The second day of the test match was a bummer if you are a batsman. Two major collapses in one day, that's what bowler need in any test match.

England is on driving seat in this test match and its not a brainer that they are going to win this test match unless something dramatic happens here. Windies need a couple of miracles.

here, with the bat and ball if they want to fight back.

WI is not looking good in this test match. The batting department failed massively. There were no shadow of last test innings in this test match.

England just need to score couple hundreds runs to win this match. I am assuming WI will be asked to bat on the 4th day which will not be easy for them to bat since the pitch will have cracks.

If England somehow manages to bats all three sessions in the 3rd day, then Windies are looking for a 400+runs chase and winning chances are thin.

But I  don't mind another collapse in the second inning for both teams and let's wrap this match in the 3rd day itself. which is very unlikely but would love to witness that bloodbath if it happens lol

These days we do not see many test match to go to the 5th day. Teams are more into attacking game plan than older times. We used to see long test matches before.

Let's see what happen in this test match. For sure it's not going to the day 5.

I feel sorry for India, it was really a good enjoyable match. Enjoyed it. Well played by both team.
England was 231 for 4 in Day 1 but now lost all of the wickets within 277. What a greate comeback by West Indies.

Happens . So Nz remains the only team which hasn't let Indian team to defeat them  in T20 series . Both teams played really well and it was a treat to watch . We gotto give credits to all Indian batsmen except Dhoni and Dhawan for this match because everyone contributed well.

You need to add Rohit also in this list. Because wasted around 6 overs and made the same score. Then initial hits from the team India is not really well when they started as equally Dhawan also did not played as expected.
We need to appreciate pandya brothers and DK who tried max to taste the winning moment, but unfortunately they did not make it.

Did you really think DK was helping the team. I am not denying the fact that he did score but he was over confident in his judgment. Please read here. India could win the match.

Yes he is a good batsman and just got over confident that he could finish the match by himself forgetting that he is not playing with 10 or 11th batsman but with Krunal who can also hit the ball out of the ground and was batting well on 25 in just 12 balls. Even he would have realized his mistake now.

England needed to bounce back after two poor test matches in a row and it looks like they have and should go onto winning this third and final test match. England have batted a lot better in this test match compared to the previous two and once they reach 500+ runs they should declare and put the WI in to bat. England won't take long to get to 500 so I think we'll see the WI batting sometime in the first session and the question then is can they survive the day?

If the West Indies could bat well in the fourth innings then it can be a draw and England can have a relief that they did not get white washed by West Indies, i am interested to see how England will perform in the one day series before the world cup, i really thought they had a really good team coming into this world cup and i considered them to be in the finals, but with the display in the test series they did not look like world beaters.

I don't see any chances of a draw; England should be able to win this one easily. Two whole days are left, and even with the current lead (which I think is sufficient enough), England will be able to defend it IMO.

England does have a couple of ODI series before the big world cup (the second ODI series is against Pakistan), and the performance of the English team in these ODIs should give us a good signal of how they're going to perform in the world cup.

Make no mistake bro. Test and ODI format are a completely different format. So a comparison of performance in 2 formats is out of the question here, it's another debate that they can win World cup or not. We can argue about that.

Yeah, Was checking the schedule too, Pakistan is lucky here That would be very helpful for the Pakistan team tbh. They will get a head start in the English condition and can prepare themselves well.

Wish Our Indian team can do the same, but IPL is almost there.

Then let WI to bet. 4th day and 5th day the pitch will not behave normal. England will win this match without any doubt.

Not sure enough that England will win. There is a chance for England but if don't declare within 1st session of day 4, it will not be easy. Pitch will not behabe normal but it will not be so tough for WI to play the rest two days. I expect it will be a draw.

In longer form of cricket the people who were batting first have better chance of winning,but I don't know why west indies elected to bowl first,and they face the consequences already with too much of runs to reach in their 2nd innings.

It depends on the pitch condition. The pitch did not look like a bowling pitch to me especially after seeing WI's betting. They just could not score decent run in their first innings. The middle order collapsed massively. 1, 6, 0, 8 looks like a pin code to me.

Agreed. England is far ahead now and there is no record as far as I know that at 4th inning, a team won with such a big chasing. Draw is also not possible for WI at the moment because still 2 days left.

If this was India instead of WI then I could hold my breath and hope that they will play a great innings. The betting dept and experience of Indian team gives me the courage to talk about them so bold. However still it's a lot of run to chase in the 4th innings.
