I'm rooting for Peter Svidler! I like his commentary on chess24 and he's a down to earth kinda guy. If he doesn't win I hope that Viswanathan Anand or Hikaru Nakamura take it.

Peter Svidler is a great commentator and I like him but I think he will be a long shot. I like Anand too but he has already been world champion so I will root for someone new. I hope Aronian, Nakamuru or Giri will win. I like the playing style of Aronian and Nakamura. Giri plays a lot of boring chess but I like his personality. Giri has the best record of any of the players against Carlsen. Nakamura plays exciting chess but has done very poorly against Carlsen. If I have to make one choice I will choose Aronian. He plays interesting chess and seems to be a relatively though challenge for Carlsen.

The problem I see with cxd5 is that we would have the worst pawn structure ever.

29.Nxd6 Ra6 30.Nxb7 dxc4 looks horrible for us. We cannot recapture with bxc4 because of Rb8 or Rb6+ winning our knight. Nxd6: 2 votes (GoldTiger69, LucyLovesCrypto) cxd5: 1 vote (Morecoin, boolberry)

Nxd6: 2 votes (GoldTiger69, LucyLovesCrypto) cxd5: 1 vote (Morecoin, boolberry) Well, I'm sorry, but that's not the way to analyze a position. I mean, after 29... Ra6 why Nxb7? why not something more useful like c5? Anyway, the idea of analyze a position is to opt for the best moves for each side, not just for the other side Not only that, but even following your full line, after 30... dxc4 31. Nc5 saves the day.

Nxd6 will bring us many troubles.
