Yeah Dortmund could have been even the strongest team in the Bundesliga and a huge threat in the Champions League every year as well. But they didn't keep nearly all of these players here.

The explanation for it is simple. This is their policy. They bring young talents, these players grow and then they get offers from bigger teams. Dortmund doesn't refrain from selling them by a big profit.

Some of them went because of a release clause though otherwise they could have made even bigger profits from those players (such as Haaland).    Dortmund don't win titles much but they still make huge sum of money thanks to player sales.

To imagine that all these top players have played in Dortmund before they moved to their respective clubs now is to send much accolades to the club for its great efforts in sighting and acquiring young talents in their team. At a time, Arsenal was like this but looking at this big XI, for a club like Dortmund in the Bundesliga league to have groom such players, you've got to give them a lot of respect for that. Let's not forget to include the impact of Jurgen Klopp in the Liverpool after leaving Dortmund and how he had also groomed the Liverpool squad to face a tougher atmosphere for the subsequent seasons.

If this is an ideology that's adopted by the Dortmund management for now, I will really admire that courage to be able to figure out young talents that will make big names and also using that avenue to build their financial capacity. It's good to create an enabling environment for players to come and thrive and to also use that avenue to grow your finances especially if you don't have much to work with.  It should not just be able to trophies all the time when the club is over stretched with financial crisis like seen in Barcelona recently.

Everything that is being discussed here now is just speculation, nothing more, because it is not known how Kompany will be able to manage Bayern, but everyone is used to Bayern not giving up their advantage in the Bundesliga for a long time and therefore expect that this time everything will return to normal. At the same time, the performance from Bayern Munich was pretty average. actually, it has been average for two or three seasons. they were just very lucky to not lose the Bundesliga title to any other club. probably because the other clubs like Dortmund were unable to perform well enough. but anywhere they have finally lost the Bundesliga title. and now they will have to work very hard to actually get the title again.

A lot of people probably do not know that Kompany actually brought his previous club Burnley to the English Premier League by actually getting a promotion with the club. but after that, it was not possible for him to actually keep them in the English Premier League. people probably don't know that and start thinking he was a coach who brought his club down the relegations on and got them relegated. he is actually a good coach and I think with a squad like this he will be able to do a good job.

Life is not reverting back and use many assumptions like this. Dortmund succeed with their strategy to build up their team with young players around the world, then sell them with high transfer prices and repeat the cycle. They did not win many titles recent years but maintained their position good enough in Bundesliga and Champions League.

BUT! the point here is that they had so many stars in their team, and looking at how much money they made from selling these players, and I am looking at just the last five years, and they are in profit, and where is all of that money? They are not spending it back, this team is like running as if it was a company, trying to make a profit.

That's not how it works, teams spend more on transfers than they get, because they also have other income like tv rights and merchandise and tickets etc etc. It means that they should be able to actually make some profit from other stuff that they put on top of their sales and that's what they spend on transfers.

Dortmund isn't like that, their income from transfers is higher than their spending and that makes no sense to me, look at how many amazing players they had in their history, many of them gone just recently, hell Jude himself is just 100 million, and yet when you look at what they did with that money, it is nowhere to be found. What are they doing with all of that money if they are not spending that money on buying up players?

In fact, they don't seem to have any intention of winning the league because they always sell their best players. But it seems that Dortmund has become a business-oriented club. As long as they are not bad in the League and have an advantage then they will not be a problem. It seems that supporters are also not too fanatical about the champion.

Yes indeed, it seems like Dortmund fans are not too fanatical about Dortmund getting a trophy because so far,  Dortmund fans have remained fine in supporting Dortmund in every match. You make a good point this team was very close to the relegation zone in the 2022-23 season. The Stuttgart team was at the 16th place in the points table. Had Stuttgart not won the last match, the team would not have qualified for 2023–24. No one would have imagined that such a team would finish second in the table last season.

In the last season, the attacking players of the Stuttgart team have performed well. I would say it was amazing. We have seen a sudden improvement in this team. Stuttgart scored only 45 goals in the 2022-23 season, but Stuttgart's players managed to score 78 goals last season. Stuttgart was able to occupy the second place in the table due to the change in match strategy and the excellent performance of the attacking players.

They played a different way from how they played last season. I don’t think they are the favorite this season. I think Teams now have more understanding of the Bayer Leverkusen style of play tans Xabi Alonso's tactics than last season when they took everyone by surprise. It won't be as easy as last season but they won't fall behind too much..

Bayer Leverkusen are not going to be a powerhouse in the Bundesliga all of a sudden, so I do not expect another league, but they have to be in the mix. I know this is only pre season matches but Xabi Alonso should be evaluate these results and analyzed Leverkusen weaknesses because if Leverkusen unable to performing well then i am sure they will be failed to defend their title however Leverkusen still have 1 friendly match against Betis on Saturday and let see it later whether they can able to bounce back or Leverkusen will be failed to win again

Thus I think the Bundesliga will get good attention for football fans not only about Munich but how other clubs want to bring down Munich of course this will be a good reference in the Bundesliga next season, I hope the competition that occurs is also more solid for them and of course presents increasingly competitive matches like other top European leagues.
