I don't think the S7's have a speaker to notify you when the internet connection goes down. I may be wrong but I though that's how they designed them.

The S7s make some real noise when the internet goes down, not sure where it comes from but it definitely does it..

This could be the beginning of historical wave 3.  IF it is historical wave 3, it is usually the biggest wave of 5 historical waves.  Each wave normally takes several years.  So, historical wave 3 will last at least to 2018, if not 2021.  We can see Historical wave 3 top out anywhere from $30,000 to $250,000; depending on how many years it lasts.

Bought a S7 from Batch 5 I have two EVGA Supernova G2 1300 watt PSU's I want to use with it the question is The S5 when using one PSU only measures 11.88v on the PCI-E Connectors when Under full load "HASHING" no overclock does anybody think if I use two PSU's on the S7 will it give me a problem ?

Question 2: what does the S7 do when it don't get enough voltage does it BURN UP like the S5 ?

Question 3: Are there any 1500 watt 12vdc to 15vdc variable output server PSU's out there if so what's the link ?

Hmm that PSU is 87% efficient.

But S5s "burned up" if you ran them with too low of volts?  Interesting.

I have my old Rosewill Lightning 1300W PSU running my 4.66TH S7, seems to be doing fine even though I only have a dedicated 20A 120V circuit.  PSU outputs 12.18V under full S7 load!

I have been running my nine b1's for roughly twenty days and have been adjusting the temps to find variance over week sample sizes. If I run them between 40-50 I get an average of 43.10 th/s, but if I run them between 50-58 I get around 44.37 th/s. Seems like an odd correlation, am I high, not in the temperature sense?

nice summary. honestly, i looked at trading view and got lost in graphs. i agree that it is wave 3.

dmwardjr had a post on why it is possible (something to do with electrical properties of materials at different temperatures).
From a historical perspective, not a surprise since Jupiters had the same shtick.
People even plugged openings in the boxes.

I pulled the buzzer off on mine, and if you're careful it may actually be replaceable as the pins also come out. You'll likely void your warranty etc etc.

The sweet spot for me balancing hw errors and th/s is around 53, which goes against everything I know about electronics. The rev 1.4 boards I have are perfect at 51, the rev 1.5 boards are perfect at around 52 and the 1.6's are perfect at 53. I will dig for those threads since those temps will likely (?) not be good for longevity. Naturally, I can only get around those temps by observations since I use CFM since I live in Texas, but color me concerned balancing short term profitability and longevity.

I will dig for those threads.

The v1.4 , v1.5 and v1.6 boards you are referring to, is that the revision number that is printed ~ON~ the circuit board just under the molex connector? ...or... is that the revision number that is on the Antminer sticker found atop the logic board housing?

On my miners, the circuit boards have v1.5 printed in white whereas the Antminer sticker on the logic board housing state v1.8 ... I think you can see my confusion that needs clarification.

A small squirt of silicone sealant in the soundhole of the peizo element effectively hushes the loudness, but allows just a minute amount of audible tone to alert you if you are really close by. This probably would not void the warentee, but who knows. I'd live with it till the warentee dies, then do a tear down for cleaning of which, if it was bothering me, I'd de-solder the piezo element to PROPERLY disable the noise without stressing the circuit board.

You could always look into grabbing a router that has failover capabilities..... and tether your data connection to your cellular phone -- if one connection fails, it automatically switches to the back up connection.

I have something similar here. I have my cable connection, redundant #1 is the near by golf course's free WiFi ( they use DSL ), and redundant #2 is is a Virgin Mobile Cellular Hotspot.

I have seen several references in this forum to Antminers burning up from undervolting.  Can anybody confirm this from personal experience--especially with the S7?  In my experience with several different miners, undervolting too far can cause temporary instability and / or cores to shut off but I have never heard of any unit getting permanently damaged from undervolting.
