Between the main competitors (I think everyone understands that Bayern and Dortmund are 99.99% contenders for the title) there are only three points and this is really amazing (at least for me). 20 rounds have already passed and I expected that by this time Bayern would occupy a position similar to that of Napoli in Serie A. And I also criticized Dortmund a lot, considering that the second place was far from guaranteed by them - at the beginning of the season the forecast came true, but after the World Cup Dortmund played much better and soon that forecast will be irrelevant.

The shameful part in today's 1.Bundesliga games is the humiliating defeat of M'Gladbach with 4 goals! They were able to score early a goal then KO'ed by Hertha with 1 goal in the first half and 3 in the second half.. Hertha hardly win games
For Koln - Frankfurt, everything was expected as outcomes but 3 goals to 0, that was strange!

There was a bit of a surprise in this match because Freiburg had quite a hard time facing Stutgart's defense, which was quite tight, fortunately there were 2 penalties that saved them in this match.
On the other hand, I am quite happy with this result because I saw them actually, even though I bet quite confidently at the end of the first half, luckily the results were very good.

This is unexpected I guess. Because indeed I thought it would be a draw but the fact is that in this match Frankfurt was completely destroyed,
The match was actually quite balanced, it's just that Koln really took advantage of the opportunities very well in this match. They were also able to dampen the midfield from Frankfurt, even though in terms of possession they lost.

Frankfurt had a really bad day today. This was one of their worst performances in the league this season. They were really weak in defense which resulted in a 3-0 loss.

Koln's first goal came thanks to a free-kick and a header after. It was an interesting goal actually because it seemed first like the ball didn't touch anyone and was directly in the net. The second goal was a really funny one.    Two Frankfurt defenders collided with each other which made things easier for Koln attackers to score. The Hertha victory was very strange, the whole match they were inferior in everything, but not in goals. The result of this match was definitely a surprise for me, but i also have to say, that it also did not come completely out of the blue. Just look at the performances of FC Cologne after the winter break so far. They have not lost a single match yet, even though they were also playing against Bayern Munich for example. So they are definitely one of those teams that have a strong momentum on their side.
Frankfurt also was on a pretty good run so far after the break but today it just did not work out for them. Frankfurt had a slightly higher ball possession so it was not like Cologne completely dominated the game. They just were more effective and were able to create more good chances out of of their possession. Sometimes you have days like that.

In this season I think the fight for the Bundesliga title will be more interesting than the previous season, because up to the 20th match that has been played by the Bundesliga team it is clear that the first and second and third places are quite close in points. I think Bayern are still a strong candidate but Dortmund are secretly following them in the standings table.

I think they have to change their game in every upcoming match because there are still many games left to improve their form.

I know that the points are very close to each other and we could always see a situation that is unlike the other seasons where Bayern just won by a lot of points. However, I am still not fully convinced that it won't be like that this season neither.

Bayern could still very much be the champions and they could very well beat everything as well. They just need to refocus and try to be better, if they can do that then we are talking about a team that is capable and has the talent to beat everyone in the league and should be able to do that with ease. I am not saying they will do it, we don't know, but I am saying they are still by far better than anyone else.

For both team between Bayern Munich and Dortmund have good result in this weeks actually having important match in UEFA Champion League up coming three days later. I think Bayern Munich and Dortmund have good capital before facing opponent team in Champion League and make Bundesliga team keep dominance on Champion League.

I think consistency will be the key to winning the Bundesliga trophy this season, with all contenders keeping very close gap from themselves it is difficult to ascertain who will win at this stage.
