Any news from development

Topics discussed right now include mining rewards, optimizing the difficulty retarget and getting ready for the big releases.

We are currently very low on Nodes, there will be another post addressing that.

As it's stated, it's testnet! Only install if you're a tester!

Website is almost done, block explorer for V2 is functional, it just needs an API for the total supply.
As for the coin itself, we're making progress in every possible way, and we're closer and closer from the relaunch.
Details to come in a better announcement.

We were conducting tests today about simply copy/pasting the keystore folder from V1 to V2 (if you're wondering what is the keystore, it's the folder containing your wallet file(s)). Everything is ok!

Relaunching should be happening in the coming week...

Very close to release, you will se alot of interesting development that has and will happen. Nothing like before, and not seen in any other Ethereum fork. SHIFT is NOT about mergeing code from ethereum code base.

Last release before relaunch! (2.2.1, only for testers!)

https://github.com/shiftcurrency/shift

"Nrg" sounds so much better than "Gas"!

There is no POS protocol available at this moment, however upcoming developments will address POW and combined staking for a viable solution over the medium term.

What can we expected to happen with block rewards will they be lowered ? Looks like they should be to stop the price from falling any lower last week my Shift was worth 20 bitcoin and now it's only worth 12.5  and getting lower .Thinking of just selling it at this point before it gets ran back down

Yes, they will be lowered in 2 phases from 3 to 2 and from 2 to 1.

edit: apparently, a different solution has been found.
