Is Holding Bitcoin a long time good way to make money?

In my point of view, The choice depends to everyone according to their passion and there are some people that if want not to take the risk in trading and are willing to wait in a long period of time to achieve a profit. Although if we see about profit, trading give bigger profit.

it will be good if we buy bitcoin in 2011 or even when bitcoin has launch for the first time so we can buy bitcoin with cheap price and we hold it until now and sell the half of our bitcoin and make a lot of money. but its just the past that we can regret it and for now, i think we can buy bitcoin no matter when the price is high or low and holding bitcoin for a long time too if we want.

I totally agree, all will surely benefit, more or a little. For long term trading it will be

Yes people who bought btc back in 2009 and 2010 time are making profit selling. But in this case most of them have already sold away all their coins in the years that followed since btc price was increasing and they wanted to book profits.

Even today buying some btc is worth it since people are always trading on btc and hence prices keep fluctuating - more importantly increasing enough to give us profits on selling.

There is a difference between net worth and profit!
Suppose you bought Bitcoin this year for $1000 and hold it. It means you invested $1000 in Bitcoin and your net worth increased by that amount (obviously there will no rise in net worth since you bought btc with your own cash).
Now, in following year Bitcoin rose to $1200 and you sold it. So on the whole you earn profit of $200. But when you observe carefully, holding process ended!
So, holding and profit are contradicting terms. By holding Bitcoin one can increase his/her net worth but for profit trading bitcoin is only solution!

This is the one reason why traders have been holding bitcoin and selling it on prices rise beyond 1000USD. The prices keep on increasing every year and so the people are willing to buy some bitcoin, hold it and then sell it sometime later. Holding the coins for years may not yield so much profit as daily trading but still its good for people who are busy with other work and cant watch the markets all day.
