To be honest i do not think that it is really a good idea to try and teach kids about Bitcoin because they need to focus on other things. Let them focus and school and sports and stuff.
Exactly kids should not be asked to earn bitcoin at this stage and its better to ask them to concentrate on their studies as there is entire life ahead to earn bitcoins.

I think there's about the same thread created in Bitcoin Discussion and that answer is replied to multiple times. From my perspective, if the kid IS actually interested in bitcoins, then help him try to understand it. Just give him the pros and cons and ways of earning them that they can do. Don't suggest faucets as it will only crush their expectations of bitcoins.

I do not have any idea but just to spend your bitcoin wisely. You can tell kids by saying something about bitcoins. Its origin, how it is made, who made it. How does it operate. How much is the value. Then you can just keep it and wait for the price to go high then you can sell it. Or maybe you could put some of it to invest on some good investment sites. Try to be good by it by not doing some gambling as it will just be a vice.

i am also not agree with this, i think children kids should not learn about bitcoin, children should give concentration to their study, because once they become addict of earning money then they will not give attention to their study, and that will really effect their future, therefore i am not in the favour of kids education about bitcoin.

What's the purpose of education if it won't allow you to earn enough money to support you and your family? I assume there can be no argument over what is better - becoming an addict of earning or becoming an addict of learning. A money earning addict would beat a rote learning addict any day, since apart from just learning how to earn money, he can always learn anything else, quickly and efficiently... If it is required for earning even more money, of course

Agreed and I think this is not the right time for them to get into bitcoins, as they might find it complicated and would not be interested in knowing about bitcoin.

Well my part of me says yes and another part of me says no. As bitcoin is like a subject of investing to me. Maybe starting the kids early about a lesson in saving genrally can help them walk there way through the possibility of learning bitcoin. As investing there are many ways E.g. Stocks Land Forex Amd many more BTC is one of them.

This article doesn't talk about bitcoin but it got me thinking how to get kinds interested in bitcoin within the context of appropriate money management lessons. Think of we could teach kinds about it. The growth, the adoption, the inflation and retraction. The allure of the "internet money".
...what other ideas come to mind?
I think that kids that are on school and are good at math its easy to introduce them in the cryptography(if they haven't heard/learned before at school). I think that we should introduce them bitcoin as the new and innovative currency and about the hashes and the encryption we should tell them through the math processes.

It should always depends on the age of the kids because there level of comprehension is very important in order to them to understand and to interest bitcoins, for minors, this is not actually good for them to learned because it might cause them a damage in their focus on studies.

i think its not good idea to teach kids about bitcoin, because this is make them to confusing, better to teach them about lesson in school, and after they at least 17 years old, then you can introduce bitcoin with them. make your kids have a good memory about them when they were kids and fill their memory with a good thing that can remain them that they have a good experience with their childhood.

Why? would you force them to learn and inculcate the knowledge about bitcoin in their minds? if that's your plan, then I think that won't work and could really confuse them... There will come a time that a child keeps on asking things that are new, if he asks you about bitcoin, that is the right time to teach them about it slowly, or if you don't want to, then don't, let them live like a caveman...

i agree. i think it is really wierd to teach kids about bitcoin before you teach them about money and how they should use money in the right way. but "kid" has a broad deffinition. so you have to confirm what age are you calling a kid, because from some age older you can actually teach them about bitcoin and it is a good idea too.

This thread is almost the same as this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1428859. Buy anyway, kids should first know about the fundamentals of subjects in school like mathematics, science, etc. so their mind would become ripe enough to understand bitcoins. I would tell them that bitcoin is money that is on the Internet and you can also use it buy stuffs just like cash (fiat). I wouldn't want to go into a deeper conversation about bitcoins because it's highly unlikely that a kid would understand all of these stuffs. Usually kids would just say "Okay" and carry on to what they are doing.

Yes, other than how to earn / use bitcoin, there is one big concern for most of the long term bitcoin holders like nominating their next generations for digital assets. Yes, every son/daughter must be taught about parents' all assets and savings. This way preparing your kids to handle bitcoin effectively for their future must be a big responsibility for every bitcoiner. When we are having long term plans with bitcoin, we must think about all possibilities scenarios for a calm and better future our kids.

I guess this is not the best way to teach kids if you want them to succeed in their future independent life... Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime

Exactly kids should not be asked to earn bitcoin at this stage and its better to ask them to concentrate on their studies as there is entire life ahead to earn bitcoins. Yes, I think the better question is how to prevent kids from using bitcoin? If you look at different applications of bitcoin, even virtual buying with different tools must be restricted for them.

Maybe by introducing your kid to bitcoin. Asked him to read an article about it and maybe you could add a little encouragement. Told him what would be its future like a real money. Maybe you could try to involve him everytime you would open your computer and do transactions with bitcoins. Exposing him to bitcoin would give him some curiosity. And of course show him your profit.

Well somehow it is good to consider that kids are very naughty at all and they can use bitcoin for different transaction that they want to try. But I think they must focus first in their studies and they must know about bitcoin yet, but if they are very knowledgeable tell them that bitcoin is simply as 'online money'.
