My question to you is, why do you say they are similar? yet,  one has a clear deep v shaped capitulated bottom, while in the most recent one, a period of up and down sideways flat action before going up.

I doubt that. Assuming that the bear market ended in January 2015, the time to bottom was about 5x longer than in 2011.
So IMO in a bullish scenario, this looks more like January - February 2012, the rally to 7$ and correction to 4$.

Well at least two of us have noticed similarity in those regions so I would say yes they are similar.

What I see when looking at both of those regions is a rounded bottom followed by mini-bubble spike up in which price then corrects in a mini dead cat bounce.

Last time it was prelude to huge bull moves, this time, maybe again. But who really knows?

For some balance to the price action, it looks like the Weekly charts needs a bit of up to test lost "supports", but the 4D charts looks like more down first.
