The Windows video has 500 views and 15 comments including responses, since Dec. Glad to see this higher quality coin still chugging along even if it is still hasn't hit the mainstream quite.

I made a small comparison table between Slimcoin Web2Web and other "decentralized web" services. There may be errors, so please review. Most "competing" services are based on similar technologies - IPFS being the base of several projects, as it offers some key advantages like versioning, but as it is still in alpha state and not supported by mainstream browsers, it has usability limitations. Slimweb can support it later, too. Some of the most hyped services are pretty centralized. Above all, Substratum seems to use a single, "official" DNS gateway. Shift at least gives the option to use the "official" gateway (Jenga) or not, but publishers not using it have disadvantages. Tron, until now, seems to be a simple IPFS clone and far away from complete implementation (they're starting their blockchain at the end of June, but for now it seems a standard cryprocurrency still without "decentralized web" features). MaidSafe seems to be, by far, the most ambitious project - but it's also complex and still not very easy to use as it's an alpha. So I think "Slimweb" can fill an interesting niche ... more so if we implement social networking using Solid standards.

I see you maybe missed this one which is also an old project but also not really known: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1358722.0;topicseen

Done! I also added a note clarifying that the pool is "still not stable". Is this correct? Or is the pool project dead, for now? I considered adding Qora, but I thought then that the "decentralized web" project is too unknown and the cryptocurrency is barely surviving. I consider Qora relatively interesting, as it was one of the first smart contract platforms with turing complete scripting capabilities, so I may add it later - or you can add it, as it's a wiki I remember it's a project where all content is stored on the blockchain, like in Datacoin and Steem, right? In the next days I plan to "embellish" the Slimweb Publisher (aka inscriber.py) a bit, and write a guide for it. I'm still waiting for comments for the "Slimweb" article

Yes, if there is failure in tx, they won't be sent. So nothing to worry about, only preserve your wallet, and priv keys to coins. Tho, it's very hard to make it break (I couldn't do it with numerous restarts of my PC), and I make numerous backups. Besides I'm thinking about sig campaign - I have 50K SLM which was given to me for promotion, and some campaigns. Maybe someone could think about right proportions of it ? And good design of it - more advanced, then my current sig .

This (obviously canned) patronising and sadly ill-infomed response on their website marks them down as safely ignorable: The policy with the dead coin list is, it is hard to get on and hard to get off. Coins and tokens only get added if we think they have a almost 100% chance of failure. As of right now Coinmarketcap has listed this coin inactive. You guys need to get on some exchanges and get some momentum.
Also getting off the list is possible and being on it is not a bad thing if you are just listed for Low Volume like lots of the coins are.
Also lots of the time Scam devs pick up projects listed on coinmarketcap because it is a great place to start. Due to exposure, link juice, referral links.
1) Find a low ranking coin listed on coinmarketcap 2) Buy up large 3) pump the price up with a few updates and some social 4) Sell off
It will not be long before Coinmarketcap and other similar places require a minimum volume to be listed.
Starting a currency is a big responsibility, similar to putting a stock on a exchange. and our dead coin cirtera is fair and unbiased, we have no connection with any of these coins.
Will update the age started.
Cheers
PS if your coin gets in the top 500, we will do a review for it. 🙂
Cheers Graham

You have a case of "UTXO bloat", i.e. have accumulated a large number of small staking tx. When you send 500 SLM, the total is composed of many of these small stake reward txs and that can easily exceed the max number of inputs per tx. Consolidate your small change into larger amounts by sending to yourself - as you are doing - but start small (a few 10 SLM tx) and work your way up. Cheers Graham

Why some wallets cannot be found on the explorer ?
That's a question to bchain service provider... That was one of the problems, which was going to be addressed by Graham's ACME.

Sorry for the lack of information. My mining wallet does not appear (bchain). I sent a small amount into it and now i can see it. I thought that a mining reward counted for a transaction... Something else, my wallet balance does not correspond to the balance into the bchain explorer... K. Why some wallets cannot be found on the explorer ?

I just wanted to access ACME ( http://tessier.bel-epa.com:5064) to know if I could find keliokan's problem, but it didn't work, is it currently offline? (minkiz.co works again). Besides I'm thinking about sig campaign - I have 50K SLM which was given to me for promotion, and some campaigns. Maybe someone could think about right proportions of it ? And good design of it - more advanced, then my current sig . I think it's a good idea - signature campaigns may not be perfect but they can make people try out Slimcoin, and are maybe the only option to pay out campaigners in Slimcoin and not having to change them into BTC or so. However, 50K are not really much - most campaigns pay at least $10 per week for well-ranked users, some as much as $100. The campaign then would have to be limited to low-quality writers, and I think we know that these only produce spam and would add almost nothing to exposure. If paying in BTC is an option - what about a campaign at Anonymous Ads? Non-gambling/Non-NSFW ads are really cheap there (<2 cents per click).
May be relevant for the "Slimweb" audience: - Uganda is charging a " social network tax" of about 5 cent per day (almost $20 per year) to users of centralized services like Twitter and Facebook - Tanzania is requiring bloggers and other web site operators (even Youtube channel operators) to buy a license of about $900 per year (!). Both may not be big markets, but they are examples why a decentralized web alternative is so urgently needed. Not only dictatorships like China are restricting free speech in the Web, also so-called "democracies" are .
