I just went to an S7 and had a look at the Control board [Which consists of the BB board and IO (daughter) board]. I see this now. I prefer to be able to purchase both and not just one. I want extras for the future in case of failure.
Worth remembering that you can plug and run 2 x S7 (6 Hash Boards) off a single controller, so worth owning a set of longer cables to enable an easy plug up in the event of a failure. Rich The S7s have to be from the same batch correct in order for you to be able to join them together? This is due to the various frequencies say between batch 7/625 and batch 8/700.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

He is also supposed to receive a pallet of S5 refurbished and checked by Bitmain guaranteed without any dead chips I reported all his auctions with miners. unfortunately, we can't add a comment when reporting to Ebay, so I can't tell them what to check. Selling each S5 at EUR 338.00?!?!? Too high for an S5 and too low for an S7, doesn't make any sense to me, and because of that, I'll pass it, too much pita to get my money back. That's a good price for an S5 in Europe, but not as good as his S7. That is £228 wheras an ebay S5 will get at least £300 & often £350. I will be selling mine soon, so hope it stays that way. However this is academic as it's a SCAM. Rich For sure scam, look at his feedback history, all BS little amounts to get feedback, all he is selling now are miners, with LONG lead times, delivery times etc. Gets him the longest possible time to get the money out of paypal, and prob linked bank account. Then just walk away, close bank accounts etc. Since his account is older and I bet has had paypal for a while, then they will not hold the funds and he can spend on Paypal card or xfer to bank. Buyers will not start filing claims till mid to late Feb and by then he is long gone.

Agreed, but even better for him if someone pays him with BTC. He's really got you then. BY THE WAY, his item has been taken down by eBay.

do not trust much of paypal and ebay are now 2 thieves, if you sell honestly, is the buyer after the goods arrive, it states that the object sold does not match, or come and the other object, paypal or ebay they take away money and to account to the buyer, as they did with me, I have taken the money, and I have not even sent the goods back, now I have a debt with paypal more than 1000 Euros, plus my account blocked paypal and ebay . then open your eyes, I took 2 scams on eBay, one from Austria and one from Russia, and I do not know if these guys are here in the forum

Woke up and found 1 S7 having network issues but the S7 is not beeping nor showing Red. It wasnt a pool issue as it didn't failoever either. Just not pingable and not hashing to the pool. Had to reboot it to get it working again. All lights were showing green just not blinking green on the controller. Anyone seen similar issues?

I have 4 of the Ultra Kaze fans. They're very quiet and strong but I don't think they're anywhere as powerful as the S7 fans which can do up to 4500 RPM vs 3000RPM. I'm using the Ultra Kaze to cool my IBM 2K PSU. I think you can use it for the intake fan as you don't need 4500 RPM for that but I wouldn't recommend replacing both fans unless your operating environment will always be very cool temperature. You can get a good idea by manually setting the fan speed where the S7 drop to 2500-3000RPM or below (40% or less) and see how hot it runs. If the S7 still runs within acceptable temperature range then the solution may work for you. Just remember right now is winter so it's easier but once summer comes, things will change.

Be Careful with fans. This fan that you are referencing is 133 CFM. The fan on the S7 is 185 CFM. It will be quieter, but provide less cooling. You can also do this with the existing S7 fan by reducing the fan speed in the control panel "Miner Configuration - General Settings - Customize the fan speed percentage" by checking the box and entering the % into the box: 65% = 4120 60% = 3980 55% =3840 50% = 3720 45% = 3480 40% = 3120 35% = 2760 30% = 2520 25% = 2500 20% = 2000 Hope this helps.

I think the stock fan is actually 250CFM. The Kaze wouldn't be good enough unless ambient is fairly low.

Three reasons are: 1) power sucker uses the most power. 2) cooling improvements level off above 4200 rpm 3) much more likely to burn the controller out due to higher power use at 100%. Also The manual setting of 50% or greater will keep the miner safe from internet drop outs in most cases.

my solution The Lamptron CF525 is the spiritual successor to the FC2 classic and powerful. The CF525 provides a whooping 60w per channel through its five channels for a total of 300W for the power hungry. To put it in perspective, this controller is able to control 10x of the infamous fan Delta AFB1212GHE-CF00 at full speed, at the same time (2 per channel). These fans require 29.5W / 4.5A each, which is 24.5A / 295W draw in total! With CF525 we can safely say you will only ever need a system controller regardless of the number of cooling solutions you choose to use in terms of power needs. For your consideration, the Lamptron CF525. No Frills, just power. TECHNICAL FEATURES: Dimensions: 148.5 mm * 42.5 mm * 76 mm (5.25 "Bay) Output power: Up to 60 watts per channel control channels: 5 channels Panel Available Color: Black anodized / Silver DC input: + 12V (1pcs MOX4.2 5557-2 * 4p PCI-E 8 pin connectors Aka GPU). DC Output: 12V DC 0V- Connectors: 5 X 2510-3pin connectors / 8pin adapter 3xMolex) Recommend PSU power: 700W or higher. And 'imperative that no multipliers are used to connect the molex molex adapter 3 suplied. Characteristics The most powerful of the controller on the market 60w per channel High-quality materials 5 independent fully 60W / 5A channels Other great features! I just adjusted all of my S7's to 50% manual fan per your recommendation. Two of my batch 8's also had to have their frequency reduced to get their temperature to 65 C or lower. One of them I had to reduce the frequency to 650 MHz. The other to 687 MHz. I'm all about taking care of these rigs to hopefully increase longevity of the blades and the controller. EDIT: The odd thing is the ambient is approximately 11 C. Yet, two of them had to have their frequency lowered to reduce temperature. I personally believe batch 7 was the best Batch of all the S7's. At least from the one's I have. I have Batch 1, Batch 5, Batch 7 and Batch 8. My Batch 7 at factory 625 MHz is hashing at 5,055.92 GH/s with 0.0025% HWE's and fan at manual 50% with 3,600/3,350 RPM's on the fans with 54, 49, 48 temps on the blades.
