You would also agree that these strikers are not some of the best in Europe currently. Renato Sanches and Paulo Dybala can be rated as average players but Roma shouldn't depend on Romelu Lukaku to get the goals. Lukaku has improved slightly but a team like Roma needs something better. If it was not for the financial constraints the club would have gotten better players. So I will agree with @Docnaster that José Mourinho needs more players to make his work easy. He is still a highly respected coach that many clubs will be willing to hire if he is sacked.

I can imagine what my eye saw, when I watched how Genoa a small Italian club with the market value of just around 5M euros, thrashing the AS Roma whose market value is around 22 million euros. And I'm like what's wrong with the latter club. Why can't Roma at least control and stop some of the goals from happening. The goal margin is just much to me to have find the likes of Romelu Lukaku, at the forward strike, Dybala and other top players playing for the club in the game.

I will say it was a lucky day for Genoa to have the first home win for the season. Roma poorly defended and they gave Genoa's striker too much space. Roma's fans turned against their club chanting at Jose and his players demanding some respect. I think the fans have endured a hard time with five points in six matches. Jose has promised to turn things around and I saw him supporting his players after the game. He is still the special one maybe he will perform some miracles.

The defeat suffered by Roma with a score of 4-1 by Genoa was indeed quite a hard blow for Mourinho. But I personally still can't blame the coach for the poor performance shown by the Roma squad. Because Genoa is not an easy opponent to overcome.

This embarrassing defeat was certainly enough to tarnish the face of Jose Mourinho as Roma coach. This inconsistent performance has put Mourinho's position in the spotlight again, but The Special One is still quite confident and he is responsible for polishing the Roma squad again so they can get out of their downturn.

But it looks like Mourinho's future with Roma is coming to an end and won't be until the end of the season. Even though Roma has added ammunition in the attack line such as Lukaku, this has not been the case with the condition of the back line. That right replacing Jose Mourinho is not the right option, because I don't see that the decline in performance experienced by AS Roma is purely the Portuguese coach fault. Since As Roma has decided not to get Jose Mourinho quality and qualified players how do they expect good results Jose Mourinho on his own too has to upgrade with how he plays and his tactics he needs some upgrades. There is no much difference with how his side plays with that of old.

A defeat that was quite crushing and not really expected for Roma.
They still have the same problems and Mou still cannot fix this even though there are several new players including Lukaku who are on the field in the end they still have to surrender with a score that is quite heavy.
Genoa played very well and they were clever enough to capitalise on quick counter-attacks when Roma weren't really prepared to withstand them as they were too engrossed in their attacking schemes.
With conditions like this I think Mou has lost control of his position and I wouldn't be too surprised with Mou leaving Roma even though the season is still ongoing.

I agree with what you're saying because the expectations that were too high for Roma had a big impact and the performance dropped dramatically.
Honestly I was also one of the people who had high expectations for Roma before but the reality now is very different from my predictions before the season rolled around.

No, I didn't play, it was obvious this season that Roma could not be trusted. José Mourinho could not start the season consistently, and they lost by a large margin against Genoa. Yep. Roma is having problems for quite some years now and I don't think Mourinho can solved it this year or on the next one but I'm afraid Mourinho won't stay another year in Rome if he won't manage to make something decent from current squad of Roma. Also, signing Lukaku was a bad idea right ? I mean , he is a good striker but he is nowhere near what As Roma needs right now and he just looks like an extra man when he is on the pitch... .
