Leverkusen played well in that match, but they couldn’t avoid the defeat.

My prediction is that Borussia Dortmund will win.

Yesterday we saw match of DFB-Pokal and that was good match because both teams did good effort to win this match but winner was Bayer 04 Leverkusen football team. That stats was not good but tried to do goal in this match and opponent team defense was not strong and they could not stop the ball and we saw good game . The shots of Borussia Dortmund football team were more in this match and these were 15 and 3 shots were on target and possession percentage of that team was also brilliant in this match which was 67 percent and opponent team possession was 33 percent . Maza was a person who did goal in the first half of the match and he did this goal at 34 minutes of the match . The shots of Bayer 04 Leverkusen football team were less in this match and these were only 7 and  2 shots were on target.

Leverkusen can recover fully and become like when they had Xabi Alonso as their coach the current manager is going a great job in the team and the numbers of games he has helped the team to win shows that he could do more or they sign more players for him next season. I was expecting less from them because of Bayern Munich’ current performances and they also been performing this season but Union really showed that they always look stronger against big opponents. I don't think it's a decline in performance, it's just that Bayern Munich is saving their energy for more important matches, because in the next few days they will face VfB Stuttgart and then Sporting CP, they are maintaining the physical and mental condition of their main players for these two crucial matches which are more decisive for their ambitions in the Bundesliga and Champions League, so they prevent burnout and injuries as much as possible, especially with key players who need rest to maintain peak performance when it truly matters. while Union Berlin played with nothing to lose, even though in the end they lost, they put up a strong fight and made Munich work harder than expected.

For me this game says a lot more about where Bayern are heading rather than Union "overperforming".

Union being bad in the league but nasty to big clubs - is exactly their thing. Their style scales up. When they go into battle with a giant, they don't go and try to "play", they turn it into a wrestling match - long balls, throws, set-pieces, 50/50s. That's kryptonite for teams like Bayern and Chelsea that want clean and pretty possession football.

Look at the week as a package:
Leeds tear into Chelsea. Union tear into Bayern. Same idea, different leagues. The only real difference is outcome. Chelsea get they what the performance deserved. Bayern don't - because of two own goals and Neuer + time-wasting just enough at the end.

And this is where I'd be a bit harsh on Bayern: take away Musiala, take Pavlovic away in the middle of the game, stick them on a bad pitch and all of a sudden there's no real open play threat. That's not what a "machine" looks like, that's what a team on a hot-streak looks like.

Your point of if Union led first, Bayern maybe don't win is I guess where I kind of land. If Union ever get the scoreboard to match the xG in these fixtures, Bayern are in trouble. And in Europe there is Union's "template" what Arsenal already did to them: same chaos, just with better players.

So yeah, entertaining cup tie big respect to Union - but underneath, this felt like Bayern living on borrowed time, not showing off their power.

The talk about recovery made it seem like they are in some very terrible situations, ordinarily on a cumulative, Leverkusen is an average team, the erra of xabi was more like an icing on the cake but we just know that the actual form of this team is average and except there be a prolonged dimensional alterations, it will only be temporary for them to stand out at some point but will later retreat to their Normal.  I agree that the coach is doing a good job with Leverkusen, hopefully they will be able  to get back to the form they were when they had xabi.

Yes, the defeat wouldn't have been surprising, except it happened two seasons ago. I don't think Leverkusen's performance this season has been particularly good. This season, they've lost three of their 12 matches, unlike last season, when they lost three in a single season. The loss of several key players has significantly reduced Leverkusen's quality. I don't currently see Leverkusen as a contender in the Bundesliga. But I can't say Leverkusen are a bad team. It's not even halfway through the season yet. So, we need to wait a few more matches to see how all the teams perform. Honestly, I'm still looking forward to Stuttgart and Frankfurt's performances because I think they should be able to qualify for the Champions League.

In last few weeks, Bayern Munich visits Union Berlin second time, in first game they held by 2–2 and in second game Bayern Munich hardly managed to win with the score of 2–3. No doubt Union Berlin is in bottom half but in both game they played competitive soccer against leaders.

At the end of first half, score was 1–3 but in second half Union Berlin was more competitive and never allowed visitors to score goal, with this potential they have good chance of staying into middle of league table but they still needed better attack for having preferred results against top teams.

It's not a sign of Bayern Munich's decline, in cup matches, the big teams don't go all-out, which is why we don't see the big scores we should see. Today, in the Copa del Rey, Villarreal played against a team from an unknown Spanish division. They failed to win at FT, winning the match on penalties, which is absurd considering their good form in La Liga.

Has their performance declined? not, it's just that their priority isn't on that particular match & they've chosen to field players who haven't played often for the manager's experimentation purposes.

Not the kind of performance that one could expect from the Bayern side but it's a very good result for the German champions as they continue to extend their unbeaten run in domestic football after conceding their loss in all competitions this season to Arsenal in the UCL.Union Berlin made a lot of mistakes in defence, they conceded two own goals in this game which was very detrimental to their performance against Bayern Munich, if they had not conceded those own goals then the result would have been different.

I think you are absolute right, Bayern Munich are really focusing on Champions league and the Bundesliga that is why they didn't play well against Union Berlin in the cup,  with how Bayern Munich play there last game he will be very difficult to get the trophy. Kompany is ready to fight for the league and ucl and am sure they have get the opportunity to win the league already because they are topping the league and I don't think they will get any club that will challenge them currently in the league competition.

The only problem now is the Champions League is not easy to achieve for Kompany, because they have many touch club in the competition, and arsenal have been dominating the competition already and we can't says they will win the Champions League but they are among the best club to win it. They have not lost any game in the ucl and they topping the league table after the group stage we can predict if the club will win it or not.
