Borussia Dortmund is a very good team. This is a team that have transfer structure, they don't just spend on player that don't worth. Though right now the club is going through a rehebilation process . They brought in Sébastien Haller, who scored couples of goals for the team .

Dortmund is actually one of the best teams in the German Bundesliga; they are always rated behind Bayern Munich due to their quality players and their experimentation in the league.

My only problem with Dortmund is their lack of consistency in keeping their star players in the team; they always mean business because if you offer them money for their best player, who is very important to the team, they will sell the player without having several thoughts. That is why Bayern is always rated above them in the Bundesliga. But right now, the team has signed some players and is building back their team in order to be a strong opponent for Bayern and other teams in the league.

Moreover they have the like of Marco Reus  who is an excellent player to the team so I see them going far in the German Bundesliga this season and also in the UEFA champions league. Possibly winning it.

 
Having players like Marco Reus does give confidence in the team, and they are yet to lose any match, just that they drew two and won just one so far in the competition. I still see them among the title contenders this season because they have been doing it for several years, and I am sure this season will be another one.

I don't believe Sébastien Haller will be a product of Dortmund like Haaland. The quality of the two is quite different. In the 3 matches at the start of this season, Sébastien Haller has not scored or assisted. he is indeed an option in Dortmund's attack line. But at his current age, Sébastien Haller probably won't have a name as bright as Haaland.
Dortmund is indeed famous for the player business they produce with good quality. However, they always produce big names from their clubs.

Indeed that is the truth and Haller is just a striker who has been good enough to fill the striker position since last season. It is unlikely that he will be able to match Haaland and as the only striker with a high stature in Dortmund, he should be able to contribute again like last season and bring Dortmund back to victory. You will never be able to produce the same player as haaland again. Haaland was haaland and there would never be a copy cat for haaland. You'll be suprised how You'll see them at the top four in the middle of the season or towards the end, one thing i like this team is that, even when they're not fully inform they'll always look for a way to quality for the Champions league and if you noticed them last season they were very competitive and almost won the league, anyways they're still unbeaten this season and even though they got two points from the matches they drew it's still better than losing both matches which would had probably landed them at 16th or so, i believe the league just started and they've only played three matches and just four points away from the first and second position Stuttgart and Leipzig who're in the 3rd and fourth position are just gaping them with a point which is very easy for Dortmund to meet up to and i believe that after the international break we'll see a different Dortmund again Frieburg,  and hopefully they'll win the match even though they're playing from away.

In terms of mentality, perhaps Borussia Drtmund in the Champions league does not have great readiness, even in the Bundesliga, Dortmund is unable to appear consistently for reasons that I dont need to mention and we can all know that this club always sell it reliable players so there is no excuse if they fail to compete in the group F because they have to compete with top clubs from other leagues which are much stronger in terms of performance and to compete with Newcastle might be more difficult especially if they have to compete with Paris SG.
I am not saying Borussia dortmund are bad but in reality it too early for dortmund to be able to qualify for the round of 16.
