It seems people have more interest in Expanse, but less interest in Shift. Is there any reason for that?

For some reason I found Expanse's thread when it was announced but I missed Shift's . Also, you get to see the bio of every core team member of Expanse, including photo, I guess that's pretty transparent to me.  Lastly, I can't resist its partnership with Microsoft Azure and the strong marketing effect.

I'm putting together a campaign for Digital Ocean to support 1 click $SHF nodes. Check out this:
https://twitter.com/jessecouch/status/713989656346398720
Retweet and Comment. Let Digital Ocean know we want them to support blockchains and that $SHF is the best.

Hey Joint Force,

love to see community activity like yours! You have been a supporter from day one, much appreciated!

I guess that's mainly due to the fact that the price went up a lot. People tend to cheerlead for that Smiley

Also we have to admit our marketing has been lacking a lot but we are happy to say we filled the public relations position lately with a very valuable person.

Hi sotisoti,

we launched a few days before EXP did back in 2015.

As for the member list, a new team introduction paragraph is already done and will be released soon. Please check back after the relaunch!

We can't comment on the Azure partnership, but we are happy for EXP they have come such a long way. They are paving the way for all alternative Ethereum forks, no matter if they were the first or second or third one to launch.

Very true. "Nothing succeeds like success." If Shift leaps up too, you'll be amazed at how popular it will become. Wink

explorer broken

Hey rahmad2nd,

we are aware. The person in charge of the V1 block explorer suddenly left without any advance notice and took the VPS down. We apologize.

Since the relaunch is very close all our efforts are currently directed to V2, we will have a capable and fully functioning explorer ready. An API endpoint for Coinmarketcap will be available.

Currently there are ~3 mill coins mined.

Edit: Had the wrong number on total supply, updated to 3 instead of 2.8 mill.

Thanks for the explanation, I have a few questions. What's the total supply of SWIFT? What algorithm is used for block generation?

No problem Smiley

The algorithm used for block generation is ETHASH, same as Ethereum, as this is the first ETH fork.

Currently we have no maximum supply in mind but we are planning to cap inflation severely before switching to POS.

Please keep an eye on this thread, there will be more info regarding supply, method of distribution and overall inflation in the coming week.

Hope that answers your questions.

P.S.: This is SHIFT, SWIFT is another coin Wink
