / enhancements, and is looking at the InstantX implementation now.  I feel comfortable enough with the “Crypto Relationship” that I advanced him the full initial payment.

Also in keeping true to my belief that a Dev is more likely to stick around long term if they have a vested interest in the coin, the majority of the compensation is in BTX with some BTC on the side to sweeten the pot.  For the time being, I am funding the development so those details will be between the Dev and myself unless he chooses to release that information.

Now on to the details of our new Dev Member and then some caveats on our relationship.

The Dev is CryptoVote.
He has a very impressive LinkedIn profile.  Aside from that, he has been very, very active in the new development work on SLING.  As such, he has extensive knowledge of the SLING codebase and since we are a clone of SLING, extensive knowledge of our codebase.  What he has been able to accomplish with SLING since he started development is simply amazing.  Amazing enough that I couldn’t resist and had to buy some SLING.

That being said, the arrangement with CrytpoVote does not in any way suggest that he is abandoning SLING for BTX.  Quite the opposite.  If you look at our OP, we are asking Devs to unite to bring life, innovation, and trust back into the CryptoCurrency world.  This is the first step.

During our “negotiations”, I explained to CryptoVote that features he develops are at his and my discretion unique to the 2 coins.  We are creating “Sister Coins” if you want.  If we were to include enhancements / features to both coins, we would create opposing coins.  In contrast, by keeping some features unique to the individual coins, we will, in my opinion create cross interest and investment into both coins. I truly believe this is a win-win situation for both coins.

I will be sending CryptoVote an invitation to the Slack accounts shortly.  Please join me in welcoming him to our community.

Great! CrptoVote is very active in Sling and Crave. Seems to be a good guy. It will be interesting to see what he comes up with. Thank you for your effort and welcome CryptoVote.

Thanks for the upbeat message.  I agree, CryptoVote has done some fantastic work on SLING.  I know from the conversations I had with him leading up to his agreeing to join us, he's one of the honest folks.  Dealing with him over the last few days, I've learned a lot.  I've also been rejuvenated to get my butt back in gear and go back to some back end "stuff" that will only add value to both coins.

I know it had been a bit too long since there were any posts here from the team, I just needed to be 100% certain of the deal before I announced anything.  There is no way I want to make any kind of statement that could be considered "Hype" regarding either of the coins.... they're my 401K  Wink

I can promise you that I will be here for the long term and the majority of the current team will be here long term also.  One requirement I'll be requesting of the current team is a weekly check in on Slack to ensure they are still around.   I'm also bringing in a "back-up" for myself in the event my "day job" has me restricted from the forum for any length of time.  We all started out at close to, if not the beginning of the initial launch of the coin and we want it to be a success story (talking BTX) just like SLING.  SLING, I came to know from researching the masternodes and was impressed with CryptoVote.

Well today was productive!!!  I knew this was going to work.

CryptoVote and myself were on Slack for the good part of 2 hours this evening.
If you recall from my announcement, he had initially identified a number of issues which existed in SLING and were carried over when the clone to BTX was done.  He had already implemented the changes to SLING 2.0.0.1 and has now implemented them in BTX.  They are as follows;

1) masternode enforce payments- done
2) RPC exhaust fix- done
3) wallet fix, priority calculation in CreateTransaction- done
4) add checkpoints- done

There is another change he suggested but we agreed to pass it by the community to get your votes / opinions on it.  That change would be to change the text color on the options menu when using the dark background.  The text is fairly hard to see, at least with my old eyes, and I guess with his younger eyes.  I just switched to the light background and never mentioned it.

What are your thoughts and opinions / votes?

Also, food for thought, at 65M coins currently, vote yes or no as to whether or not you think we’re inflated?

Also, CryptoVote is continuing to look at the InstantX implementation tonight , so do not include that in the following request;
If you know of any bugs or issues with the current wallet or daemon, please let us know so we can review the list and come up with a realistic release date.
The updates listed above (1-4) are completed the color change can also be completed, and I’m waiting for his evaluation on InstantX.  Once we have a working list of fixes/enhancements, we can come up with a release schedule.

If InstantX is 2 weeks away, I say we do a minor release as soon as 1-4 are checked in and have been tested.
That’s it for today (bet you all wish I was still AWOL with these long winded posts)  Wink

I Suggest a dark theme similar to this in the mix of colors,  the color theme is similar to BTX colors, its dark, easy to read, and elegant.
