Yes, I think so too. According to various media Bayern Munich seems to be focusing on Sommer. But Mönchengladbach will only let him go once they have found a replacement for him. But with the prospect of a lot of money it is of course easier to get a new goalkeeper.  But this new goalkeeper will probably also have to be bought out of a current contract.

For sure they have to pay some fees and get the Goalkeeper they want out of an existing contract.
And Sommer is the best option i guess , as he knows the German League already now for some years.

Monchengladbach won't just let their important player go, but considering Sommer contract, which is only until this summer of course Monchengladbach also won't want to take the risk of losing their players for free, so it's very likely that Bayern will be able to get Sommer this January.

It depends what kind of contract Bayern Munich will be offer Sommer and also what kind of contract he will be have in Gladbach.
Its possible that Gladbach maybe offers him some nice contract for some years , but Munich will be try to get him for some years too.

I think best is to let him go anyway. He is 34, his contract is about to expire in around 6 months so if you ask me they Gladbach should take the transfer fee out of this deal and get a new goalkeeper. Sommer also might not like if deal collapses as he is 34 and he would prefer to play for a giant in his last years rather than extending for a club he has been playing so much years for.  Sommer is a very experienced keeper and that too with international experience so I think Bayern will give them decent amount of fee for him if they agrees to this.

There are still two weeks until the Bundesliga returns after the break due to the World Cup. This break has been very long for sure. The other European leagues have already started and we have watched many matches. I don't know why they decided to make the Bundesliga fixture like this. This break is just helping Bayern Munich of course. Because Mane is still injured and he is expected to return on early February. He might even miss the first leg of the PSG matchup in the Champions League.

At least this break helps him miss less matches than the expected. Maybe the physiotherapists of the club would manage to make him ready for the PSG match. Because they really need every one of their skilled players in this tough matchup.

I love the long break given by Bundesliga. It is needed for the wellbeing of players, for them to be fit and avoid fatigue. There are lots of competitions across the globe and good players keep playing in every competition and which is negatively impacting team performance and individual performance as well.

Maybe the break is long but the league is going to be back with a really delightful match between Leipzig and Bayern Munich. The recent matches between these teams were really enjoyable as you can remember. We watched so many goals in each one of those matches. I think this is another such match waiting for us. Bayern Munich are back to their usual shape after making a bad start to the season in the league. They are able to score so many goals in a match again after Lewandowski's departure.

Leipzig are one of the most productive teams in the league as well after Bayern Munich. I feel confident about their scoring at least one goal. Considering that I might prefer to bet on both teams to score.

I also believe that Dortmund has that business model, for me it is one of the clubs that have the most to be able to get their hands on the best players, or we can deny that Lewa came out of there, also Haaland, so I don't know If that is as good or better than winning a Bundesliga or even winning a UCL, what I have in my mind is that if we put these things in context, does it make more money to do it like this or by winning? because by winning I know that apart from receiving a very good reputation they can have good rewards to be able to give them to their players and to the club, in addition I don't see a bad thing that they can train them and leave them there for themselves.

I know dude has a potential and he looks like a great future star but paying insane amount of money for him would be a mistake by Chelsea. Plus if Dortmund could get him to sign another contract, he could play there on every single game until he is sold to another club for a huge sum, and he could get to a better place.
Now, he would be going to Chelsea, not a great team now, and be benched there and would probably not be seen by the world much. Staying at Dortmund at this age would be a better idea, so he could get some time and show his skills to the world. But at the end of the day it's something only he could make a decision out of.

The problem is his staying at Dortmund is also not gonna be the best decision in my opinion, because Dortmund is also not able to perform well currently. I also feel like there is no point in performing well in a team that is not going to be successful anyway. I believe that it is not good to win trophies with a team, for which a player did not play at all and had the same time, It is also not very good for a player to perform decently in a team that is not going to be successful eventually.

I am not going to say that his going to Chelsea, is going to be a big problem for him. Because for a player like him, he is going to prove himself whenever he gets the chance.

He is already in Munich and from what i have readed he joined the team and also making the training with them soon.
For sure Blind will fit the gap from Hernandez and he played very well in the World Cup.

We will never see a real competition in the Bundesliga, unless there are clubs willing to spend as much money as you say. If Red Bulls were more generous in their investment, I'm sure the competition we expect will be realized.

there are only a few clubs where players feel comfortable for a long time. but i think leipzig is not one of them .

If a player is showing good potential, and if he is being targeted by bigger clubs, then the only logical destination for him in the Bundesliga is going to be Bayern Munich.

Going to Leipzig when a player does actually have the option to go for Bayern Munich, is absolutely a dumb decision. And I do not think that any player will ever make that decision.

Bayern Munich can look for goalkeepers for a six-month deal also in fact. Because after Neuer returns by the end of the season he would get his place in the starting eleven back from whoever they bring to the team now. They had better bring a player who won't make this a problem or it would be better to sign a short-term deal with a decent goalkeeper. If this goalkeeper becomes a player like Sommer he wouldn't like to be a reserve player at Bayern Munich. It isn't the thing he has been used to until now.

not really a long time, not at all, they literally won the champions league in 2020, but i still agree that the CL is still their main goal, we even seen them struggle in a couple of matches in the budesliga and win their matches in the champions league right after, this shows that the players are more focused in the champions league more, because that's where the real challenge is for them.

It's not wrong when Bayern Munich makes the Champions League a top priority over the Bundesliga, it's only natural when they always win titles every season. Whereas in the Champions League, we know what the competition is like there, just once you make a mistake, you will be punished by being eliminated by another club that is better. For sure Bayern Munich has low odds for this match and both teams to scores could be good option instead of picked Bayern Munich win so i do agree with your prediction and i haven't check the odds yet for this match but probably the odds will be better and statistics showed Leipzig as one of the most productive team along with Frankfurt and Bayern Munich in Bundesliga even if we see Leipzig recent matches records they were always be scoring goals 10 matches in a row in all competition so regardless the result of match between them and Bayern Munich i am sure Leipzig will be able to scores at least 1 goal or could be more depend on their performance later so the option which you recommended is good for me

after union berlin had surprised, now there is freiburg which is surprising too, they only have a difference of 4 points from bayern and have a great chance to shift bayern's position from the top of the standings

In my opinion, Bayern Munich will not want to hire an old goalkeeper.  Maybe they can think of it as a backup goalkeeper, but they can sign one of the younger and potential players.  Bayern definitely need a goalkeeper after Neuer.  I think this will be a young and potential goalkeeper, not Sommer.

Of course, this is no stranger to football fans, the most famous of the Bundes leagues is Bayer Munchen, which has won 6 Champions League titles in history and is third in the standings for the most wins in the Champions League. So it's only natural that the players who play at Bayer Munchen feel proud and show their best performance.
Even so, I don't think I can convince myself that the winner of the Bundesliga will be Bayer Munchen for now because Freiburg and Leipzig have been playing quite well recently and there is still a chance for them to catch up because of the difference in points with Bayer Munchen is not too far.
