I agree with you. I usually tell people that if you're playing against Leverkusen and you hold them to a draw in, don't get excited that you've got yourself a point until the game's over because they've been known to pull the rug from under teams in dying minutes. I always had this confidence that Xabi will collect three points in their first game and they did it with so much finesse only them could be capable of doing.
 This performance by them has left an open challenge for the other big boys and if there will any competition, these clubs will have to win with three points. Dortmund did theirs yesterday, we'd be looking forward to the likes of Bayern and the rest.

I agree with you. If Leverkusen's performance is stable this season, Leverkusen has a great chance to win the Bundesliga title again. Because Leverkusen's main rival Bayern Munich is not in a good position. Kompany has yet to stabilize this team. Obtaining victory in the first match of the season is always a good one and this gives club courage, motivation and hope of winning the next game and more... But winning the first match doesn't determine how far a club will go sometimes because some club are still building up and learning some club pattern of play. Leverkusen is a team that does not accept defeat and can turn the game around in their favor on the last minute of the match. If you are leading them with one goal don't be happy until the final whistle, and if you are on a draw don't feel it is over until 90 minutes because they can shock you and steal all three points from you.
