I have done lots of mistakes, but the biggest one was keeping BTC on Mintpal. My 6k dollars are completely lost. This is a good lesson - never keep on exchanges more than you can afford to lose, use your own wallet.

What you have did is really insane. None keeps such a high amount in exchange. Have seen users suggesting not to keep in investment sites itself, so never keep my bitcoin other than my wallet.
indeed a third party could be a scam. although the site is reliable and reputable. nonetheless they can control your bitcoin because human nature is greedy. the owner sites can be in blinded eyes and steal all your bitcoin. therefore do not believe in third party and exchange

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

One of the good practice if you are really like to do trades, is by using multiple exchange sites and not only one. The famous quote here in this forum, don't put all your eggs in one basket. At least even at mid percentage this is a safe one.

Well I think that is a good Idea getting multiple site to try if the account sote is great you can never know if it is legit or what but that will totally become gambling more than trading well at least that is the safest way for you to be sure

Nope that is not for trying purposes if the site is great.

By using multiple exchange sites we are playing with the different rates associated with that exchanges.

And take note that trading is gambling too. Smiley

So you lost them, right? because your story is not complete without losing.
this is the end of any gambling story I have read here in the forum. the only winner from gambling are the sites owners

I do gamble but I did not lose most. My biggest mistake so far is that I was stupid enough to invest in some ponzi's.
Where i lost a lot of money. So much there is not much money anymore to make this kind mistakes.

yeah it is appropriate that you should stay away from gambling. you should know that gambling is not your passion mate. your loss proves that you do not fit in gambling. learn from that experience better

I've spent a lot of bitcoin on useless products, and yes it would have been better to buy some real stuff with it instead of crap.
However i think it's human to buy things we don't need.

Yeah its a human mentality that forces him to buy some useless things even if he doesn't need it, like in past I had descent amount of bitcoins I just kept on spending on gambling to multiply it but it didn't worked at all.

Lol yes i did not gamble but i lost some coins by trading altcoins. Investing in the wrong coins.
Coin run by fake developers creating a hype and then all of a sudden dump the price to 0,

How does you know it was your friend in the first place did you meet him here in the forum well I think even if it is my friend I would not give transaction with bitcoin rather I will give it to him personally because you would never know if it is really your friend if you don't see him personally,

But I think that you have learn your lesson.
