@AgentCash

I think your situation is being taken care of as I post if I think the case is what I think it is.  Sent you a PM, please let me know.

Can't disclose the details of the transaction here but more than likely you will receive unopened boxes if this is the same case I'm thinking of. (There may be 1 box that's been opened but it should be to validate unit in functioning state)

P.S:  we can understand you being worried and very much so but please be patient with UPS at the moment as situation is being dealt with.

Thank you!

Why do you pick and choose what inquiries you will respond too on these forums. Here we are spending thousands, some of us hundreds of thousands of dollars and you guys dont have the decency to respond fast. Do you not understand that with bitcoin mining companies fast customer service is a MUST. I get better customer service when I bought a $100 computer off ebay. Hell i get even better customer service when I buy a $20 toy at target or a $6 shirt at ross. Arent you guys ashamed of yourself. Alittle bit goes a LONG way in customer service and you guys cant even put out a little bit

Just saw 1 S7 reporting 2 cards with 45 Chips and 1 Card with 20 Chips and Hash rate was crap.  Reboot fix the issue but that was concerning and weird.  Anyone else ever see these issues or am I just very lucky?

I wouldn't be overly concerned with it.  I've had this occur with many units from S3, S4, S5 and now S7.  Just seems to happen from time to time for whatever reason.
This is one reason I've written scripts to check hashrate and reboot miners if it falls under a specified hashrate.  I would keep an eye on it though.  The S7-B8 boards that i've had fail, all
seem to exhibit this more than others until they no longer came back with a reboot nor a complete power cycle.  Bitmain had me test each individual hashboard that I've had fail - and interestingly enough 2 of my 3 bad boards show 48 chips at the GUI.

I do notice that since I set all my fans on manual (60% for me) that the miners are much
more stable (don't crash) than they were on auto. When pools go down the fan speed stays up.
Stable temperature seems to be very helpful.

My order for Batch 9's will be shipping soon(ish)... I don't have any of these "newer" style S7's to reference, I just have batch 3's

From what I'm reading, the controller board is not fully populated on these later batches?  True or false?

The "newer" hashboards now have a buck circuit? True or False?

Can someone take a closeup pic of the new fangled power circuit area with that big inductor? If you can also list the IC part numbers... that would be appreciated.

Lastly....

Does anyone have schematics of the S1 through S5 models of Antminers?

I think it's good they keep most in form of email or tickets.  They are being safe on what info is released so a customer info is not shared with whole world.   Even on one they answered they make sure to keep party secret besides one who posted.

If you have a question I suggest email.  I have had pretty good luck with it myself it's been a while since I have needed it but it treated me well.   So I would suggest if you want anwser in most cases send email or ticket over posting in forum asking for official support.  Forum is going to be more 3rd party support from other users.

Someone did above but the reason you will not find many is it actually voids warranty.  On mine there were little stickers to show if miner was opened and boards could be pulled out.

They did not look super tamper resistant so someone might be able to put it back together without anyone knowing.  But this is reason I think you are not seeing many post this.

Big discussion on this further back in the thread, starts about here.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1165628.msg13296566#msg13296566

Carries on over several pages, interspersed with other discussions, you will have to pick your way through it.

He's just trying to see how much quicker the B8 shipped compare to the B9 to see if it was worth the premium difference.

For mos B9 will be better at the cheaper price as some have already reported getting B9's and are lucky.   The ones who are not so lucky could be twords the Feb 5th date with 10 day's range, then the 5 after before it's considered late.

I think most will go B9 at this point.  But I could be wrong.

Ahhhh, I see.  This will be a good evaluation.  I just made an order today for B9s; proving your point of "most will go B9s".

Yep it's just getting so close between the two it's hard to justify the extra.  With saving money I think most will go B9, and in next 5-6 day's B8 should be down.  And there B9 will current.

It's there I will find something interesting.  I want to see if they do a 10 for a month off or what batch 10 will look like.

Just want to say my miners were delivered today and appear to be running without any problems. Thanks to the mining company that mistakenly got them for taking good care of them & thanks to Bitmain for helping relieve my worries.

Glad to hear it all worked out!  I didn't think a company dealing with that many would take time to mess with you.  But glad to hear it confirmed.

Having a good story is always better in the end for all parties of a deal.

Anyone have experience using the S7 in an upright position where it's sitting on a wire shelf with the exhaust fan pointing to the ceiling and the intake fan at the bottom?  I'm hearing that this would increase the risk of the heat sink falling and burning out the boards but when I look at the pictures of the internal, regardless of what position there will always be some heat sink that will be in a vertical position.  Any other reason why I should avoid this particular configuration?  Intake air wont be block as it's wire shelves below have plenty of gaps for air.  My goal is to point all the exhaust fans to the ceiling Vent for better efficiency.
