[ANN] Mellow Ads - simple, bitcoin advertising. Network/CPM/CPC. Free faucet!

So here's my stats as of 3 days in:

Views: 90,699
Unique Views: 30,204
All Clicks: 15
Unique Clicks: 14

So essentially 1/3 of the total views are unique (actually more than expected, for faucets): A+
Clicks accounted for about 0.02% of the views

Some things to note:

1) I used a pure text ad, seen below:


2) This was with a payment amount of 0.001 BTC/day. So essentially it came out to 5 clicks per mBTC (0.0002 BTC per click). And 10k unique views per mBTC (0.0001 BTC per 1k unique views), or 30k views per mBTC (0.000033 BTC per 1k views)

3) Users aren't being paid to click the sites, so the above cost is for 100% interested users -- not fake visits

4) My campaign (at 0.001/day) is still active, so there are more views/clicks on top of the ones I listed above

5) With more advertisers, I think the view count may drop on a cost basis, so it'll be interesting to see how it pans out

All in all, I'm very impressed with the results so far!

Do note, advertisers, that your ad itself matters more than the site it's on. If your ad isn't compelling to users, they aren't going to click it no matter how many times they see it. With a better ad, my results would be significantly better.

Ok understood. We have now implemented CSRF protection throughout the site.
Also as you have suggested we have also added in method="post" to all our forms, however this is not really important as we are using ajax POST for all server-side calls.

I  didn't place the ads yet due to this reason but if this function is not already in place I would suggest it.

Hi, we haven't launched the publisher side of things yet - this will hopefully be coming next week.
Once we do, yes of course you can specify the size of ad space(s) that you wish to show on your site - we will support the 10 most common ad sizes based on IAB guidelines.
There will be more info posted on this thread once this is available

We are aiming to keep the fees as low as possible. One of the driving forces behind us building Mellow Ads is to give an alternative to the high fees that other networks charge.
As you say, CPM campaigns will be 0% fee - i.e. the publisher will get the full amount paid by the advertiser. And for network campaigns we will retain a 10% fee, and the other 90% is shared proportionally between the publishers who contribute views to the network - based on unique views. In both cases, the relevant payments will be made daily to the publishers. We will continue to be as transparent as we can with showing how this is all broken down.

With regard to your last question, CPM campaigns will be based on unique views. So the advertiser will be buying blocks of 1000 unique views at the price set by each publisher.
Having run successful faucets (Moon Bitcoin, Bitcoin Zebra) for over 12 months now, we have built some pretty solid back end algorithms and bot detection systems that are being adapted to hopefully provide good protection against faked impressions/clicks. Although we will never be able to guarantee this is 100% accurate, we are confident it will be more than good enough to give confidence to both advertisers and honest publishers that they aren't being duped.

Unique views was something we considered too, but decided to go with unique clicks. People still didn't seem to notice us (or like us) as much as we hoped, but we hope that they WILL notice you. And stop paying the insane fees to other networks for providing absolutely ineffective campaigns for the advertisers. So, we really wish you good luck.

And one more question - are unique views counted on a daily basis or for the whole campaign? For example, I run a campaign 5 days, is the whole campaign supposed to be with unique clicks or every new day the old ip's could be counted again?
