Worst mistake you did with Bitcoin?

So this thread is one of my most successful one at Bitcointalk with over a hundred pages or replies. Anyway, first edit to the first post was made.

Listed down some common mistakes people made with Bitcoin.

1. Gambling.
2. Not knowing Bitcoin earlier.
3. Participating in HYIP & Wrong trading technique (both Altcoin and day trading).
4. Sending to wrong address & lost of wallet.
5. Cloud mining & scammed trade.

Since i don't gamble no 1 doesn't apply to me. But no 2-4 are things i recognize. If I could do it all over I would have saved at least 4-5 bitcoins.
For me was learning money...

Good to know that you do not gamble! If you do gamble and become addicted to it, you would have lose more than what you lost from point two to four. Anyway, spending 4-5 Bitcoin learning about money ... is a somewhat good investment.

Can't we put all errors listed in this thread into this single category?

I sent my coins to the wrong investments... I should have send it to another address of mine instead.

Haha. This is actually the fourth most mistakes I read so far. I have never send to a wrong address before because I will check whenever I send Bitcoin - even if I copied and paste or used QR code.

mistake a lot of people are gambling with the amount that is too large? they are dreaming to get a big profit. so they dare to take the risk to gamble with big bets. when it ended in defeat so that you get is a very big loss

This is my worst mistake of all mistake that I did I think...When I was updating my first ever bitcoin core wallet, it freezes in activating best chain, So I decided to uninstall my bitcoin core wallet and delete the whole file and start again..I mistakenly Ctrl+A and delete everything including my wallet.dat..I was still newbie that time, lucky that it only has .05 in that...

I think this is the first step to defeat. There is no strategy to gambling except some very special ones where you might get a small advantage like with poker or blackjack. But there are way too many dice site users that think they can beat the system with some sort of strategy. Which is delusional.

But there are way too many dice site users that think they can beat the system with some sort of strategy. Which is delusional.

Exactly there in no strategy in gambling it depends only on luck,but majority of times you will loose and only gambling houses will make profits.

As quoted I too tried hard to be away from gambling but I was unable to be out of it. The reason is that the mind asks give it a try to get back the lost amount. So getting out of it is really hard.

what a mistake.  I think this mistake taught you a lesson on how important making a backup regularly is. BTWI did not use the core wallet before

I believe worst mistake most of us has ever done about bitcoin is not knowing it any earlier as mentioned above. Now, we are trying to save bitcoin and wait until price goes significantly up again like it did in the past. I have a feeling more people waiting for it than more unlikely such an increase will ever happen. I believe it wouldn`t be good for Bitcoin either. I think Bitcoin will increase slowly from now on and those who are patent enough will make some money in the future.

yeah it will go higher in future for sure, and the mistake we did was not having faith in bitcoin at initial stage, if we would have invested earlier, then scenario would be different for us.

Next time just save it and wait for the price movement and yeah, convert it immediately to fiat.

Yeah its better to convert it to fiat and spend wherever you want as its good to spend rather then loosing hard earned money in gambling.

Yeah its better to convert it to fiat and spend wherever you want as its good to spend rather then loosing hard earned money in gambling.

But we cant really stops owners decision because its their money maybe they want to entertain there self or want to gain fast money in short period of time just like me before i gamble to much just to entertain my self in dice game and poker but little did i know when i calculate my lose i found out i lose to much rather than my winnings and i really regret that and if i save it by now i have many funds in my wallet but still i keep gamblinf but in moderate ways by now.

Yeah no one have benefited from gambling in long run, the percentage of loosing would be much higher then winning, so its better not to gamble.

CLoud mining en other kind of ponzi's. Thing is my friend warned me so with every investment i did do my due diligence but it was no tenought.
Don't think  anybody is resistant though, problem here is that bitcoin has too many scammers.
