Worst mistake I made with bitcoin ever was spending a bunch of it as the value was increasing. I thought it was not a big foul but turns out I lost out on a lot of future equity. Won't happen again but you guys are of course welcome for the official sacrifice I made. Smiley

Tried to send some bitcoins to a real Bitcoin Cash address, directly out of Bitcoin-qt Core. The Bitcoin Cash client rejected the transfer, and I was able to import the address private key into Core and get my bitcoins back.

Cool

Worst mistake was investing in some mining company which offered returns in one week. I knew it was a scam but invested in it anyway, just to see where it would lead me. I only put in like $5, which I gained all back. Just when I was making profit the company shut its site down, and lots of people lost their money.

My worst mistake with Bitcoin was not holding my BTC dear in 2016/early 2017. I putting it in all kinds of ponzi programs and that really got me burnt.

Worst mistake that I made was lending money in bitcoin last summer. To be exact in june. Few months later bitcoin price went from 5k $ to 11k$. I was so pissed off. I didn't lend so much bitcoin but at the same time it's too much for a guy that has 22 years old. But there is good thing. That brought me into this forum, and making money online. That is what I enjoy  for now. I hope I will manage to get that money as fast as possible. Because time is my biggest enemy. Bitcoin is stable now. But my personal opionion is that he will rise a lot in summer.

Edited (27 May 2016): This thread was moved from Bitcoin Discussion to Off-topic by someone with the ability - not me.
I am not going to post in meta because I do not want trouble. Hopefully someone with a much higher position will look into this matter.

What's the worst mistake you did with your Bitcoin? It can vary from starting to use Bitcoin to buying dumped Altcoin to gambling.

The worst mistake I made with Bitcoin is... Buying cloud mining hashrate. I bought 0.02 GH/s CEX.IO hash rate voucher at SEOClerk for $2 USD - or maybe $1 USD. I thought with 0.02 GH/s, I would be making a profit in half a year.. And I was wrong.

Well, I bought using the free five dollars coupon. So that does not count as making a mistake with Bitcoin. However, the slow profit lead me to buying hashing power from CEX.IO and later on.. ZeusHash using the Bitcoin I earned from signature campaign.. Again, I thought I would be making profit in a few months. Till today, I'm sure I have not make any profit from both the company yet. CEX.IO stopped their cloud mining operation and.. ZeusHash.. What do you think.?

Edited (15 May 2016):

First edit since this thread was posted. Anyway, after reaching more than 100 pages (103 to be exact), today I will list down some common ones.

1. Gambling
2. Not knowing Bitcoin earlier.
3. Participating in HYIP & Wrong trading technique (both Altcoin and day trading).
4. Sending to wrong address & lost of wallet.
5. Cloud mining & scammed trade.
My biggest mistake with bitcoin is that it has sold 200 btc by 2015
