New GP website at http://goldpieces.net  is up. Enjoy! Still in Beta but it is a start Smiley

We are all working hard behind the scenes to take GP to the next level.

If you want to help or run a GP enabled web game please PM me.

Also, some people have told me they like the current 2.5 GP staking cap per input and so not want a fork at all. I was thinking of opening this to a vote and letting the community decide. No one "owns" GP, and you, the community are what's important to GP. What do you all think? Should we take a poll on this? Do you want a fork or do you think we should keep GP as it is? Let me know.

Let's put this on vote, where clear definition what each solution means and brings!

Yes, I will set up the poll soon so then we have a clear direction for where we are heading in terms of the protocol. For the ecosystem we have awesome plans!

Registration doesn't work for me. When I click "sign up" it says
" OOPS! 404
Page not found, sorry Sad"

Can you try again and let me know if you still get this error?

Will get the web dev to look into it.
Still says it.

Yea, I will vote for the current model of PoS, because this model is well suited to keeping inflation within reasonable limits.

Yup , its perfect!!! Keeps prices high, money supply low. For those , that truly want the 500%, they will have to create small blocks.

Vegas

I want to make sure everyone knows that I just released my software called "Yobit pump alert". THis is custom software that uses an algo to detect the start of a pump here on yobit, the second it starts. YOu can even filter the coins you see by price. Most pumps start less than 100 sats , so you can easily filter the cheap coins, so they are the only ones displayed Smiley https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1945937.msg20241953#msg20241953

any chance of a Mac wallet?

Here's what HYPERFuture said about that:

Is there a mac wallet for GP?

Unfortunately not. The HYPER Mac wallet turned out to be quite buggy and I don't have the funds to pay a full-time Mac developer for HYPER or GP. If you know a Mac dev that would like to volunteer to build a Mac GP wallet (and perhaps even help update the HYPER Mac wallet) please let me know.

ok sorry I probably saw that and forgot.  I'm just trying to work out if I'm better just keeping the GP on Bittrex and playing the swings, or withdrawing and staking.  I managed to increase from 7k to 10k GP with a couple of trades but the market's gone to sleep a bit so might try and build the linux wallet again in a VM.

What's the best rate of interest people have been getting, roughly?  Anywhere near 500%?  I was doing about 0.1% a day on my old computer with 150 GP inputs, which even when compounded is only about 40%/yr if I remember rightly.

And what's the current best guesstimate for best size inputs for maximum staking?

Thanks very much

I don't know what the best is, but here was what HYPERFuture had to say about it:

...
1.) Try inputs of 125 - 150. I think 50 may be too small. You will want to experiment. I think we discovered over 100 was best.

Thanks MMH will maybe try.  Anyone got any experience to share in how many percent interest they are getting that they haven't shared already in the thread?

Its really weird with GP that you cannot put a number on it. I tried multiple splits from 10 - 25 - 50 to 100  and few months I was getting close to 100%
then a bit less and then I stopped really taking notes and analyzing it. While I was datamining though there seemed to be only like 1600-2000 GPs mined daily for whole network, so more people mining less % for you unless the "cap"(daily gps mined) moves with more miners.

I splitted blocks to 100 per block and i get around 2 GP per block..but dont know for the future how will this work..

Ok thanks guys
100-150 per block sounds like the way to go then, and nearly 100%/year plus price inflation sounds pretty good to me - don't want to lose it all trading.  However with the distribution on Bittrex someone is accumulating big style atm so I think a pump may be incoming in the not too distant future.  Think I'll sit high enough up in the sell wall that if I get hit on a pump I'll be able to rebuy more afterwards (definitely want to keep GP for the future) - for a month or so & if I don't get hit on a pump I'll withdraw & stake.  Dangerous game but not as dangerous as dumping on the buy support and hoping price will go down again, got away with that once but price creeping up steadily now.

GP development is going steadily along. Making some big announcements soon. Don't worry about the price fluctuations, in the big picture they don't matter much at all.
