But we just passed the halving and nothing happened. It's completely normal supply and demand. I wonder what would the next halving would bring upon us.

yes i am also hoping so that the price of bitcoin cannot fall to such a low price, although the  market can take some correction which can cause a little downfall but not so much and it will be a temporary downfall, after some time the price will again raise to its previous position.

You should consider the time that it will take as well. Just because there's profit, doesn't mean that it's a good way to make money. What if an emergency comes? Then you would only get a few dollars after waiting for a month or so. A good way to make money should give you the most profit in the least period of time. I think there's a lot of other things in the cryptoworld that is better than holding bitcoins.

Of course they won't this is what they have been waiting for. But as the price is keeps on increasing the higher price of bitcoin they wanted to be. Because even they already earned from the price increase, they are still going to ask for more price increase if they sees the price which is already good enough to be contented.

Isn't asking for more called greediness?  Anyway, it is true that once the target price is met, we keep on hoping to have a higher price and keep our bitcoin which is supposed to be sold at that price.  We tend to wait a bit longer hoping for more increase in price so we can book a better profit which often times ended in a much lower price because the hype has gone we failed to sell when it is at its peak of increase.  As a result we wait again for another increase which will take another month.

I don't know if BTC price will increase very fast in a short time period again soon, but hold bitcoins is still a good deal. Sooner or later the price will rise again, as we are seeing since this currency was created. In my opinion it's a good way to earn money and safe also.

Just because the price has taken a small break you think the pumping is over? Think again. It's a process that may take several weeks where you will see some days with barely any upwards movement as people secure profits (which is totally normal). And that is what causing this break to take place.

Honestly speaking, this isn't the best time to buy Bitcoin. Especially when you consider that the price has gone up greatly already. Just think about it, why buy right now, while you had the chance to buy at much lower than current leveles? Just wait for it, the price will come down again.

I first got bitcoin from withdrawing from gambling sites.  I deposited with another method but could withdraw bitcoin so i did it.  Around that time bitcoin was around $220 usd or so and when i got it, i would then trade it for poker funds from other person etc because I didn't want to hold the bitcoins due to reading about price fluctuations.  However, isn't the value of bitcoin almost always going to go up so its best to hold it?  I know last year it was $600 and the highest was when it was more than $1000 per bitcoin.  But since it is all the way down to $200-$300, isn't having bitcoin always good?  Could bitcoin go all the way to 0 soon?  I had thought hey if you get bitcoin when its $230 when the price stayed like that for a long time, thats great b/c very hard for it to go below $200 because i haven't seen that.  But even if it does, isn't it almost always going to rebound and go back up?  Last time i had btc and it was $230 or so and now it went up to $260.  So if you have say 100 bitcoins... well... thats a nice $3000 profit or so.


I'm sure there are ppl that have thousands or bitcoins right and just hold on to it?  And many that would sell btc immediately if prices go all the way up?  If someone had say 500 bitcoin... then btc price went up $20 in say a week or so... selling it would net them $10000 minus fees right?  However if they sell it via localbitcoins or other method, they are going to get a higher profit right?  However if they do this, say sold all their 500 btc... then once bitcoin later in the year go up another $50... well that would be $25000 less they would have earned.



In general, isn't holding BTC always a good thing since the price of it is pretty low now?  Obviously if you bought btc at $600 or $1000 and thought it would went up and held on to your btc, that would been a disaster.  But since its in the $200-$300 range, isn't having BTC always good?

But it would be very profitable to me due at the start I use bitcoin is still at the price of $ 250 and is now up 2x and it was very good. Yeah, it is good way to make money but at times keeping the bitcoin for very long time might not be a good ea, instead you buy at available lower price and sell it at possible higher price and keeping repeating the process for long haul, you will see your money grow like never before. For doing so, you never need to be a perfect trader, passive participation in trading is more than enough.
