If I have extra money that I do not need, I sometimes deposit and gamble them (or buy something). Usually I end up withdrawing tiny bits back until I get greedy and lose it all. Even though I lose, I'm not in any major debt or crisis because I only play with what I can afford.

I have made good money from gambling (not BTC gambling) I usually play a offsite local lottery and through experience I have become really good at it but even in BTC gambling I am not at any loss. The trick is to take it slow, just set your limit for a session and don't ever go over that and only gamble with the money you can afford to lose, if you mix gambling with your emotions then you're bound to lose.

Also, I believe the luck plays a huge part when you're gambling, even if you're playing Poker which is considered to be somewhat skill based you still need luck to be on your side and one can't be lucky every day.

When you do gambling just for fun, so it's okay if you lose, and it's be great if you win. But if you bet all of your money to expect get high winning, I think it will wreck your life, although you win because you will addicted by that. And if you lose, you will lost all of your money and can be depressed.

Some people know how to stop and know not to spend all their money on it but other people dont and end up broke or with really bad problems. People these days can do anything for money which is sad.

It probably is an addiction then. Its not the only thing that makes me feel happy but it does keep me addicted to the screen. Its hard to have control over it. Most of the days I keep playing until I lose all of it. I need to get over that part.

It sounds like he is talking about sniffing cocaine honestly, haha. You may feel alive when you win but im sure you feel like shit when you lose your money, the problem is that if you keep coming back and you cant stop that means you are addicted just like cocaine addicts or any other drug. This one may seem less bad but in some cases could be worse than cocaine addiction.

If you are looking for something to fix your life, gambling shouldn't be your first choice.   However, it shouldn't ruin it either.   There needs to be a healthy balance.   It;s similar to how some become alcoholics and some can just manage to drink only socially.

for me I don't take it seriously when I play -EV games like dice , roulette , slots ... etc
in these games I just play for the fun part
but yes gambling for sure can fix your life when you play +EV games like poker
I take poker seriously cause it's beatable and there are many situations that could make you for example X2 of your bet when you are 80% ahead
and I make some money playing poker , but in other games usually broke  

Yeah sometimes gamble fix your life but mostly it fix Only for a few moments, in the end mostly wreck your life because the addicting gamble make you want to win more and more.
As with the poker, poker can fix your life forever as long as you have a good skill, because poker is a strategic gamble.

Really?  Gambling isn't that for me.  Gambling just adds a little fun to your life (the adrenaline).  I play for fun and honestly, I go in with the mindset that I'm going to lose.  Just gamble what you CAN afford to lose.

Thats what i did! Strangely when we play with mindset that we are going to lose, we always win some.
And when we play with mindset we have to win, we always lose and feel bad.

It can always go both ways... You can end up losing a fortune or winning a fortune (if you are willing to wager a fortune ofc).
The moral here is as always, never wager what you can't afford to lose. Personally i made few coins but wouldn't call it a fortune.

While I enjoy gambling, I am fortunately not addicted to it, and I always set a stop win and a stop loss every week.
So may be I will be winning or losing $100 this week but that $100 proft or loss will have an insignificant effect on my life.

it's not just any other drug, you can be addicted to quite literally anything. food (obesity), work (workaholics), etc. any addict knows that continuing their habit is bad, weather it's financially, physically, or mentally, but they keep choosing to continue because they always see the "fix" as worth more than the cost. now with gambling, if people equate hundreds of dollars as "worth" for a few minutes of that adrenaline rush, a gambling addiction could easily be worse than any drug addiction.

I have experience when i feel bored and try to play some gamble intends to relieve the boring, and then i caught my self on losing streak and i play again and again until i have nothing to play.
Damn now its not about to let boring mood go away but how to get my money back.

I think we should think gambling as a way to get fun, not to get money

Gambling sometimes might be fun with poker, blackjack and other games but there are also some other games that are not fun and just want your money, dice for example, i doubt anyone has fun playing dice without money, would you have fun playing dice if money wasnt involved?

Gambling has absolute no effect on my life.I gamble for money but in my extra time without messing up my personal life and activities to be disturbed because of my gamble.I control the games till now and didn't let the gamble to lead me,I mean to say I am not desperate to gamble .

I guess you have lost so much in gambling, so you never feel fun about that. The key why people feel fun is, how you can drive your desire. If you get winning, so you should know when you will stop, and if you lost, don't do revenge to get your money back. If you don't like lose, so don't gamble.
