A fantastic effort by Pakistan. they bowled really well in which help PAK confined SA to only 164 in their innings. I'm disappointed however, the host didn't have mange enough runs on the board. But I'd like to expresses gratitude toward Shoaib Malik, who appeared as accidental captain. Yes, I agree with you, This team is better off without Sarfaraz!

Well easy win for Pakistan. Good thing that nothing went wrong hehe
All top three batsman for Pakistan performed well. The pitch was not that bad but not sure how SA could not manage to get some runs.

Anyway, Congrats to Pakistan.

At the stage both team have great chance to win the series but Pakistan team have more positive points to get the series win against south Africa team because of last two matches they are done great work in both batting and bowling so I hope that Pakistan going to get the series with thrilling end.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is now about to get into some serious confusion; Malik's captaincy has proved to be way better than Sarfaraz's captaincy seen in the last few matches. There are only a few months left in the world cup, and any major modifications (if made) in the team will literally ruin it all. Top commentators have already started praising Malik's captaincy, and even the Pakistani media is now criticizing Sarfaraz's captaincy and performance. This is not looking good for Pakistan!

It looks like Shoaib Malik is a better captain than Sarfaraz and he has more tactical experience than Sarfaraz and if he could lead the team for the up coming world cup i think they could perform better as a team as they are playing really well with a fairly new players outside the continent. This week was full of surprises, first from West Indies and now Pakistan playing well even though they are unpredictable.
Today we have NZ and India and India is dominating NZ in their home turf and it looks like Hardik Pandya will be back in the team and it is the best time to experiment with players to find the best combination leading to the world cup.

Agreed. Shoaib Malik is more experienced too. I think PCB should consider Malik as captain in the upcoming world cup.
New Zealand top order didn't play good but seems middle order has played nicely today. I think they are going to build a good score. Taylor and Latham is having 102 runs partnership now. I expect a 300+ score here since both of them are set.

What a beautiful bowling by pakistani bowlers. they bawled out south african team on 164 runs. it looks like Sarfaraz ahmed's ban is somekind of blessing in disguise.  Shoaib Malik did good as a acting captain. if Pakistan wins this series under his captaincy then may be PCB can think of him leading the pak team in the world cup.

I don't really mind Shoaib leading the team, after all, he's the most senior player in the team and more importantly very calm person during the pressure. having said that I still believe that Sarfaraz should lead the team in the World. Sarfaraz must talk with former players such as Wasim, Ramiz, Javed etc and ask for guidance.

It is funny. I have seen the golden age of West Indies, I have seen the English team to struggle to get the highest trophy, the domination of Australian team. Sri Lanka to win world cup 1996. I have seen Pakistan to win the 1992 where no one expected it.

Cricket is a funny game.

Indeed, that's why I am very careful about Indian team's form for World cup. one bad patch can create tons of problems for our team. every team looks good and balanced when they are winning the match. 

I started following cricket since early 2000 under Dada's captaincy, but I do have blur memory of India losing against Srilanka in World Cup Semis.

3rd ODI have started between NZ and India and NZ won the toss and batting first. They are 231 for 7 in 47.2 overs. Tylor missed the century by 7 runs and was playing well. NZ would not like to get white wash with the loss of this match.

New Zealand had started a good but at the end they only scored 243, it's sad. India needs 139 runs from 28 overs with 9 wickets remaining. It will easy for India to win. Shikhar Dhawan got out and now Virat and Sharma is on the field. I do not think they will lose more than 1 wicket.

Well said, India is playing good cricket without any pressure as the run required is low. Another thing it has lost only one wicket with two batsmen on the pitch scoring their half centuries. If New Zealand wins it'll be a record as it hasn't won against any country's in this ground other than Sri Lanka.

India is cruising to yet another victory and it looks like they will white wash the series in the form they are playing, Hardik Panday bowled really well after a long lay back and he was phenomenal in the field and the catch off Williamson was a beauty and they could restrict the New Zealand at a par score even though Taylor played a great innings, the bowling is being outstanding for a couple of years and if they could fix the middle order hurdle they have nothing to worry for the world cup, their biggest rival will be the home nation England and if they could surpass that they could life the cup.

Its bad time if you are in Sarfaraz ahmed's shoes. even mother nature is against him lol and his form and behaviour not helping his case too. no one can save him. i heard he got ban for 4-6 matches(may be old news for you)

The quality of Indian players increased a lot in the ages and more precisely after the introduction of IPL tournaments since they got lot of experience from overseas players as well.Now India getting stronger and stronger but they are nit best in pace pitches but managed to win these days.

They used to be scared in bouncy pitches but now this is a different Indian team. It was psychological fight. I used to see Sourav Ganguly to cover himself all over before playing Shoaib Akhtar. India always had this bad record of not doing well in bouncy pitches specially in New Zealand and South Africa.

But after Dhoni things has changed a lot. This new India is not afraid anymore. The bowling department also improved a lot.

It's another debate that bowling quality level and batting mindset changed drastically in world cricket. Or should I say going down. Indian bowling unit doing opposite.

We should not compare previous generation with current generation of players. There was the time when every batsman used to be technical sound no matter be it red ball or white ball .  ball moving or not. But now I don't see any technical sound batsman in world cricket. Except handful players.

If english pitches gets flat in this world cup then india is ahead of every team by miles due to gun batting lineup and tested quality bowlers. Otherwise I have my doubts.

Champions trophy final was just a bad day for india. I considered it as fluke by pakistan with no disrespect. My favs is england and after that india. Australia comes under - underdog- bracket and pakistan as usual unpredictable. Don't have much confidence in proteas and kiwis. They are strong team but still.

South Africa didn't won the world cup yet but they used to be most strongest team of world cricket but now there are much stronger when compared to the old team so chances of making it really questionable for me.

South Africa had their best time when Hansie Cronje (RIP Hansie) was their captain. I saw their best team that time. However I don't understand this South Africans luck. Even when they played their best circket, they could not win the cup. Two times (if I can recall) they were failed to test their nerves and both of the times it was Australia who killed them.

I still remember the semi final where it needed 1 run to go to the final but Allan Donald and Lance Klusener messed it up. Donald did not see anything but just ran for the run where Klusener was still standing. It was a pain to watch.

Lol. I have lost all respect for Sarfaraz due to his recent remarks and I never did like him much to begin with. Shoaib Malik is a way better player in all regards in my opinion.

Not many recognize Sarfaraz when compared to Shoaib Malik which is obvious considering their contributions towards world cricket.

Pakistan are not doing well under Sarfaraz anyway which is why they need to replace him with Shoaib as captain as soon as possible.
