If someone have problems with syncing blocks on the current network (what we in shift call version 1 network) you can use these nodes,

https://github.com/shiftcurrency/shift-executables/blob/master/SHIFTv1/shift-v0.4.0/nodes.txt

This is temporary until next week when the relaunch are planned to occur.

This is as simple as copy-pasting your wallet file in the new data folder. Your passphrase will keep working.
We'll provide detailed howtos for each OS, but this is as simple as that.

As for the coins on exchanges, you have nothing to do, since exchanges handle that for you.

That's why I left my Shift on Trex.

Of course not. People will be able to prepare for at least 2 days before, probably 3.

We are asking for some community help. We need people to try out the 2.2.4 release. If you mine with GPU, mine in very very short bursts for a max of 5 seconds. The difficulty is very low. Also we like people to test the over all functionality. The commands within the java script console is, "shf." instead of "eth.". RPC calls are "shf_" instead of "eth_". There are some problems with syncing and virtualbox, be aware of that.

EDIT: do not bloat this thread with errors or successful runs, send them in private. Also make sure that you delete all the former GSHIFT(not Shift) directorys before you test this. DO ONLY TEST IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING. The most easy thing(and the safest) to do is to create another user on your computer, and then run it from there.

I don't know what ETHOS is or how it works, but SHIFT mining does not differ from ETH mining.

Just fill in your pool details (shift.suprnova.cc) and you should be good.

Let me know if it works out!

IMPORTANT NOTICE

We are planning to have the timeline for the relaunch up later this afternoon (GMT).

This will include a time & date for next week when the old chain no longer accepts new blocks. Coins mined after this time will not be eligible for the swap!

Please check back regularly.

Bittrex wallets down again

We'll look into it, thanks for the info!

Seems SHIFT is only marked in the wallet overview as "In Maintenance". The market is live.

We're trying to reach Bittrex.

Without hands on experience I'm not much help.

But did you see this:

# proxypool1 eth-us.dwarfpool.com:8008
# proxypool2 eth-eu.dwarfpool.com:8008

Tried changing that?

UPDATE

We have to apologize for a slight delay.

We were a bit too optimistic, it's the Easter weekend and until now we haven't heard
back at all from Bleutrade since contacting them a few days ago. We also weren't able
to get a reply from Bittrex today so we have to push the final swap details.

What you need to know: the point where the old chain stops will be on Tuesday
(Mar 29) evening (GMT)
. To participate in the swap all you need to do is have your
coins in your wallet or on Bittrex. They confirmed their support in prior conversations.

We will have detailed swap instructions available as soon as possible.

Please check back regularly.

I'm putting together a campaign for Digital Ocean to support 1 click $SHF nodes. Check out this:

Retweet and Comment. Let Digital Ocean know we want them to support blockchains and that $SHF is the best.
